OK, you're in Miami. It's 80 degress, music is blaring, gorgeous people everywhere. Maybe being on vacation made my tastebuds a bit biased but I thought the food was great. We had many different types of sushi and sashimi and everything was good. Make sure to use lots of wasabi since it's not the strongest. Not many places where you can people watch, hear a live DJ and then walk a block and go nightclubbing on a Sunday. Is it authentic? no. Does anyone care if the food's good and there are gorgeous women everywhere?
I'll be sure to go back, I'm in Miami Bitch!
Did we have to wait - yes we did. Along with a long line of other poshly (and in many cases scantily) clad types. But what a wait it was. Swamped though she was, our bartender whipped up a round of mojitos second only to those concocted at a bar in Camden Town.
We'd scarcely polished them off when our wait came to an end and the hostess led us to our table on the patio. There we ordered a platter of the hands-down best sushi I've experienced (we stuck with mostly specialty rolls, mind you- the Ezo and the Samba Dromo Roll were unbelievable), were deftly served by a spunky waitress (it's killing me that I can't remember her name), were visited by Amazing Adam (if a guy ever swings by your table and introduces himself as Amazing Adam and asks if you'd like to see his show, just give the man $10. GIVE IT TO HIM. Totally worth it.), and had a rousing conversation with the group of middle aged men who couldn't believe their luck - they'd just convinced a group of 5 possibly 21-year-olds to join their table by offering to pick up the bill. Welcome to Miami, gentlemen.
Get ready to lighten your wallet at Samba, but also be prepared for an experience well worth the splurge.
The food is amazing but I have 2 words for you: Nina Fresa.
If you can drink just one, dinner's on me.
Sushi Samba is pricey but worth it. The popularity of the place speaks for tiselt. In addition to an eclectic and excitiing sushi and sashimi offeriing don't forget to sample some of the side dishes and appetizers. We especially enjoyed the Sea Bass en brochette over Peruvian Corn. Very unusual and full of exotic and unique flavors!!
I eat there only if I'm walking on Lincoln Rd and hungry for sushi, but lazy to drive to a better place. Food is fresh, but most of the times are prepared in their own way, sometimes not what you expect and I can't say it's good. Ceviche is bad, same as tiradito. I prefer Toni's on Washington. Good for people watching. Can get a little bit too loud.
Went to this Brazilian-Japanese famed fusion joint on a Thursday night and didn't really wait to be seated... although it was PACKed. My favorite was the seafood curry rice stew - it was hearty (unlike any of the ceviche options), and had generous pieces of fish. I deducted a couple stars for the outrageous hype, uncomfortable sofa tables, bathroom lady (she was a grouch), and inflated prices - but I suppose you pay more for the ambiance, people watching, cocktails and service. Speaking of service, the manager came up to check on us not once, but twice, which is always a great sign in South Beach...
Having been to the Vegas one, this one doesn't disappoint. Same great fusion food. Love the tacos/taquitos with the hot sauce. nom nom. The anticuchos are great too, my fave is the seabass. Some of the rolls are yummy too, I liked the one with lobster. Kinda pricey but worth trying!
Every visit back gets better & better!
So I have been here several times & this time it was the icing on the cake! Went last night & ordered almost everything on the menu (well it felt like it): Rock shrimp tempura, tuna ceviche, yellow tail ceviche, pork belly anticuchos, sea bass anticuchos, bobo brazil roll, spicy tuna roll, cali roll, green envy roll, el topo roll, neo tokyo roll, & maya roll. My favs were the pork belly w/ the soo yummy pozole/choclo/hominy, rock shrimp, & all the sushi rolls! We also had the best drinks ever watermelon caiprinhas & lychee mojitos!!! The music was great at always & the service was pretty good.
God I know if I eat here to much I will have my own pork belly! (side note I did NOT eat all that food alone)
Ok, I hate giving such low stars, but you have to give credit (or lack there of) where credit is due. I ate there last night and it was crazy overpriced, the sushi wasn't all that great, and the hostess at the door was quite rude. The music was also too loud. Things I did enjoy? Their edemame (hard to mess up) and our waitress, very sweet. If you're looking for sushi at beach go somewhere else.
*DISCLAIMER* If we happened to be dating during this time, and we happened to get in an argument over our lunch here, and you happen to be reading this - I am NOT giving it a 5 star rating to rub it in your face. :)
OK - now that I've gotten *that* out of the way . . . .
What can I say? I loved the food, ambiance, and people watching on Lincoln Ave. *Note: This all comes at a price, but Sushi Samba is an EXPERIENCE, not just a meal. Dallas had a Sushi Samba *pouring a sake out for our homey* that went the way of endangered restaurants, so it was a MUST that I visit Miami's Sushi Samba since I was familiar with their inventive fusion cuisine. I didn't get a chance to check out the bathroom here, but the Dallas bathroom was a 2-way mirrored unisex bathroom - I will visit every Sushi Samba around the world based on this, and this alone.
I could easily have ordered the entire menu, but I spared my date the small business loan. Among the three of us (a local friend of mine joined us - and also recommended it - which is always a strong testimony) the lunch ended up being $150 w/ drinks, bento box, eel sashimi, and a handful of appetizers for us to share. Fish was swimmingly good. The Peruvian, Brazilian, and Japanese twist is apparent, as I can't put my finger on why their appetizers are "different", but just that they are.
A little pricier than expected, but "I'm in Miami, trick". (LMFAO)
PS: Oh yes. I just did.
We were going to try Doraku for sushi last night but it was packed with a bachelorette party so we opted for the consistent SushiSamba.
This place is pretty solid when it comes to sushi. The service -- you just expect it to be a little below average because you're on Lincoln.
The miso soup was a little bland but with a little soy - it was OK. My husband had a random side of purple potatoes which are ALWAYS delicious!!!
We tried the Ezo, Green envy, spicy tuna and salmon avocado rolls. They were GREAT! The rolls are a little small, but still very good.
There is no way you can sit inside when you eat at SushiSamba, it is just WAY TOO loud in there.
this new york transplant is not great but very good foodwise
interesting and good rolls even one with mozarella i know it sounds weird but its good
allthough it is on lincoln road i prefer the inside of the restaurant
great decor
great drinks
great dj`s
maybe i should give a 5 star overall
but the food is 4 star
Great location, Great food. I have been here several times and never had a bad meal. The sushi is different, tons of trendy varieties of sushi and they are all great. If you go on the weekend make sure you make reservations or you will wait forever.
This review may seem a bit biased at first glance, but Sushi Samba is one of those restaurants that I frequent weekly, though not because of the food.
I have been coming here for years, in large part due to the personable bartenders and wait staff. No, Sushi Samba does not have the best or freshest sushi or sashimi in Miami. Its dishes are not anything extraordinary. However, stop in especially on a Tuesday or Friday night, and you will understand what makes this place one of my favorites: atmosphere! It's always busy, there are usually beautiful girls at the bars, there is a dj playing "restaurant-friendly" music (ambient, downtempo, deep house, bossa nova) and the bartenders and wait staff remember your name and drink after just a couple of visits (a rare occurrence on SoBe these days).
Now, there are those that seek quantity for the money they are spending. At first glance, Sushi Samba may seem like your average overpriced Lincoln Road tourist trap. Some will go once, never to come again. Like all things in life, Sushi Samba is a balance: decent fare (for sushi lovers and land-lubbers alike), stiff, tasty drinks, eye-candy, and music.
Some recommendations:
Ikura (nigiri)
Samba Sushi or Sashimi assortment
Salmon Ceviche
Yellowtail Ceviche
Tuna Tataki
Lobster Ceviche
New Tokyo Roll
Ezo Roll
Yellowtail Jalapeno Roll
Caipirinha (available with fresh fruit flavors)
Decent sake selection
Mojitos (always with fresh spearmint)
This restaurant was fun, funky and very Miami Beach. However, it was also a little too expensive for my taste. Don't get me wrong, I love sushi and I love to try new places wherever I go. I also have a budget and 26 dollars didn't buy me more than 6 rolls, a seaweed salad and a water. I got the Ezo rolls, which had salmon and chives. Not a very exciting choice. My companions had the Green Envy rolls, which were a little more fun. The seaweed salad was composed of three different types of seaweed and had a little bit of salmon roe on top. It was pretty good, but as everything in this place, it was trying a little too hard. The drink menu was extensive and had a lot of different types of sake. However, all of the bells and whistles of this trendy sushi place did not add up to a true sushi experience for me.
When I went down to Miami, I made sure this was one of my feeding destinations before hopping on a plane back to Beantown. I wanted to like this place, I really did. The reviews were sweet, sweet literature on a page, serving as my beacon of hope guiding me into the heart of Miami Beach.
I couldn't have been more disappointed. The wide variety of sushi the BF and I ordered (all suggestions by our waiter) were all very boring. Instead of your typical spicy mayo, they'd throw in a chili and somehow that was enough to constitute the Brazilian/Peruvian cuisine? Come on people. Let's be a little more creative here. That all might have been overlooked had the fish been fresh, but it wasn't. It smelled fishy and it tasted fishy. That's gross.
I understand this whole Japanese food = chic and trendy wave sweeping the nation, but let's not forget... you still need to bring the sushi to the table, not just the samba (or the dinky chilis in this case).
I actually really liked this place! the atmosphere was lively and so were the people at the bar where we sat! Our bartender (meredith) was really helpful and sweet, until the end when we asked for separate checks. boo.
The rock shrimp was really good!!!! we had an assortment of things that night...maya rolls topped with a tomatillo salsa and some other roll that was warm...friend no likey, but i did.
I must say, its GENIUS that they have a cocktail tree. its $60 and you choose 3 different cocktails from their list and they make you 2 of each. amazing. next time, I'm getting that!!!!!!!
Walking up to this place, it doesn't seem like anything I'd ever like. A little loud, maybe a little trendy? Brazilian?? A chain? Now that I'm familiar with it I doesn't quite feel that trendy to me. Far less so than, say Doraku or Bond St. or of course, Nobu.
The food is good. I've never been disappointed here. Today I went for lunch and dinner. I really didn't want to go twice because there are so many places to eat, but it's just comfortable. I sit at the bar close to the door and there are often characters there to interact with.
I actually walked up to Doraku for dinner first, but I looked in and remembered that it's got that "do I look right" kind of feel to it. And no, I didn't feel like I looked right. Sushi Samba is more laid back.
I've been around the circuit of Miami sushi places and this one, to my surprise, is at the table with the better ones.
Today, for lunch, I had 6 pieces of sushi and a Green Envi roll for $24.
For dinner I had 6 pieces of sushi and a Neo Tokyo roll for $26.50. A couple fewer pieces of sushi than many others' combos but also better rolls. Most, places, I usually have to argue to have something other than a CA roll with my Moriawase -- and then there's usually an upcharge anyway. (I'm allergic to crab -- and why would I want artificial crab even if I weren't?)
This isn't the best sushi I've ever had but it's good. The rolls are tasty. The fish is fresh and cut well (1 piece out of 12 had a little issue but otherwise, they all melted in my mouth) Oh! For dinner, I added in the Ezo roll which was VERY good.
As of today, this is my new "comfort" sushi place, replacing Yoko's which is really good but doesn't come with the atmosphere and location.
I didn't notice before but there's a second, inner bar on the other side of the room. It's a little deeper in the den. Next time, I may try that. I'm warming up to Samba.
In attempts to satiate my sushi cravings before leaving Miami and returning to the desert of west Texas, we dined at sushi samba :-)
Arriving for a late lunch on a Saturday we sat outdoors to people watch as we ate. We ordered the green envy roll with a sashimi sampler, and a paella. The food was really good but not outstanding. Flavors could have been more bold to match the bold prices.
Pro: the food was fresh. Yum.
Con: the price was a little steep
Hit this place up last Friday... Mob scene as usual, truly one of the best people watching spots in Miami if not all of South Florida. A mix of tourists and locals alike, however sitting outside was the equivalent of walking into a sauna with a North Face Jacket. Think it was just particularly humid this night and ended up needing a quick shower before heading over to the Mondrian for drinks and cougar hunting.
Hostesses and Waitresses here were all good looking in the hooters waitress sort of way (All hot from far but like anything has more than some flaws so a decent collection of 7's & 8's).. One of the hostesses gave complete attitude upon being asked a simple question in regards to wait time. I'm sorry she didnt get the memo that this is her job (sorry the modeling/casting couch didnt work out for her)to be polite and give me a FYI in regards to when I would be seated.
Basically everyone who has a reservation is forced to wait at the bar for at least twenty minutes before being seated. This usually is a welcome invite for me to start pounding drinks and try to pick up some trash bags. However on this night, i was famished having just gotten off a plane and trekking halfway across Sobe from the Gansevoort South to have dinner here.
Our waitress was very friendly, polite and recommended some great sushi rolls along with some kick ass entrees, speaking of which, the bumper on our waitress was worth the price of entry. She had a rump that could only be found in a Brazzers Video. The bill for dinner ended up coming to about 80 per person but that was with a bunch of sushi rolls, couple of appetizers, entrees and a few rounds of drinks. Saw some great pieces of tail walking by. Definitely a good time. Loved all the talent lingering around lincoln road along with the table of animals broads across from us. Will always go back to this establishment when in Miami. Highly recommend getting bombed here and than tearing up one of Sobe's many nightclubs.
The food here is great - the fish is fresh and they do a great job blending sushi and latin flavors together. And the drinks are great as well.
Service is typically excellent even whey they're busy. I had ok service once, but that'll happen at any restaurant at one point or another.
Aside from the cool decor, great food and great drinks, the location and people watching are great. There are plenty of outdoor tables on Lincoln Rd where you can enjoy a beautiful day/night and people watch until you're blue in the face. If it's too hot, there's always the inside dining room and bar which are very cool and a good pre-club meeting place.
Yes, it's a bit pricey and the portions are on the smaller side. But folks...it's on Lincoln Rd in South Beach. If you aren't willing to shell out some cash and eat a normal portion of food like the rest of the world does, you shouldn't be in South Beach in the first place.
Waitress recommended we order a bottle of sake for the table. What a great idea! I got the steak sandwich with a sunny side egg on top, came with fries, and some shishito (fried peppers). Yummy! Ikura sushi was also a loaded with caviar. AC felt good during lunchtime too. A very pleasant sushi experience!
I LOVE SUSHI SAMBA!!! I go time and time again and it never dissapoints!!!
My favorites include (these are not the exact menu names, sorry), the sea bass skewers, the pork belly skewers, the yellowtail taquitos, tuna taquitos, spicy-crunchy tuna rolls, the calamari with tamarind ginger sauce (or something like that), rock shrimp tempura, etc, etc. . . I could go on and on. The mojitos and the nina fresa cocktails are also the best.
The service is great, especially for South Beach and for an extremely busy, happening place. . . and if you ever have any problems ask for a manager and they will take care of it immediately. I have seen them in action and it is impressive.
I have also been to the Las Vegas and both New York Sushi Sambas and they are all wonderful!!!
It is not cheap, especially if you are hungry and are also drinking but it is well worth it.
It is great for a date but also to go with a group.
While it is not a perfect kid place, I have gone with a 3 year old and an 8 year old and they totally enjoyed themselves and ate from the kid's menu. They have crayons and kid-friendly chopsticks (but sometimes you have to ask for them as they forget to bring them over).
Great spot for people watching. I went there for drinks and appetizers and enjoyed myself thoroughly. The cocktails are interesting and a bit unique when it comes to combination of flavors. The service was also amazing. I never once had to ask for anything!
Next time I'm on the beach this will be my spot.
Thank you, Sushi Samba for saving me on my 5 day trip to Miami. Sorry Miami, but there is some dire food in South Beach. We saw A LOT of skinny female creatures around town which proved that the locals do not care to eat so much here. The sushi was good but the anticuchos were delicious...esp. the sea bass and miso (tastes like the black cod at Nobu but at a fraction of the price). Minus one star for the seating outside - it seemed cool till I noticed I had 10 bites on my legs the next day.
My favorite restaurants are usually not super trendy hotspots. My general impression is that hip clientele tend to eat no more a few morsels of appetizers and cocktails, and are not wholly concerned about the food, and would rather use their attendance as a calling card of coolness. As a result, the quality of the food never usually HAS to live up to the reputation of the Restaurant Brand, per say...
One would think that Sushi Samba on Lincoln Road could potentially fall into this category of trendsetter, but definitely not the case. Everything on the menu is FANTASTIC.... Sushi with a Latin American flair, a recipe perfect for hot Miami nights! The cocktails are originally exotic and deliciously tropical, but you can never go wrong with their classic Mojito or the cleverly named "Samba Juice".
I was not exaggerating when I said that EVERYTHING on the menu is fantastic... The tempura is light, crispy, properly done and presented beautifully, and served with several dipping sauces, including a Miso, a Chimichurri and the classic tempura. Tasty, but personally, when I visit Sushi Samba, I try to stay away from the basic dishes, leaning towards culinary concoctions that cannot be found in local sushi joints. However, do try the Green Bean Tempura!
My favorite dish of the evening was the Yellowtail Seviche... fresh, cool yellowtail tossed in ginger, garlic and soy, topped with shredded radish. Thankfully, the shredded radish soaks up the remaining soy/ginger marinade, because it was so delicious I was tempted to drink it with a straw! (IM KIDDING! I only do that at home...)
The Seabass Miso Anticucho is INSANE! Soft, tender, perfectly cooked seabass in a tangy miso sauce... There are several layers of flavor in this dish, subtle and smooth in the beginning, and then a slightly tart, almost tangy but also smooth layer enters second with the miso. This is what I love about Sushi Samba, each dish has multiple layers of flavor that compliment each other perfectly, but in an unfamiliar way.
My favorite roll was the bobo Brazil... "seared kobe beef, avocado, kaiware, shiso, red onion and chimichurri ponzu".... Complicated, flavorful, tender, multi-layered and delicious, just like a self-empowered woman, the bobo Brazil reminded me of a Beef Negamaki/California roll with chimichurri sauce. The roll was filling, but not too heavy or dense. Delish!
MIAMI FOODIE RATING: 5 OF 5 STARS
Met the boy's brother here for a drink and brunch while the girls and I were vacationing in Miami. Good location and good food. Definitely catered toward the non-Asian population but nice place nonetheless. No complaints really.. just wish their portions were a bit larger. Would definitely go again just for the cocktails!! YUMMY!
1. Cocktails are great - samba juice, nina fresa, lemon samurai.
2. Fun, colorful decor. Nice ambiance inside. We would have sat outside had it not been for the boy's brother advising against it. "There's a reason why most people are sitting inside despite the warm weather". - Good call, it starting POURING 20 minutes after we sat down inside.
3. Rainbow Dragon - 6 small pieces for $12 - YUM! Can I get 10 pieces next time?
The booth seats in the back are fun and can sit 6 people comfortably. There's a random step at the edge of the booth .. which I conveniently forgot about on my way to the bathroom. I let out a loud YELP as my sandal fell off and I stumbled and tried to regain my balance. "Yeah, she's definitely had enough" -boy's brother. LOL. Careful of the random steps!
** NOTE: The "sushi" is meant to be good - I am Asian and do not like raw fish.. so this review is semi-worthless to you unless you wanted to know about the cocktails, decor, or my embarrassing incident with the steps**
Good Sushi
I had the yellowtail scallops roll and another roll that i forgot...
The most memorable thing there was the Cucmuber Martini. It tastes like a cucumber watermelon body mist fragrance, but its not a fragrance, its a drink!
We sat outside. The servers were oblivious, but courteous to my friend Shellbell who has a puppy-he brought out a "to go" dish with water for the pup. That was nice, I thought.
On Tuesdays, they put a huge board over the round center bar area inside and have go go dancers on top instead...something to look forward to.
Average at best...,
Overpriced with a been there, done that scene.
No reason to return.
The best place I ate in Miami. Definitely didn't expect it to be that good but it was. Sashimi was fresh, drinks were good and the ambiance definitely fit the bachelorette party occasion. Unfortunately, I am not a big fan of Miami but that's a different review altogether. =p If I were ever to return, I'd definitely come back here.
Sushi samba has some good food and some nice parties.
It's one of a few restaurants that stay open late on Lincoln Rd. If you are in the need for a late night snack or full meal, you may want to check this place out.
I was recently there on a Tuesday night and the place was nicely packed. Not too over crowded, but I was told the reason for that was it had been raining hard the last hour or so. Either way, there was a nice crowd and they all seemed like they were having a great time. There was a DJ playing music, a bit loud for my taste as I would like to converse while having some food and not have the need to scream or yell.
We weren't too hungry so we ordered a few appetizers which they all turned out to be quite nice. One thing that I did do differently was to squeeze some limes onto my edamame. Reason for it was that they served it wih a few lime wedges. Wow, never knew of this nice simple trcik. The lime enhanced it to another level; figures since lime tends to the same to meats, chicken, and pork.
Overall, the food I had was good and nicely presented. I have been here a few times before and see no reason why not to come back.
Great ambiance, but little expensive for a tiny dish !?
I used to go to Sushi Samba a lot before finding out all the other Japanese restaurants in Miami. I love the ambiance and some night events they host. Food is pretty good too. I like the seaweed salad that comes in three different flavors a lot ^^ The only thing is it's little too small for the price we pay. It is a good place for couples and parties, but if you want to eat a lot of home-made Japanese food, I would go elsewhere. I would recommend this place for dinner, but not so much for lunch.
This is one of the few restaurants on Lincoln Road that is actually worthwhile. Most Lincoln Road places are terrible tourist traps where the rude servers undoubtedly pour arsenic in your drinks and laugh about it because they hate you, but Sushi Samba has good food and you are treated well.
I personally prefer it for lunch, when the prices are lower, and it isn't so crowded. The sea bass is DELISH. And the sushi rolls are great! Very creative, and fresh and delicious.
Great date place. The atmosphere is hyper and glam.
A "standard" for trips to Miami Beach, I enjoy the food and ambiance every time I come here!
Service is so-so, but that's not why you're here. You're here because its in a good location, has some VERY innovative and tasty sushi rolls, and the people watching is quite good.
My favorites are the tokyo roll and the brazilian roll - which is wrapped in a thin layer of beef. Very non-traditional, very tasty.
It's always busy here, so if you go on a saturday or friday, better get your reservation in. They can be accessed via opentable.
I was here a few weeks ago for lunch, very good food. Excellent atmosphere and music selection was great!
And on a separate note.....Props to Sushi Samba for sponsoring the GINZATROPICALIA Graffiti Gone Global event during Art Basel!
They showcased great grafitti artists, put up a skate ramp and also created a 'pop-up' lounge for 3 days during the art shows, serving food and drinks...Hoping they'd do the same again next year!
I was craving sushi and since Doraku is a ghost town at lunch, I decided to give Sushi Samba a try since I had yet to go there in my 10 plus Sobe trips.....
Overall impression, "meh..."
It was good, but WAY too overpriced for what I got: small seaweed salad, shrimp tempura handroll and an inside out salmon avocado roll. The seaweed salad and salmon avocado roll were both very good, but the shrimp tempura hand roll flat-out sucked. There was nothing else in it other than two very greasy pieces of shrimp tempura (gross greasy, not light tempura-ish greasy) and a tiny bit of rice. It was loosely rolled and pretty much lacked any flavor. Every hand roll I've had anywhere else had either avocado, sprouts, or some sort of additional filler for the handroll as well as a lot more rice. SS is great for people watching if you sit outside on a beautiful afternoon like I did. The wait staff was friendly and helpful. However, my total before tip and only water to drink was $31. Too much for sub-par sushi. I'll stick w/ Doraku.
If you're a tourist, go ahead and eat at Sushi Samba Dromo. You'll love it.
If you're a local, don't go here unless you like overpriced, not-so-fresh sushi, and pretentious waiters.
Restaurants on Lincoln Road are all about people watching, and never about great food or service.
With that said, the rolls we had weren't bad, just very, very small. I ordered the Ezo roll and it was 4 pieces for $12. Our waiter was less than enthusiastic about...everything, really.
I would eat here again if all other restaurants in South Florida burned down and I didn't have a car to drive up north.
so jet lagged from 12 hours of travel but i had to go and check out the scene friday night.
and it was hoppin.' loud pumping music. beautiful people watching other beautiful people. all made me forget my tiredness.
we ordered the pork dumplings, tuna seviche, and the rock shrimp tempura among several other dishes. everything was wonderful.
being three girls, we had to order dessert!
the tres leches was so good that i was tempted to lick the plate.
overall, lil pricey but deelish.
Don't eat here! It's a rip off! There are so many better local little sushi restaurants. This one is major tourist trap...and sushi is mediocre.
Well we had plans to go to Kafa Cafe for Brunch but when we got there they were having an Obama 100 day in office B.S fundraiser at the Restaurant and there was some kind of buffet you had to sign up for so we decided to jet from there and head to Lincoln Road for Brunch at SushiSamba. Now i have had the Brunch there before so it wasnt new to me at all but one of the guests was a newbie.
We were very hungry and we let our eyes order for us. We had the $15 brunch which is great for a party of four because we can pick up to four items from the menu and it is served family style to feed all four of us.
Since i was hungry i ordered the Churasco Steak and eggs (which i later paid for) my friend had the Fritata, and my other two friends ordered the White fish plate and the Egg Benedict.
I started out with a Capirinha as usual then lots of water since the ladies decided they wanted to get a tan so we were sitting right under the sun.
The White fish came out first and it was served on two plates, The ladies were very smart and suggested that we men tackle one plate while they eat the other since they could tell by the look on our faces that we will devour the food before they even swallow. The whitefish was great with Bagel like crackers and spread , there were 3 types of fish on the platter and very tasty.
Next came the Egg Benedict which was one egg sandwich per person. It was very tasty but i took it down with one bite/swallow and was ready for the next item.
Then came the Churassco and eggs and all of a sudden my friends kinda left me alone as the lone carnivore to tackle the Churrasco steak. I tried to save face but it was a lot of food but where i come from "We dont waste no meat" so i had to represent.
By the Time the 4th platter came i was "FED UP" (Ala IDI AMIN meaning i was full) and had a taste of the Quiche like dish and called it a wrap. I knew we should have ordered the fruit plates or the pancakes as one of our items instead of thinking with our guts but nevertheless, It was a great meal and the People Watching was to die for , From Well groomed showdogs to Plastic ladies and grown ass men wearing thongs and guys on rollerblades and skates it was definitely a Brunch worth the experience.
FYI if you dont like pets then dont come to Lincoln Road cos i honestly believe the pets own their owners in that part of town.
