For the price ($6), this sure can't be beat for a weekend outing in DFW. Every few minutes the waves come on and the kids and happy grown ups cheer. You can even bring in your own cooloers and lunches - it doesn't get much better than that! You do have to fight to find a spot in the afternoon and people bump into you - come early. I was impressed with how clean the most of the park was. The resrooms smell like ass and the floors are wet, though.

For the price, I rate this 5 stars. A really decent waterpark for children 5 and under - an okay waterpark for kids 6-10. No waterslides, but the wave pool is super fun and the park even provides intertubes. An awesome experience for a fraction of the cost of traditional waterparks.
We have gone during the week and were there at opening and there were no crowds. We bring in coolers and get a nice table in the shade. Bees are a big issue here, though - I have even seen a little boy get stung while swimming in the wave pool. Beeeeee careful! :) -

Short review - Bridges that price-sensitive gap between a city pool and a water park.
Good - Surf and Swim consists of a decent splash pad for toddlers and preschoolers and a good-sized wave pool. That's it. But for $5/kid and $6/adult (under 2 free), it doesn't break the bank for a Saturday.
Bad - the crowds (don't let go of your tube once you find one), parking can be tight, the restrooms aren't always in nice shape and it's a bit of a drive for me from north Garland.
I also had a problem last year when my son was bored by the splash pad but not skilled enough to thoroughly enjoy himself in a crowded wave pool. If this complex had a zero-depth regular pool, it would definitely be 4 stars.
