For the price ($6), this sure can't be beat for a weekend outing in DFW.  Every few minutes the waves come on and the kids and happy grown ups cheer. You can even bring in your own cooloers and lunches - it doesn't get much better than that!  You do have to fight to find a spot in the afternoon and people bump into you - come early.  I was impressed with how clean the most of the park was.  The resrooms smell like ass and the floors are wet, though.

Need a place to entertain yours, or someone else's children during the summer? This is it. I took a friend's kids last week. For 5 bucks each, they are set for hours. The park is clean, kept up, organized and the wave pool is large. There is no extra charge for life jackets or tubes with handles. The bell sounds and the waves start and the kids loose their minds. You have a good book, you're set. Unless of course you are in the pool with them as an excuse. The park could use better bee control; there are plenty by the trash cans, but that's about it. I remember going as a kid almost 20 years ago, and was seriously surprised at the shape that Garland Parks and Rec has kept this pool in.
