Interesting but small collection of skategear. Almost all the t-shirts are slim fitted so that if you don't weigh about 140 soaked and wet your gonna look rediculous in them. The staff is Supreme are very snobbish and on one occasion when a customer commented on how small the clothing was a staffer tried to incline that maybe the problem wasn't the clothes but actually the problem was the customers weight!! I couldnt believe what I was hearing from the staffer! The only reason this store even gets 2 stars is because I did find a really nice leather jacket at Supreme a couple of years back and still have it today.

This store is full of arrogant staff members who believe in their stores own hype. Not too bad of a skate shop to get your gear from......if you weigh 140 or less of course!!

I've been skating for 14 years and I know all about Supreme and their reputation for being snobby and all that. Obviously its no longer a traditional skateshop, they're basically just raking in cash off of tourists and people just wanting Supreme branded items and that's fine. If I actually want skate goods I'll go to Autumn or KCDC or Shut. I occassionally like wearing their t-shirts or hats back home just because no one else will have them and people usually will be jocking my shit, even though they are a bit pricey.

It seems as if their employees think you actually are a legitimate skateboarder they'll treat you a little better (which is still wack, they should be courteous to everyone). A couple weeks ago I was skating by and my hardware was a little loose so I stopped in to use their tools. A guy recognized my Goods hat (a similar type skate boutique store in Seattle that my friends own) and kind of gave me a weird nod like I was "ok." Another time I went in there to trade some wheels for a different size. It was nice of them to allow me to do it, but the young guy working was still kind of standoffish. When I asked who manufactured a certain set of wheels (I prefer Creative Urethane, which makes a lot of the companies' wheels) he softened up and almost acted embarrassed because he admitted that he didn't know and hadn't kept up on "that stuff." That was pretty funny.

I thought these guys were just snobs, until my girl pointed out ,"they're all stoned." Makes sense. Oh, and they carried the latest in $54 Fifty-nine Fifty fitted caps.

This is not a skate shop, it's a crappy boutique.  If you actually want skate gear head up town to Autumn or even BBB.

I remember an era of skating when you couldn't buy your way in.
Is this a skate shop? A shoe boutique?  ( I fucking hate that designation ) or a 'tween male modeling agency?

Interesting selection of hard to find skater gear. Customer service is hard to find too. One guy who "helped" me said they didn't have a particular shoe in my size. I asked him for another and he proceeds to wander off, never to return. Sorry to bother you dude. Employees here seem more interested in  posing with their newest boxer-revealing pants and sweet kicks than helping out customers. Fuck you Supreme.

Not my favorite boutique. Its a small spot dedicated to current Supreme collections. I think its just way to basic. Nothing special happening.  Oh well.

Supreme's reputation precedes itself and with good reason. Whether it's a tshirt, deck, or attitude you want(Supreme is infamous for a snobby staff) Supreme has got it. Normally quiet, when a new item or season drops, lines can go past the block. Prices are fair and what you can expect from "streetwear".

When I was a young teenager growing up in the suburbs, I used to spend my summers in the city with a bunch of guys that worked/skated for Zoo York.  Supreme was the spot and they always had the coolest shit.  That store was IT.

Fast forward ten years.  Supreme is hardly a skateshop anymore.  Instead, it's become a tourist attraction.  People go there to find shit that sports the basic Supreme logo, but when's the last time you really saw something ILL there that you had to have?  I can't remember.  Some stuff is okay but the majority of their goods really doesn't impress me.

The staff are a bunch of dickheads too.

Supreme used to be cool, but like it's native New York City, things just ain't what they used to be.

As a skater (okay, ex-skater), I can honestly say that this place's legend is much, much bigger than itself. I think of it as the Magnolia Bakery of skateboard stores. It's really nothing more than a small room with a few decks and a few shirts. Outside, you'll occasionally spot skaters who can't ollie.

World famous or world's lamest? Just joking, that is too harsh. This gear was hot about three years ago. The store is alright but the one in L.A. has a skate bowl in it and is on the legendary Fairfax. This N.Y. one is next to G-Star, yeay!

Once in a while they have a cool graphic shirt.

The clothes are clearly a hip-hop skate hybrid. If that is your bag then this is probably the spot to be.

Finally managed to stop by Supreme while I had a few extra hours to shop in NYC... Awesome place, very reasonably priced shirts and sweats... Boards looked amazing, unfortunatley I didn't feel like bringing a board on the plane and back to NorCal... The staff were very friendly (esp for NYC!!), highly recommended!

in the world of urban fashion, there's a lot of hype. it's all about limited runs, hard-to-find gear, and who gets their paws on it first. almost no brand does it like supreme. usually they have some amazing stuff going on, whether it's a collab with takashi murakami for skateboards, joe cool, or the ohsofuckingsick oakleyXsupreme throwdown. i went in today wanting just a hat. of course i wouldn't mind walking out with some new tees or a hoodie or three..maybe even some new sb's. but, looking around i noticed everything was a size 8 for hats, or L or XL for shirts and jackets. what's the deal? did urban fashion suddenly go the way of the overweights? or was i simply sleeping on the mediums and missed that train? whatever. it doesn't matter. point is, i wanted a hat, and due to my lack of owning a fat head, was unable to show my love for supreme. as much as i hate even thinking it, it's times like this i wish supreme wasn't so elite and actually sold their stuff on their website..

skate or die, brah.

If you are a skate boarder or just want to look like one this is the place to shop. Supreme is world renowned as one of the coolest underground skate culture brands. If you don't know about it they are ok with that. But if you are in the know it doesn't get any better than their selection of great decks, parts, clothes, and most importantly sneakers. This is one of the few places you can count on getting the hottest new limited edition Nike Dunk SBs or other great brands and limited edition collaborations!

scenario:

foreign asian teenager enters store and looks around.  he rumbles through the tshirt stacks folded on the counter - picks it up, takes a gander on the printed designs and nonchalantly tosses it to the side.  employees immediately stop what they are doing and (there were two of them) stares at the ignorant tourist and are mind boggled wondering if he has any idea what a disaster he's making.  employees continue to stare until they had enough.  asian kid continues to shuffle through the neatly stacked tshirts and pants leaving a mess as random as his spontaneously arranged hairstyle.  employees advised his that all the folded shirts, etc are available for display on the hangers across the room, but poor asian kid ignores their advice.....wrong move kid.  asian kid gets yelled at.

-scene-

the lesson:  dont be ignorant.  the store is clean and flawless inside, why the hell would you want to mess up how it looks?  folks be spending time to make their store look presentable, and to think they would just let that go for some inconsiderate customer? the balls.

anywho....its the home of the world famous supreme.  they have a great selection of skateboard related gear, threads and kicks.  if you're into it, they carry a handful of exclusive kicks esp nike dunk SBs.  prices are moderate for what they are. walking distance from the 4, 5, and 6.  oh, and with all sarcasm aside, they're workers are cool and pretty funny.
