We started using Corey and his team a few months ago and we LOVE him. The first time we met him he was very good with our dog, Moose, and was happy to answer all the questions we had. Even when small mishaps happened (one of his employees lost our keys, doh) or our doggy bag holder went missing, Corey immediately took it upon himself to profusely apologize and replace things.
He is professional, friendly, and we also love the fact that he takes our dog out for such a long time. Our hyper little corgi pup comes back pooped and so happy! He leaves notes about where they went and who Moose played with (so our paranoid puppy parent woes are always at ease).
Recently, he also has his colleague Chris walk Moose, and likewise Chris also leaves us notes -- which is awesome.
Thanks Corey and Chris for taking such awesome care of our furry pup! They even gave him Christmas treats that he thoroughly enjoyed. We're beyond thrilled with Superdog and would highly recommend them to any doggy parent. -

I started using Corey/Superdog services 6 months ago. Initially, I must admit, I was nervous because our dog Otis (4 month retriever. Boxer. mutt) was a rescue so had developed some guarding issues. I wasn't sure how he would be received. Corey and Superdog took him with open arms, sending me picture updates on his walks so I could see who he was making friends with :) They maintain a professional and respectful business. When there was any change in walkers I was always notified, they were very good about communication.
Corey's great manner with him let me know this business was one that really cares about dogs, not just one that walks dogs. I researched training courses for months for Otis as well, but it seemed he immediately improved once he began being walked by Superdog. It was like he was being trained and walked all at once. Great value. The walks also were averaging 3 hrs, which was much longer than the typical 1-2hr. most walkers provide. They are very flexible with changing hours and schedules, which worked well for my fiance and I since we are both in advertising with crazy and inconsistent hours. I knew on days I couldn't be there for Otis, that he was in good hands.
I definitely recommend them to anyone considering their service. -

I'd like to update my review of Corey since it's been a few years, however I want to point out that Corey and his team are nothing short of amazing.
They have been my dog's walker for almost 5 years and always bring home my dog very happy and tired. They even are expanding their service area to accommodate my upcoming move. Now that's an amazing dog walking service!!
I have worked with several people on Corey's staff and they have all been great. Super friendly and very competent. While it hurts me to see Jessica's negative review and how upset she is, I can honestly say that knowing Corey and his team for so long, I am 99.9% positive that it was an honest mistake. It stinks to see such a bad review for such a great dog walker. Please look at the other reviews and note that all of these people use Corey's services and are more than thrilled with him. And so am I.1 Previous Review: Show all »

Facts: Corey Vitale owner and manager of Super Dog offers his clients complimentary walks for five star reviews on yelp. Super Dog has had four of his dogwalkers quit within the last six months. Corey Vitale puts his employees in situations with too many untrained, energetic and sometimes aggressive dogs that are expected to be walked off-leash. He often has his five full-time dogwalkers walk more than 16 dogs per day and sometimes up to 24. Many of his employees had no prior dog walking experience, and very little training after being hired. One of his previous long term employees was inappropriately abusive to some of the dogs. Corey has lost dogs himself and not informed the owners that they had gone missing, on several occasions. Corey encourages his employees to lie, and lies himself to his clients in order to keep the appearance of his company unblemished.

Superdog is a fantastic dog walking service! Corey has been walking our golden Bailey since he was 4 months old and my girlfriend and I could not be happier! As a somewhat scatterbrained human being I am so appreciative of superdogs flexibility and understanding with regard to scheduling. Not only does Corey (or one of his fantastic superdog dog walkers - especially Tyler...he rocks!) walk Bailey, he also spends time working with him on recall, which is not a great area of strength for our wandering dog. For those of you looking for a dog walker look no further, your stress level will decrease tremendously and your dog will be the happiest its ever been!

We were referred to Corey by a close friend of mine. He came over and immediately was interacting with our very energetic dog. Corey is very friendly and professional. On the days he takes our dog out she is very calm when we get home and we love it! He does have people who help him out which is understandable as he can not walk all of his dogs. During our first meeting he told us that eventually other people would be walking her. The notes are wonderful to have and is a great idea. When we have to leave our dogs for longer than we would like due to work it is reassuring that our dog was busy and having fun. Thank you so much Corey and his crew!

I have been using Super Dog for probably 5 years now... I remember I inquired about their services after watching Corey at the dog park interact with the dogs... I have a very high energy dog and appreciate that when I come home he is wore out and happy...
I often have to change my schedule around and they are always accommodating... I can honestly say over the past 5 years I have not had any serious issues with this service... I will continue to use them and feel comfortable giving them a high recommendation... -

We started having our Yellow Lab Luna walked by SuperDog this summer and couldn't say enough nice things about Corey or his staff. From the beginning Corey and Tyler (our pup's walker) have been professional, helpful, reliable and communicative. If we need her walked on a day she's not regularly schedule they respond to our texts right away and make sure she is take care of. A few months ago Luna got into a chocolate bar and of course was not feeling so well, they kept me updated throughout the day on her status and let me know how she was feeling when they were out and about at the Presidio- this was such a relief given that I was stuck at work and couldn't be with her.
I LOVE that they will take the dogs out longer then just an hour or two if possible. Most dog walkers in the area keep it to an hour on the dot! Thank you and Tyler and Corey for taking such good care of Luna- you guys are the best! -

Corey saved my life.. or at least my sanity.
I sprained my ankle and will be crutch bound for awhile. My first thought is uh oh crutches suck.. the second is what about the puppy? We have an extremely energetic, year old Shepherd mix and I am pretty sure she would kill me if I tried walking (hopping?) her on the hill that we live on.
I called Monday, he came over to meet Sasha Tuesday and Sasha started with them on Wednesday. It has been a fantastic experience.
He has taught her to behave offleash! Amazing for my ADD pup!
Highly recommend this service for anyone who needs their pup to socialize, burn off energy, and even brush up on their manners. -

SuperDog is the best! Corey and his crew have been great with my dog, Jackson, who is an energetic and playful one-year-old puppy. Jackson loves all his playtime with the other dogs and walkers. He's always perfectly happy and tuckered out when my husband and I get home from work -- a relief after a long day. Corey especially is great with reinforcing training, and another walker, Tyler, has become our go-to for boarding when we're out of town. I love that they offer a "2 walks per day" (so Jackson is out for about 6 hours each day) at a very reasonable rate -- the best we found when researching. All in all, I definitely recommend SuperDog!

We started using Corey when our Rhodesian Ridgeback was 8 weeks old. Both my husband and I work full-time so we wanted someone who we could trust to help train our pup and to give him as much love as we do and Corey met that criteria plus so much more. He sends us pictures and writes a note for every visit to let us know what he did with J , how well J did and how long each visit was. Corey and and his team are AMAZING. Our pup loves them and we just feel so happy leaving for the day knowing that our boy is being well taken care of. I HIGHLY recommend them to to take care of your dog!!!! Thanks Corey and Superdog for taking such good care of J! You guys are the BEST!!!!!!

I have been using this dog walker for about 6 months. Today my dog was "FORGOTTEN" by a dog walker named JEREMY. He was suppose to get 2 walks which amounts to 6 hours out of the house. Instead, my 110lb, 1 year old Rhodesian Ridgeback was left locked up, without being able to pee or poop for 14 HOURS. Nobody notified me or I would have left work early or had someone else let him out. 1000% unacceptable and CRUEL. This leaves us heartbroken and furious and there is no undoing it. Feel free to contact me for any questions.
In response to the owner's post. I appreciate the apology, but unfortunately an apology can not undo the damage done. Although Cory personally did not forget my dog, while he continues to employ people like Jeremy, I will never allow such irresponsible people access to my home and dog. My dog was in a panic when we got home after he was locked up for 14 hours- he will no longer go near his cage, or the kitchen where we keep it. When we left for short periods, we usually left him in the kitchen or his crate, but since it causes him so much anxiety and he immediately runs and hides by the door anxiously, we can no longer leave him alone. It was clearly a traumatic experience for a dog I have worked so hard with because of his initial separation anxiety- paying Superdog 600$-700$/month to ensure he was walked and cared for consistently. As for "reimbursement for future services"- this was never mentioned.
I would also like to add that when we first spoke about dog walking services- in person at my home, I was told he would be picked up between 9:30-10:00, which within about a week turned into 11:00-11:30 without anyone mentioning anything to me. The walks also turned into 5 hour max walks. In addition, when my leash was mixed up with another owners and I immediately notified both the dog walker and the owner, my own leash was not returned to me for at least 4 days, until I notified them that I was going to have to purchase a new leash. I have also had my dog's rabies tag lost while he was walked, which I had to pay to replace, and his name tag, which was found and returned to me a month later. I have also had numerous poop bag holders lost while he was being walked (at least 4), which I also paid to replace.Comment from Corey V. of SuperDog 8/24/2011

The problem with using "SuperDog" is that you cannot rely on the dog walker, Cory, who represents this business to be the one who will consistently come over and walk your pet.
Someone you don't know may come by in his place, without your consent or notification.
Later you might find out, after your leash is missing, or because his substitute failed to show up at all and take your dog out!, ...which is too late, by my terms.
Don't let his friendliness give you a false sense of security. Nice does not mean trustworthy, which is critical when leaving your dog and house-keys in someone else's care.

We have been using Corey and his crew for a few years. Our 2 large - but lazy - dogs have been so happy to get out with Superdog. The various people who walk them are so nice and genuinely seem to love our dogs. I love how flexible corey is with times and availability as well. I also think they take the dogs for a long time, not just the one hour - which is great. Woof, woof. Once in a while I see the staff out in the Presidio with the dogs and I am able to observe how good they are with their crew of dogs.

I want to set the record straight and say that Corey and Jeremy and the rest of the SuperDog crew are amazing! Jeremy was the only other person to walk my dog Ziggy. Jeremy broke my dog of his misbehavior and even taught him some tricks!! Which is amazing because Ziggy is a bulldogg and naturally hard headed!! Even though Jeremy is not currently employed by SuperDog, he helps the crew out when he can. And I know that he still pet sits some dogs from SuperDog when need be, and I don't trust just anyone with my dog. SuperDog is absolutely amazing and by far THE MOST reliable and trustworthy dogwalking company in San Francisco. Thank you SuperDog! Love y'alls guts.

Corey is AMAZING. We have been using him for almost 7 months and we have had nothing but positive experiences. He is very flexible with our dogs walking schedule and would pick Baron up at a moments notice. He even helped get Baron out and about after his knee surgery, and was very helpful in Baron's recovery.
My favorite part of his servce, are the detailed notes left each day about what Baron did and where he took him! -

Corey and his crew are the BEST! We have been working with him for over a year and have nothing but good things to say. Our dog loves going out with the group....she even sits by our front door around the time when she's picked up.
Corey and his staff are all very reliable and personable. Also, what's great (and unique) about Corey is that he does puppy visits at your home. Not all dog walkers will take the time to do this but we were very fortunate to have Corey play with and help train our dog literally from the first week we brought her home.
My husband and I heart SuperDog. Two thumbs way up!! -

It's almost a review that you don't want to write because then everyone else will know how good Corey and Super Dog are. We get our dogs walked on Tues. and Thurs of every week and the dogs don't even move to say hi when we get home. They are happy and exhausted and I don't feel guilty about working late those days. Super-Dog is awesome, we've been using them for 2 years now and they've never done anything to have us doubt using their service.

We got our dog Tom from the SPCA about one month ago. Corey was very accessible and came over within the first few days to meet Tom. Right away, Tom loved Corey and responded to him with excitement. Corey leaves us little notes about what Tom did during the day and even texts us pictures of Tom romping with other dogs. They are out for 3-4 hours each day. He always seems exhausted when we get home. We can tell they've been working on "recall" which makes the training from our end that much easier. We love Superdog!

After trying out several other dog walking services, my friend Angie P. recommended I give SuperDog a try. I am so glad I took her advice! Corey and his team are AMAZING. They walked my dog, Dante, for a year-and-a-half while I was living in SF and were beyond fabulous. Dante would wiggle and jump with excitement every time he saw Corey, Jeremy or Randy and he listened to them so well. Every evening I would come home to one tired pup! After hours of jumping in the water or running through the park with other dogs his size, Dante was exhausted. Not only did he get hours of exercise in, he got to socialize with other dogs in packs and the guys worked on Dante's recall and commands every day with him! If I could give more stars, I would.

I was corey's neighbor for a few years. I have a mini-goldendoodle Lucy. Together with Rocky, corey's dog, they formed a love triangle. Any time Lucy would see corey, she would howl like nobody's business. I think this was a testament to how much fun she had going out with corey and the other dogs. Rocky would try to get Lucy's attention, usually to little avail, because she was too focused on corey. The first few times corey and his crew took lucy out (to the presidio or other spots) she came back exhausted and evidence of hard core play time (dirty paws, long doodle coat). We've since moved away and we miss them very much! Superdog peeps are great, responsible, effective dog walkers and leave cute notes. Thought they provided terrific value and service.

My rottie Maizy and I LOVE Corey and Superdog. She's been going out with them since I adopted her three years ago and she always has a great time and is exhausted and happy when she comes home. Maizy loves to pout when I leave for work but she is always happy to see Corey and all her friends because she knows what an awesome time she's going to have.

Corey and Sarah have been walking my Maltipoo, Harley, 5 days a week for almost 5 months now. I love how flexible and accomodating they are with everything and they clearly love animals. Harley waits by the door every morning and ALWAYS goes crazy when they come to pick him up. He comes home very tired and happy. They are responsible and reliable, and are simply the best! Thank you very much for taking care of Harley!

Corey and his team have been walking Sherman since he was a puppy and I couldn't be happier. Even when i'm home Sherman will wait by the door for Corey and happily leave without a glance in my direction. And the best part is that when I come home from work Sherman is curled up in his bed, tired from him adventure.

Corey and the rest of the Superdog team are great....my dog agrees too :). The Team is very reliable and flexible. They respond to all requests/questions timely. I love the daily notes they leave informing me when my dog was picked up and dropped off, who he played with and where he went.
Most importantly, Corey and team show a great deal of compassion for my dog which makes me feel really good with their service. I feel very comfortable knowing that my dog is in their hands during the day. -

We LOVE, LOVE, LOVE Corey and his crew. We have technically been clients for 5 years but we moved to Marin so don't get to see Corey as much. We were driving our two dogs into the city 2-3 times a week when we first moved to Marin just so they could meet up with Corey, Susan and the hounds. Corey and Susan have always been very professional, prompt and very attentive and involved with our two hounds.
We are sad we can not see them anymore but hope to get the dogs back into the city soon for a visit here and there. We miss SuperDog, Corey, Susan and I know our hounds miss their friends.
Corey, you should start a second branch out in Southern Marin:) -

Corey and his staff are awesome! Owen is a rescue and has more energy than any dog I have ever owned. He started tearing up the house a bit and we decided he really needed more time to run out his aggression during the day. Since we started Super Dog he is exhausted when we get home! His recall skills, and manners, have improved! It's so nice to come home and get a note with the times they picked Owen up and dropped him off as well as a little summary about what he did (usually includes something about how much energy he has, ha ha). He gets so excited when they come in and get him that he ends up falling all over the place just to get to the door. They are very reliable and friendly and most of all Owen loves them!

SuperDog was one of the best things I ever did for my dog. It was such a releif to come home to a tired, dirty & happy dog and not to have to worry about cleaning up messes if I get stuck at work.
I have a small dog and was a little concerned at first about putting her in group dog walks, but it did her so much good! She became more relaxed around other dogs.
I'm not sure what Corey did with her, but I think it's a good sign that when she sees silver SUVs that look like his - she stands up on her hind legs!!! -
Review from Arica V.
Corey was referred to us by an old friend of mine. He came over to meet our puppy and had a great vibe. Corey was very good and Lulu was hanging on every word he said to her. We were very excited about Corey taking Lulu in group because he seemed to really know what he was doing. We told Corey that Lulu was a pitbull and asked if it would be a problem. He said that he didn't have any pitbulls in group but that it wouldn't be a problem. Our puppy was less than 4 months old so there was nothing to worry about. He was going to start the next day and I was going to meet him at noon to give him a key. The next day I am at work and at 11 am he texts me that he thought about it and won't be able to have Lulu in group. This is one hour before we are supposed to meet. It was incredibly unprofessional and judgmental without even doing a trial run. I couldn't believe that a dog walker who had agreed to take our dog would cancel one hour before. I had to leave work to go help my puppy go potty outside and it still irritates me to think about how ridiculous that was. Since then, we have found an incredible walker from SLP Doggy Day Care and hope no one goes through what we did with Corey.

Cory and Susan are totally cool. I've been using them to walk my two dogs for about a year. I try to meet up with them whenever I can. I don't blindly give my dogs to anyone. I observe them on a regular basis and I've never seen anything that would make me doubt their abilities, affection for dogs or diligence on watching them. The best judges are my dogs and they love them. Ironically the only bad review for them comes from someone that doesn't use or pay for their services. So how the hell would they know. They provide an excellent service.

I moved to San Francisco about a year ago and for the first 6 months I was working from home, so I handled all the daytime dog walks. During that time I ran into Corey at Crissy Field and a couple things really impressed me about him. 1) He remembered my name and my dogs name. Mind you, I only spoke with him once or twice; 2) My dog, who is extremely timid, was always relaxed and comfortable around Corey; 3) At the end of the dog walks, I spotted Corey showering the sand/dirt off of the dogs, so they were clean when he brought them home. These things are what prompted me to try out SuperDog. Now that I've been using SuperDog for almost a year, I have even more respect for their service. They always take my dog out for really long excursions, so he is always dead tired when I get home. They leave daily notes about their adventures. I recently moved from the Marina to Dolores Park and was pleased to discover that Corey's partner, Susan, covers that area of the city and my little guy continues to get the best care possible. Oh...and before I forget, their prices are reasonably priced.

I respect John S.'s opinion, but he is 100% wrong on this one. I first met Corey walking my dog in the Presidio, and from the start I noticed how good he was with MY dog- and we weren't even clients! About 6 months later Corey and Susan started walking my dog, and she (and we) have been happy clients ever since (2+ years). On off days I take my dog around the Presidio, and I've often run into Corey, Susan, et al- when they get there they take the dogs out immediately, take them out for at least an hour, and leave promptly after the dogs are loaded back up- I see this happen every single week. Moreover, they LOVE the dogs, and take care of them just like their owners(parents). I have also run into Corey on the street occasionally and he's always friendly, and if he has time he sticks around and hangs out for a bit. I have absolutely no reservations recommending Corey to anyone! (and I have- and all of them love superdog too!!)

Corey and Susan are the best. I have two very energetic boys and always trust that they will come home more than adequately exercised. I often run into them with their other clients' dogs as I am out walking my own. I'm always impressed at their ability to control their groups. And no, I've never seen them standing around the vans chatting. Nor have I seen them out with such big groups. John S., perhaps you saw some other walkers doing this? The Superdog service I've witnessed is always on the go, making sure the dogs are constantly moving. My boys love Corey and Susan! And after seeing them handle my more difficult adolescent, I would refer them to anyone seeking a reliable, experienced and trustworthy dog walking service.

My dog has been a client of Corey and the SuperDog team for three years and we couldn't be more pleased. SuperDog does such a great job. My vizsla needs lots of exercise and they always managed to tire him out on the long daily excursions. But he also needs lots of affection and personal attention and he gets that too. The biggest seal of approval is that whenever we run into Corey or Susan on the weekend, my dog is soooo excited to see them!
