Supercuts
1 review for Supercuts
i've got to give 5 stars to this place cause i've been going here for the past 13 yrs.
2 people in particular have never let me down: Maria and Christie.
so here's the deal... when i first went to this spot at age 15, it was because i had just gone to supercuts in chula vista (on broadway by the mall) and the lady there f'ed up my hair. i asked for a fade, squared. one side was rounded, the other was squared... and this seemed ok to her. being so young, i didn't bother to speak my mind. i left and decided to stop at this spot instead. maria saved me! this girl knows how to hook a fade up the right way... and proved it time and time again for over a decade of me going to her.
over the last couple of years, because of conflicting schedules, i haven't been able to return to maria as often. but the last time she had actually cut my hair, i sat in the chair next to a stylist named Christie. this is when i discovered another gem. i watched her listen to her customer's request and execute it with ease. so the next time i went back and maria wasn't available i asked for Christie. what i can say about her is that she is dead on when you tell her what you want. she's damn good at picturing it in her own mind and then making it happen.
between the two, i've gone thru so many haircuts - long, layered (yes, i said layered), short, shorter, faded, texturized. now that it's all shaved off, i rarely get to see either of them, but whenever i do it's because i'm referring someone to them. i've since passed the torch on to my 17 yr old nephew. guaranteed though, if (and when) i decide to grow my hair back out and it needs some styling, i'm coming to this spot and asking for maria or christie.
pros: it's always clean, has plenty of magazines, and accepts call-ins. if you have to wait, it's located in a shopping ctr with plenty to do.
cons: it doesn't accept call-ins on the weekends - unless you're me. :)
