Amazing, honest, hardworking folks. I liked working with these guys so much because unlike a lot of big companies, there was no hype, no bs, and no wasted time. They did very high quality work for a reasonable amount of $ and there is no middleman. From start to finish I worked with Yuri and Szlilard, who were very clear communicators, highly reliable and punctual to boot! I had interviewed six different companies and received six quotes. I'm very happy with our system;, erasing our carbon footprint and producing our own energy! Highly recommend!

Man oh man!! I just got my first full months statement from PG&E. We produced $68 more electricity last month than we used.
I knew we made a good decision installing solar and I expect we'd do well since our house has a great Southern exposure but to earn start out with a $68 credit the first month is just unreal.

I worked for 4 years with Szilard before he left to start his own solar business. On both a personal and professional level Szilard carries himself with integrity and honesty. For the prospective solar customer, I would recommend Super Solar as a responsible option. There are a lot of sloppy solar outfits right now- Super Solar has experience in the industry and it shows.

Super Solar installed our solar panel system last fall and we were incredibly happy with them. I interviewed a total of eight solar companies, and I felt that Super Solar were the most knowledgeable and helpfulcompany that I found. The owners do all the work themselves, instead of subcontracting, and they were on time, pleasant, and did a great job. I ended up organizing a small group bid with two other friends that wanted to go solar, and Super Solar provided the best price and service for all of us. They installed all three systems for us last fall, and we are thrilled to watch the meter run backwards.

These guys know their stuff very well! In our consultations w/ them, they explained all our options, installation, pricing options, and more. We're planning to work with them later this year. They are polite, friendly, and sincere in what they do.
Specialties
The two owners of Super Solar sell, design and build every job themselves. As a result, you have a licensed electrician, a licensed solar contractor and one of the first NABCEP certified PV Installers in the nation perform all the work. The two of us have built over 140 systems and been at it since 2001. I know of no other company that offers this level of involvement and expertise!

History
Established in 2007
Szilard, the owner, has been building solar electric systems since 2001.
Starting out as a "grunt" on projects he was just happy to be working outside and doing something good for the environment. Working for Sun Light and Power in Berkeley, he learned from the very best and oldest installers in the state.
In the meantime he built over 100 systems for small residential and large commercial projects. Over the years valuable knowledge was gained as to what systems work in the real world.
In 2004, Szilard was one of the first 150 people to gain NABCEP Certified PV Installer status in the USA. He also became licensed as an electrician and as a solar contractor.
Believe it or not 8 years of experience in solar practically makes you a veteran, becauses of the recent influx of people to the industry.
In 2007, Szilard partnered with his brother-in-law, Gyuri to start Super Solar. Super Solar has had 40 happy customers since then and continues to focus on local projects.
Meet the Business Owner: Szilard S.
Szilard has been working in solar since 2001. He started as an entry level installer at Sun Light and Power. Sun Light and Power is one of the very oldest installers in the state. As a result, Szilard learned from the pros - pros with real experience gained from 30 years in the real world of solar. Eventually Szilard was promoted to more and more responsibility, ultimately becoming a commercial installation foreman.
In 2007 Szilard went back to school and earned a B.S. degree in Business Management Economics. Living in Berkeley ,he knew plenty about what was wrong with the environment. He wanted the tools that can fix some of these problems. His passion is to integrate a healthy business sensibility with concern for and stewardship of the environment. He beleives these are not opposing goals.
Szilard became certified as one of the first 150 NABCEP PV Installers in the nation in 2004. Since then, he has also become licensed as a Solar Contractor and also as a licensed electrician.
