Super 8 was a decent place to stay at. It is a bit hard to drive to from the freeway, though. It has all the basic needs that I need from a clean hotel (shampoo, soaps, towels, Air Conditioning, in room coffee maker, beds, hair dryer, tv+cable, wireless internet connection, fridge, microwave, and phone). The breakfast (comes included with room fair 6:30-9:30 am) included orange/apple juices, muffins, fruit, coffee, and milk. The muffins and orange juice was enough to make my tummy happy. I live simply. ;D
Oh yeah, I was impressed they used soft water. I'm accustomed to hard water so it took a while for me to adjust using less soap and shampoo.
The rating is really 3.5 stars (rather than a 3 or a 4) for the beds. The beds were kind of old in my room--you can feel /hear the springs when you move. Another minor issue was the complimentary wireless internet connection constantly dropped me since I had only 1 bar from my room. Fortunately, I wasn't here to browse, just to sleep and relax. :)
Other than those two things, I was pretty content staying here.
Super 8 - a super shit hole? Check. When booking the mow tell, I thought I had upgraded from a one-star to a swanky two-star suite. Ahhh, but Travelocity royally screwed me. I guess we give up some of life's luxuries, like shower drains that actually work, when we enter hell.
Pricewise, you can't beat $62 for a weeknight stay. Super 8 provides you with all your basic survival needs. Shampoo, a bed, sheets, lights, a hair dryer and television. So if you're ever going to backpack through Chico, Super 8 is a surefire choice for you.
Was a decent place. Stayed there many times on the way from this place to that place. But now? Fuck these assholes. They're spamming me on my cell phone after I stayed there. SCREW THEM.
