I am not sure why this has 4 stars. For starters, we have yellow stains on our cealing. The wall paper is torn and pealing off the wall. The coffee service is very stingy. One coffee filter with grounds.. And they act like your asking to speak with the allmighty in order to get a second filter. The bed is almost 4 feet off the ground and is very uncomfortable. Lastly.. There was an orange band-aid over our doors peep hole. I know it is oroville.. And you shouldn't expect much but these are little details that management could pay attention to and make a world of difference. Sorry but I probably will not be returning.
I know you should not expect much from a room in Oroville, however, with a very nice casino right down the road, you would think motels and hotels would want to step up their game.
Clearly, the Sunset inn does not! -

I've stayed here 3 times and will NEVER go back! Each time was a disappointment but my boyfriend insisted on staying here (he seemed to like the price of only $49). The motel is very worn and dilapidated, the outlets are loose or hanging or not even 3 prong. The ceramic tiles are broken. OK here is my horror story, this last time I came here to stay I couldn't wait to use the toilet after a long drive. As I was getting ready to sit down I noticed human feces on the seat of the toilet! And then I noticed the shower had not been cleaned and had used soap inside it. Obviously we threw a fit and ended up leaving. The housekeep came into the room asking what the problem was (she was typical Orovillian crank user) and she proceeded to remove the used soap from the shower. Then later as we were about to leave I remembered I had forgetten in item inside the room so I went back to get it and saw the manager lady inside the room making quick cleanup so she could rent the room to the next fools! She cleaned off the mess on the toilet with tissue paper and NO disinfectent! OMG I could not believe it! DO NOT STAY HERE!!!
