I believe the course is closed and converted to soccer fields now. I played Sunset many, many, times while living in Big D. Course was rough, unirrigated, and had some questionable clientel at times. But all in all it had some good bones in its design and was cheap all day golf. My high moment here was an almost hole in one on #4 one windy spring day. How it did not drop in hanging on the edge I'll never know. Here's to the Double Eagles, Billy walking 63 holes here one 108* summer day and and good ole Sunset. Last played Sept 2016. No frills golf at its best for $12 bucks. Goodbye!

Is this business closed? I've driven by a couple times and it appears to be shutdown.

My husband and I tried the course because of a special he found on golf now. Save your money. The course was pretty unplayable and miserable. In fact, it was so bad that we didn't even play the last 9 holes. Actually, you should know that it is only a 9 hole course and you play it twice to make 18. Everything was dead and they had recently aerated and left dry dirt clumps surrounding the greens.

I give this place half a star, although that is not an option. Having used the living social voucher, we went to try the course. The signage outside says "public welcome". That is not the case, we were talked down to for not knowing that we had to buy the balls and tees. The course manager made a racist remark as he was laughing with the other employees about giving us the colored golf balls as I am an African American. I should have known that was the start of the bad experience. My Latina friend and I were followed all around the course by the manager while trying to play. Without giving regard , this was our first time playing he should consider changing the sign outside ""welcome to the public " as we were made to feel inferior for not knowing the setup of the golf course . He made us come back while we were setting up to tell us that ""this isn't a good fit", basically asking us to leave. We were not being disruptive or causing any harm. At this point we wanted to use our voucher and leave quickly. I understand this a golf course for regular players but if we are not ,we should not have to be subjected to racist remarks and the constant belittling for not knowing . All would have been ok and understandable if we would have been talked to like normal human beings. For those who golf regularly , Know that the course is small , theres an abandoned school bus by the trails, along with tractors , overall trashy and a horrible smell.

Don't make a trip here. Had my truck broken into. And I was witness to a break in a year ago here. I have been playing this course for 20 years and it saddens me that I won't be coming back. Too dangerous now. The security camera is outdated. No hope of a license plate or even a good discription of suspect. Golfers beware!
