OMG!!! I have found my Go-To Massage Center!
I am a massage connoisseur and have been to just about every spa in the DMV area from expensive Day Spas to Massage parlors within Nail Salons and I think I have finally found my niche!
I found Sunrise through my Go-To coupon site for anything beauty related, Trubates; and saw Sunrise had a special for couples massages $99 for my choice one-hour massage for 2. I instantly booked it, because that's a hell of a deal.
We went on Saturday and were immediately greeted by this beautiful, energetic receptionist who seemed to be anticipating my arrival; which I really liked. Her Customer Service is Fantastic!
We were taken up stairs and soon met with the massage therapists, I met with Lilly and quite simply received the best massage I've had to date (thats a big deal; I've gotten ALOT of massages lol). It was a Thai-combo massage and she worked every muscle down to the toes. I have terrible back issues and she immediately noticed that, and catered her massage to my needs.
Long story short, this is a great place for people who get massages regularly. I even received a discount coupon for my next massage visit for half off. Please believe I've already booked it! LOL. -

After a terrible experience at Michelle's in Alexandria, I came here for a Brazilian wax. It was amazing. Sue, from what I hear, is the best--I got her daughter, and was VERY satisfied!
They use the sugar technique instead of hot wax. The process wasn't painful, and she was VERY gentle. There was minimal irritation afterwards and it was fairly quickly done. She was extremely thorough--that girl does not leave a hair untouched. She also gave me advice for my next visit, which I very much appreciated.
The best part? It was only $50! I was looking for a yelp deal or something, but I don't need one! I'm used to paying $80-$100 for a brazilian, so after such a great experience I was ecstatic to learn it was at half the price I'm used to.
I'm an extremely satisfied customer, and will continue to drive all the way to Annandale every time. Thanks Sunrise! -

I went to the Sunrise Wellness Center for a massage, based on a referral from a friend. The service there was just great; a cheerful friendly staff greeted me and made me feel welcome.
The guy who gave me my massage was named James, and he was awesome, he asked me beforehand what kind of treatment I wanted and what parts of my body were tense, and then gave me a great massage, focusing on the areas I told him about, and somehow found other areas that were tense and relieved the pressure there too. During the massage when I asked about the massage itself, where I was tense, etc, he answered my questions honestly and concisely, not a condescending manner like you get with some other therapists.
I highly recommend the Sunrise Wellness Center, and James! -

My wife and I had a great experience at Sunrise Wellness Center. Our massage therapists during our couples' massage were incredibly friendly and knowledgeable.
We live in MD but got a deal we couldn't pass up for a couples message. It was well worth the drive!!!
We highly recommend the Thai massage and will definitely patronize this facility again. -

To Sarah W. who responded to my review - i did voice my dissatisfaction with whole experience to Jessie (male therapist), as well as the female one and the receptionist before I left. This was the most unacceptable experience i've ever had and you cannot bring up my mother because the review is for my massage, not hers. But since you asked, she mentioned unclean feeling of the sheets, bad massage table, too much noise outside and horrible (old) smelling oil that was used on her. But she did enjoy her massage.

Sue was great. I'm new to the Brazilian wax and sue really helped reassure me. Yes, it hurt, but it wasn't nearly as bad as I had imagined ( and I'm a wimp!). I found her professional and thorough. She gave me two things to help take care of my skin. She also uses sugar instead of wax.

First time getting a brazilian wax and I was dead scared...but Sue is AMAZING at what she does. She's very knowledgeable and knows her craft well. She used an amazing technique (I guess it's called sugaring) and YES it hurt like a B****H especially when she did the "sides" but the pain dissipated right after. She also did my eyebrows and I LOVE how she shaped them. I will definitely be going back.

Awkward Turtle.
I take back everything nice I have said about anyone else. This place is THE place for me!
Sue was working in the Alexandria location Thursday but I needed an Annandale appointment, so she agreed to drive over there just to meet little 'ol me for an appointment! I feel special.
They have SO many services available! I also had Jennifer, whom I hear is new, and she gave an excellent massage! The employees have their craft done to the art of science. A few more visits and I may consider giving up Western Medicine as a whole. Ha, ha.
On with the funny: a very vocal woman was getting a Shiatsu massage and I must tell you, it was better than an episode of Family Guy. She's in ecstasy, no wait she's being murdered ...well, whatever it is she is paying for it so she must like it, right? I wish I could have recorded it!
I think I will try the deep shampoo with haircut and whatnot but I love love love head massages! ;) Too many little extras not to pass up!
The price is "moderate" but is actually less than other places I have been for the same services. Very important though, tip at least 20% because they are working very hard and cut corners on the price (freebies) where they can so let's show our appreciation. -

This is not based on my own experience but that of a friend. She got into town late and needed a quick appointment before heading off to her next destination. She's had waxing done many times before in a lot of different locales around the world so she's kind of a Brazilian waxing savant. that's what I'm calling her. I've decided.
Sue was really flexible on a super early appointment, sweet on the phone when we set things up and apparently a total hoot in person. Sweet, fast, efficient, and the most painless waxing my friend has ever experienced. They also threw in a neck and foot massage while she was getting the waxing done. To help get done quicker (she was getting a whole wax-athon done) Sue brought in another lady to help who was just as quick, friendly, and experienced with pain free waxing.
Sue is sometimes at the Annandale location, sometimes at Unicorn Hair in Alexandria, but offers the same services at both. The next time you need waxing services we definitely recommend giving them a call. My friend was totally impressed and wanted to stress that I have to recommend Sue to everyone I know looking for waxing. So Yelp I shall! -

Agreed Sue does fast, quick waxing services. 30 minutes tops and that means you can have a bikini, brazilian.
You have to make an appointment and it costs around 50.00. -

I've been seeing Sue for 7 years. I love this woman, and I've never actually had anyone else do my Brazilian so I may not be able to compare.... that having been said she's quick, efficient, somehow knows how to work within the pain threshold, uses all natural products, and frequently throws in freebies to show her appreciation of my loyalty, such Dermalogica product samples and eyebrow shaping (which she is THE BEST at.) She's honest, witty, and will surprise you with moments of hilarity. Over the years she's been one of the most dependable & consistent people in my life. She's great at what she does, won't overcharge you, and she gives a sh** about her clients.
