My husband and I stayed here for about 7 months, in 2021. We were parked in a nice shady spot for the time and we had good neighbors. Downside was, we had to trim back the pine trees ourselves in order to use our awnings, plus sap and pine needles everywhere, and definitely pine cones attacking our trailer at all hours of the day/night.
The sites are all "30amps" and I air quote that because you share a 100amp box with three of your neighbors, math shows that's a max of 25amps if you're all using things at the same time, and the breakers blew A LOT. A neighbor was an electrician who explained the main breaker blows at 80%, which truly means they're are times we truly only have 20amp sites. So... false advertisement. Our whole row would get shut down at least twice a month, more in the summer, and we would have to call to get someone to fix it if we didn't want to walk to the main breaker down the way, to flip it ourselves.
The lake is beautiful, but gets pretty low during the summer months. It also has a lot of lily pads which can be a real struggle and are most predominant in the mud-late summer and early winter. We liked to paddle board on the water but at the same time I never wanted to swim in it because it has a lot of plant life under the surface that looks close and like you could easily be tangled in it. Life vests are required per state law, and cops to have a boat right on the RV park property. We did see them from time to time. Also, the lake gets busy with motor boats when the weather is nice and on holidays.
The office staff was mostly nice but truly, we felt they were helpless. They always had to call someone to ask our questions. There was only one land lady at the time and she worked her booty off to keep that place looking nice. They seem to have a lot of rules, but I never really felt they were sticklers. Some of their buildings were shut down because of COVID, like their clubhouse. We hated that we couldn't use a wood fire at our campsite and had to go to community rings. If you want to burn at your site, it has to be gas.
Visually the park is one of the more appealing ones we've been in but the services are poor, with no real additional amenities aside from a swing set for the kids and the lake. You have access to bathrooms, showers, and laundry. It does feel safe. It was close to Maple Valley and Black Diamond but also felt out of town. Seattle was about 40 minutes. Tacoma about 30.
The park overall could use some updates like electric and road work, as the roads in the park are real rough. Some trees needed branches cut to not interfere with trailers. Some of the docs could use work, one was blocked off because of the hazards. Things like that. We would maybe stay again if we needed to for work, even with the complications I listed above.

I called this place today with a request. Here's the exchange.
Phone rings and is picked up, not a hello, nothing. 15/20 seconds pass. I'm just about to hang up and call back thinking something is wrong.

An obviously elderly lady sharply says "is there anybody on this line?" Her tone instantly was offputting, but hey, maybe someone had been prancing her earlier. Never know what someone's going through right?

I explain I live nearby, and I need some work done on my boat trailer. Can I pay you to moor the boat for a couple hours.

      Her: "NO!"

Again I'm taken back. Wow. Ok. But hey if that's their policy I get it. It was just the tone.

Me: "Ok. How about if I pay for a campsite for the night?"

Her: " You would have to pay for a site and moorage!" (Tone again. Like I'm annoying her entire existence)

Me: "Ok that's fine. We wouldn't actually be staying. Just tying the boat off for maybe 3 hours."

Her: "You can't leave your site. The fire dept won't allow that. "

Me: "I'm confused. Don't people camp there and leave to do other things?@

Click! She hangs up on me.

I look at the phone. I never had an attitude or raised my voice. Ok. Maybe we just got disconnected? I call back.

Same thing. Ring. Picked up. No hello.

      Me:" hello!?"

Her : "Is there someone on this line?"

Me: " I'm not sure what happened. Maybe we got disconnected?"

Her: (in the WORST tone) "I don't know who I'm talking too!"

At this point I'm done. I can assure you she doesn't get many phone calls in a day. I had called back within 30 seconds. I fully admit I lost my temper. I've just had it with rude people lately.

Me: " Forget it. You are the rudest B%^*h I've ever talked to in my life. F6%k YOU!"

Why? I'm trying to pay you for nothing really. There was zero reason for the attitude or hanging up on me. She truly sounds like either she thinks she's entitled in life, or she's just a crotchety old bat who hates her life. Either way, they can go to hell.

Don't trust them I made reservations on a Friday for 1 week later and had to cancel.
I called ,send 5 emails asking for confirmation and have received nothing from them. I did talk to a person on Sunday and she said we will take care of it. Still nothing, all I asked was for them to confirm that charges would be credited but not yet. Thought this would be a great weekend away but will never use any Sunrise resort and will spread this review.

Update since I added this review they have corrected the situation. Thank you for your quick response. And if the chance comes up I will try again.

We were hesitant from all these one star reviews... true, the spaces are packed tightly but for us that wasn't an issue. Seemed to be a little more room in the area with the trees.

Perhaps a longer stay wouldn't be great as the site was not a full hookup, only water and electric - the dump station is on-site but you'd have to wheel your tank over or drive over.

The thing that got us was the bathroom cleaning hours, 9-10am... we woke up at 9:30 and waited til around 10:15 for the cleaner to finish. Suppose we could have used our own, but not worth it just for one use.

The rain kept us inside all night, but the morning cleared and we had our morning cup down by the lake with the ducks. The lady in the office was friendly and helpful. The drive into town takes 5 minutes. It was a fine spot to stop for the night.

Just use AirBNB instead of this place.

      Cabin complaints
False advertising: the pictures online didn't show what we are getting
Overpriced, especially compared to a hotel room of similar cost
Asthma inducing mildew, mold, and farts -- plus a lot of sneezing
Coffee maker leaked 4 cups of coffee
TV is broken (it was replaced after talking to them)
      Dirty floors
Charge for a fifth person for apparently no reason
Bugs and cobwebs are a nice touch
Broken blinds and some windows don't have screens
Closet that just smells like the 1950's
The pillows are more like folded towels
They display, "support our troops," but offer no Military discount, even after our poor experience. Hypocrites.

Update: Years later, I get notifications about this review. I still remember how much it straight up sucked. I hope the got their stuff together, and that it's better than what it was. If they've done nothing to change and actually be a place people should even remotely consider as an option, you should vote with your wallet.

Just moved from Hawai'i to Washington in July 1st 2019. We only had my boyfriends RV to get started and get on our feet. Hight of the RV season and no availability any where. I made one call to Jessica in the office. She was an absolute angel ! They had just one spot open. Slowly Over time, we able to make this very beautiful place work out to be a full time RV living and life style for us. We even bought a new 5th wheel. Really Great folks, lots of new friends, and a really safe place to get started on a new life adventure. We love the lake for all our activities. All great shopping is just around the corner.

The main reason I'm leaving this review is that I want to warn people that the owner has a huge Trump 2020 flag up by the water, so this may not be a safe place for all. If we had known this we absolutely would not have come and given them our money, but unfortunately we had no other option. The first spot we tried to set up in was not level, and the staff were pretty condescending to my mom and reluctant to let us move to another available spot. The spots are extremely crowded, maybe a few feet between RVs. They wouldn't refund us the difference in the two spots (the spot we ended up in had no sewer hook up). When we were leaving we tried to dump the tank, the spot to dump was completely full and we had to drive to Tacoma to dump. The park is not well lit at night and it was pretty difficult to find in the dark. Would not return. There are also massive tree roots in the exit lane. Beware!

Horrible camp site. Charged almost $60 a night for a 30 amp site with no septic. Don't trust a word they tell you! When we made our reservation they told us we would have a full hookup site (30amp, water, septic, and WiFi) but once we arrived she told us we were too big for the site saying we were lying and that our rig was at least 42 ' which it isn't. It's 40' stated on the title and paperwork. Anyway very rude and expected payment in full upon reservation so can't get our money back once we arrived. I've asked for a receipt multiple times and haven't gotten one yet. DON'T STAY HERE!!

This the absolute worst Rv park we have ever been in. The 30amp breaker trips everytime we turned on the ac. In turn the it blew our gfci on one side. They have taken put all of cable connections. We were told they don't have full hookups , but on the park map shows one section that does and I believe that is for members only. We are RPI. This is a very very old park and we will never stay here again. We're going to Wenatchee tomorrow to the County River Park with full hookups and 50 amp!!! $30.00 per night and well worth the money!!!!
I will never recommend this park.
