When someone opened their car door into traffic without looking, my fender looked like it was involved in a cartoon accident, in that you could see identifiable marks of their car door. Luckily, their insurance accepted liability and Sunny Auto Body was one of their reccomendations. I was very pleased with the customer service and quality of work. The offered to fix my rearview mirror and when they couldn't, referred me to someone who would do it for free- of course, I lost the number, but either way- I was really happy they even tried to help. They also drove me to the rental car place across town when the one closest refused to answer their phones. For any future work I need done, I will definitely return!

I'm writing this on behalf of my dad.
Catalytic converter stolen in car A. FUC$*@#) hit and smashed into CAR B all within a matter of 3 days. My poor dad was so sad and heartbroken because Car B was his new car and barely had 1000 miles on it. Blame it on the idiot who wanted to bust an illegal U turn in the middle of South Van Ness Ave and ended up hitting my dad's parked car. He actually left the scene of the crime but because it's freaking ILLEGAL to do a hit and run (plus about 5 witness copied his license plate and called hte police) decided to come back and give his information.
Car was taken to Sunny Auto Body. Customer service was superb. He had the paperwork handy and answered all our questions. He tried to call several car rental places to get my dad a rental car (no ride), but they were closed. Sohe said he'd send someone tomorrow morning to pick my dad up to help him get his car. (plus to him)
My dad had taken the car to him in the past and was impressed with their workmanship and professionalism.
Note: husband also brought car to Sunny a LONG time ago to get some work done. Same good review.
Yeah for people like Sunny to help with our car woes.

Busted my hood. Went to Denny, provided them with a new hood and they installed my new hood. In and out in a jiffy. No labor charged.

I got my car back within two weeks and couldn't be happier. Crushed roof? FIXED. Auto door lock not working? FIXED. Passenger auto window not working too!? FIXED. The repaint on the roof matches flawlessly. Whenever I called, someone answered. These guys are PRO!

The riff-raff broke into my car by bending the door. Happy new year to you too! My insurance gave me an $800+ estimate for the damage and suggested several places to take it. I looked them all up on Yelp and Sunny Auto Body had the best reviews. I called and they said to drop by so they could check it out...saying it might be a quick and free fix. I didn't hold my breath.
My work hours keep me out of a convenient proximity to get it checked out but luckily they're open later than most places. Nonetheless, it was two weeks and plenty of rain getting into my car before I had the chance to stop by. I rolled in 7 minutes before close and asked them to take a look. The young, polite, and handsome man (whose name escapes me) checked it out and then asked me to pull it into the shop really quick so someone else could have a look.
Sunny himself opened the door, rolled down the window, seemingly wiggled his nose and not 20 seconds later slammed the door saying, "It's done!"
"No way!?"
"Yep, you're all set."
I offered to pay him *something* and he waved me away with a smile.
Fantastic. Polite, friendly, and reasonable. They could have easily charged me for an hour's labor and they didn't. It's like an auto place treated me like a human being. *twilight zone music*
I will definitely be back. Highest praises and many thanks.

Denny saw my note below and called me. I thought it was very professional of him, so i went back in and they thoroughly checked the noise, fixed my mirror and did something to the trunk key area. They did forget to change my the light bulb in my trunk and frankly, I am sick of going back so will live with it.

No one from Sunny's has called me to tell me the mirror part I have been waiting for, for a month is in. Also, my trunk no only closes sometimes and I realized they did not replace the light bulb in my trunk - which died due to the accident. I am not happy with their lack of follow up and non-job completion.

I was in a car accident (not my fault - some CityCarShare jackass ran a stop sign with no lights on and creamed me). My poor, fully owned (NO payments!) '04 Corolla was in shambles.
My shitty Farmers Insurance (review to follow soon) has this place recommended. And I was very pleased!
The people are extremely nice - I dealt with Denny, and found him to be very friendly and informative. Never making my questions seem stupid. He went over all the work done and they stored my car for no extra fee while I was out of town and it was ready for pick up.
They do a nice job of washing your car too when you pick it up! Lastly, I noticed my mirror was not working with its electric adjuster thingy - They apologized and said I could come in whenever for that quick fix.
Great service! Highly recommend!

Have taken our car there multiple times, from a tiny scratch to larger body work - no complaints and excellent customer service.
Open early and late, and on Saturdays, just what a girl needs when she lives in the easy bay, and works from 7am to 5pm everyday. They are friendly and easy to deal with. They drove me to pick up my rental and drop it off.
Only thing they didn't do was call me to let me know how long it was going to be when they went past their first date. But once I called, they called me everyday to give me an update.

This place rocks. My friend mysteriously shut my passenger side door and it got stuck to never open again. I stumbled upon Sonny's and was not disappointed. I waited for them to dig into the door to understand the issue (I guess the root cause of the jam was quite unusual). They offered to order the part and install it free of charge, costing me only $25. When the part came, it required more labor then they originally thought, but kept my payment at their original quote of labor only- AMAZING for any auto body shop. If my car ever needs body work again, I will be sure to visit Sonny's again.

I can't recommend this place highly enough. A few months ago, after my car was smashed into by a bleary-eyed parolee with a reckless disregard for traffic signals, the AAA tow truck driver suggested he take my car here. He assured me that we could leave the car in their driveway and drop the key in the mailbox, and that they'd pick it all up and take care of it in the morning. Sounded a bit like the start of a devious chop-shop scheme to me, but at 12:30 am and with only three wheels still attached to my car, I was in no mood to protest. Surprisingly, they called me promptly the next day, told me they'd have it all fixed in two weeks, and would handle the insurance billing. My car was fixed beautifully, painlessly, and it was returned as clean as it's been since I bought it.
After I brought my car home, however, I discovered the battery seemed to have died--the car wouldn't start without a jump. I called Denny, who informed me that sometimes car batteries die during the repair process, and offered to give me a new one FREE if I came back in. I've had no problem since.
I also just went back in recently to ask about fixing a dent in the bumper, and was told cheerfully that they could fix it in a Saturday afternoon. How much, I asked? On the house! I realize my insurance company sent them thousands and thousands of dollars just months ago, but I still feel compelled to send some business their way. This is one of those truly great businesses that deserves all the customers they can handle.

As anyone know when you get in any type of car accident regardless if you are at fault or the other pary's fault. It is a very fustrating and stressful time for anyone. Lots of time has to be spent of the phone and filling out paper work just to process a claim on top of our busy lifestyles. To be rest assured the last thing that anyone wants to do is to shop around for an honest trusworthy and reliable body shop. Trusts me Ive been there before and everybody always has a reason for why they think they are the best.
After comparing and calling around all over the San Francisco area for the best body shop, I decided to go with Sunny's Auto Body on Potrero in San Francisco. They are open everyday and open pretty late today compared to all the other body shops that I have checked. They use state of the art equipment technology in order to ensure proper OEM fitting, parts, and paint regardless of the year, make and model of your vehicle. Price is important but more importantly value is, when it comes to repairing the car that you drive. Over the last 2 years and a half I have brought 3 of my vehicles to them for repair and I have also referred everybody that I know to the shop. They are family owned and operated and you definetly get that family service feel when your in there. Ask for DENNY and he will certainly listen and take good care of you. Do yourself a favor and go to SUNNY'S AUTO BODY, I am sure that there are lots of challenges when processing a claim, but rest assured that you have a good team on your side to help you through it all.
If you're looking for a little sunshine in your life (especially after some idiot just crashed into your nice ride) see the guys over at Sunny Auto Body!!! I have used these guys on a number of different autos over the years and have referred them to many a friend - and all I've ever received in return is a huge "Thank You" and rave reviews for turning my friends and loved ones on to Sunny Auto Body. I was referred by a friend to this place & I'm so happy I came here. My passenger side window got broken into and they were able to order the part and install it the next day. Took less than 1 hour. It cost me $60 total for my Corolla. So much cheaper than other places which have quoted $100+.
Unfortunately, my car window got broken into another 2x. Really pissed me off. Each time, I went to Sunny Auto & they were able to replace my window quickly. They were really nice about it too. Got a discount too since they felt bad that it happened to me so many times!!
Anywhoo, I would recommend to get your broken windows replaced here if you ever need it.

Denny and his crew are great. They made the whole process of getting my truck fixed after an accident smooth and easy. I dropped off the car without an appointment and a couple weeks later they called me to tell me it was ready (the damage was fairly extensive). I had requested a special bumper to replace the original one and they did tons of research to find a match once it was found that the company who makes the bumper is no longer in business. My car was returned in beautiful condition - steam cleaned, buffed - gorgeous!
They were very thorough with the repairs and gave a 'for the life of the car' guarantee on their work.
Took my 73' Datson 240z into Sunny Auto body. At first sight there were a bunch of newer cars, so hesitation started sinking in... (its much easier to work on new cars) but then I spoke with Sunny & Denny and the tone in their voice left me assured. So I left the car with them and handed over the keys, few days later they call and asked me to come down and pick a color (I was like already? wow) low and behold once I arrived the car has been stripped and was ready to get taken care of (I have never seen Sunny and his crew doing nothing they are ALWAYS doing something! get business done) thought I could go in and pick a color but I was sooo wrong... fault being mines, just couldn't decide on what color to paint so, Sunny told me to just take the color code book home and when ive decided just give them a call. To make a Looooong story short the work they have done to the car has exceeded my expectations by far and beyond! My car now looks show room quality and its all thanks to Sunny & his crew! If you ever need ANYTHING done give Sunny Auto Body a shot they will make the whole experience as easy as possible for you and at the same time not rip you off like so many other shops out there in the city! arrgh... In the end ive gotten more than just my toy painted ive made friends with people that are very capable and knowledgeable in their field. you get what you pay for and then some. THANKS GUYS!

I found these guys by driving past them the street one Saturday afternoon after my car was damaged from a break-in. They welcomed me in with no appointment, and were very flexible about keeping my car garaged during my 6 day vacation. In general, I don't know when I've ever had better service for my car. They gave nice discounts, dealt directly with the insurance company, returned my car washed and detailed, and offered a free ride to anywhere in the city. After the work, a final part was still on order. I returned with no notice on another Saturday after it arrived, and they installed it AND washed my car in under an hour.
Denny and crew are awesome. They hooked me up with great service -- worked with my schedule, great communication, on time, color match, etc.

They were great with my dog and Sunny made me laugh harder than I had all week. Thanks for the smiles and bumpers to a solid family business.
Denny and Johnny were very courteous during the repair of my WRX. They went the extra mile, including driving me to the train station after dropping my car off for repairs. (Thanks Johnny!). The blending of the old and the new paint was seamless. My car is back to new!
zero stars for this place if i could give it that.
had my car fixed there and the painted was chipping off my bumper in less than a year... and the side panel... shit ... looks like it was painted with a paint brush with the brush strokes clearly seen.... and the "clear coat".... what clear coat??!!!.. its probably so freaking clear that you cant see it ,, not even the reflection.
and they even took more money than they had quoted to me cause the insurance check was made out to me with more than what the insurance quoted. never never in my life am i going back or even referring anyone. shittttttttttttttt
