After a very bad experience at Ilori in the Westfield mall I ended up here. They didn't have the DG Butterfly glasses I wanted, but I did end up getting a pair of stunning Bvlgari sunglasses.
Great service, fun store. More like a nightclub with the dance music playing. Even offered me a bottle of water!
Highly recommended! I not only got a great new pair of glasses, but I had a great time as well.
I have been looking for a specific pair of sunglasses that Reese Witherspoon was wearing on the cover of a few magazines last month. Nobody could tell me what they were. I've been to a bajillion sunglass places and no one could tell me what they were.
Today I was at Union Square and noticed a Sunglass Hut, so I went in and asked if they had the glasses. The guy knew what I was talking about before I even took out the magazine shot! He disappeared into the back room and returned a few seconds later with a photo album full of celebrities in sunglasses. He flipped to Reese's pictures and said, "Reese only wears Mosley Tribes. She wears the Aviatrix and the Bourough". I tried them both and I ended up getting the Aviatrix... that look super duper fly on me.
The two people who were working today were great! They were full of energy and were more like a comedy duo who had everyone in stitches today. It was the most fun I've had shopping for anything in quite a while!
Brilliant !!!

Don't go anywhere else but here if you're planning on purchasing sunglasses anytime soon. The staff here, especially Daniel, are fab-ul-ous and super-helpful when it comes to selecting shades for you.
This Sunglass Hut has the best selection of sunglasses- whether its Versace, Maui Jims, Ray Bans, Ferrragamos, or Chanel. Speaking of which, they're one of the few SGH in the Bay Area to carry the Chanel line (Stonestown and Pleasanton's Stoneridge Mall are the others that come to mind), plus they actually have everything out in the open so you don't have to wait for the salespeople to come over and open up locked cases. I think that pretty much the only thing they have locked up is the limited edition Ray Ban aviators, but they're pricey, pricey, pricey so I can understand why.
This SGH definitely gave me one of my best shopping experience to date- Daniel makes shopping for sunglasses super fun and you can't help but love him for the great job he does. I'd highly recommend this particular location- just don't be surprised if you end up with a hefty bill to go with those kick-ass shades you just bought!

sassy sassy sassy! OMG - Daniel (the store manager) is the best - and I really mean it! He's super helpful and honest, without sounding like a complete jerk! =) You can tell he LOVES his job and has a real passion for it...and he's always so full of energy so he's fun to be around!
The selection of Chanel frames are amazing! There are so many to choose from, and thanks to Daniel, he'll help you find the perfect pair. He'll be glad to assist you with ANY pair of frames you wanna try on, so don't be shy! Lots of other designer frames are also available so go with an open mind and you'll be sure to walk out with a pair or two of hot frames and another $1K of credit card debt...haha
Summer is just around the corner so if you're in need of a fresh new pair of stylin' frames, stop by here and you won't regret it! And as Daniel says, a girl can never have too many sunglasses, so it's ok to have several pairs of Chanels, Versaces, Pradas, Fendis, .... ladies, you get the point. =)

Great store. Helpful staff. I work very close to this location so I'm in here a few times a month checking out new styles. I'm always able to find something at this store.
Don't mess with their Security Guard though, I had the delightful experience of watching him throw a shoplifter out on their ass (literally) yesterday - which was very funny.

Great store. Great guys who aren't afraid to tell you that you look like a fool. When I first went in, I was kind of weirded out by the immediate offer of assistance and decided to try for myself - I mean it's just sunglasses right? WRONG!
I tried a few on and glanced over at the two guys and both of their eyes looked like a deer caught in headlights. One of them came over and said, "Let's just put these back" and basically took my hand as if to say, "There there now - it's ok that you can't pick out a pair of sunglasses to save your life".
Needless to say he was much better at it than I was and I walked out of here with two of the hottest pair of sunglasses I've ever had.
In the words of the guy who works here, "Work it. Work it. Own it."
This place rocks and I had such a good time that I did not hear the deafening sucking sound coming from my credit card as the register rang up over $600.00 in a matter of seconds. whoosh! gone!
But dammit, I look fierce!

Helpful, sassy, not pushy staff, and a huge selection of really expensive sunglasses. I could have easily walked out with three pairs of posh spice glasses for the price of a nice used car. Thank god we were there for the green-eyed boy and not myself. I have to say I was pretty thrilled when he lost his old sunglasses a few months ago, and I requested to be invited to his next shopping excursion to help choose a replacement pair.
Being begrudging once-a year shoppers, we hit SGH knowing that we would definitely be able to find something. From sporty to club kid to preppy, they have everything, and organized in a way that makes it easy to browse. While I hate seeing those green eyes covered, we agreed on a pair of polarized Maui Jims that will take him from work-a-day to Miami vacation to hiking. Warning: they should have insurance on these suckers--you won't be walking out of here for under $200.

This is the BEST Sunglass Hut location. The staff, David and David, were very honest and not pushy. They must have spent over 30 minutes, hell who's counting, suggesting sunglasses to my friend and myself. Then
another good 15 minutes in just making sure that my purchase fit right.
I don't know of any other store that did that alone. Hell, they even offered us bottle water when we shopped.
The decor of the store is way better than the one on Emeryville, sorry to my hometown. But this is one store that I will be back to.

Wow! This is one of the coolest looking Sunglass Hut stores I have ever seen - or any sunglass place for that matter. The staff is very friendly and energetic. I went to a few different Sunglass places today looking for a Christmas gift and ended up purchasing from this store. There was a guy and a girl working there today and they really seemed excited to see me. I was the only customer in the store since it was raining and they showered me with attention and helped me find a great pair.
I highly recommend this location. A+++++

I promised the guys working there today (forgot their names.. oops) that I'd post on yelp so here's my review.
I stopped by because I noticed in the window a 20-30% off promo sign for all yelp members (as I later found out, it's thanks to all the others who posted before me that SGH had that discount going on). Of course, I knew SGH NEVER has discounts, so I had to go in.
Anyway, the guys were really helpful in helping me choose out a pair of glasses. I have the hardest time choosing because I'm pretty indecisive.. so they helped me try on a million different ones before we finally settled on one. These guys were great because they weren't afraid to tell me if something worked with my face or not, and they were willing to go through all these different shades to make sure we found the perfect pair. They even offered drinks, which was cool.
Soooo to sum it up ---- great people working here who can help you find the perfect shades!

Lee, the manager, is great. Out of ALL the glasses in there, the first pair he picked ended up being the best (fit, etc.). He is good. Very fair and a great shopping experience. Gonna wear my new shades at night...

Are you in the market for a new pair of shades? I was for almost a month after my pair was lost, then found, then broken.
But I get overwhelmed way too easy when it comes to shopping for shades and have been squinting in the sun for the past 5 weeks while I search for the perfect replacement. And in all the places I've been shopping for the past month, not one sales person had the patience or motivation to help.
So I don't know if the stars were aligned today, but at this particular Sunglass Hut, I was in and out in 15 minutes with the most fabulous pair of shades. Not just fabulous, but perfect for my face & style!
How did this happen? I owe it to the talented, nearly psychic salesperson. I'm not sure it's OK to put someone's name on here--I didn' t ask her if it was OK. But this particular salesperson took one look, said, "I know..." and walks back with the perfect sunglasses. I tried to try on my usual trillion pairs just to "be sure," but after 4 pairs, nothing looked as good as her first choice. And her first choice was 1/2 the price of the others.
Again, maybe the stars were aligned just right. Maybe someone else won't have the same experience. But I couldn't help but wonder how she did it (she had no idea how bad my indecision is when it comes to sunglasses.) When asked, she said, "I don't know--I don't follow the typical rules of face shape & stuff. I just get a feeling and go with it. "
If you're in the market for a pair of sunglasses, and are anywhere near as indecisive and picky as me, go to the Union Sq. Sunglass Hut and hopefully you'll catch the same salesperson I had.
