I loved these apartments in the beginning... but once you move out it is almost impossible to get a hold of anyone. I was supposed to get my security deposit back and I moved out 4 months ago and I still do not have it. I've called at least 15 times to get it figured out and I get the run around every time. My lease was only 6 months, why is it taking almost 4 months to get my security deposit back?

The apartment itself was no where near what the model looked like. Everything was outdated and I had a lot of problems moving in. (Needed new water heater, broken sink, needed new paint, etc) I was in the 2x2 on the top floor. It was pretty quiet for the most part which was the only good thing about this place.

I recently moved into these apartments and just had to talk about them. Most people will come to yelp solely to complain, however, I like to praise the places that deserve it. This place is actually really great. The leasing staff is really helpful (especially Riana who I have been bugging since day 1). They're always really friendly when I walk in, even if they seem to be having a tough crowd waiting on them. The staff here is just absolutely great.

Also, I'm going to add that Mark who is also apart of the leasing staff is awesome! If you have any concerns or questions definitely ask him. He's understanding, patient, and overall just a super friendly guy. I can't tell you how much I really enjoyed this place.

Next, the property is managed and taken care of quite well. The landscaping is always on par, it's always clean and the maintenance gets the job done quick. My neighbors and most everyone that I've come across in the complex is mostly family oriented or college students, however, there aren't any issues with anyone. Everyone and their pups seem to be really friendly. Also, the tenants residing here take care of their animals and there aren't really any that run around unleashed, and even if they do, they're friendly. The tenants also do an amazing job picking up after their pups which is always nice.

The apartment I live in is clean, renovated, and everything works! There isn't really too much more I could ask for from an apartment complex. It's a safe area and I'm a female living alone. I've seen the security around a few times, however, I don't think there are any real issues with theft or any of that sort as mentioned in a few previous posts. The apartment complex is also in a great area and it's close to so many grocery stores/Walmart/food places.

PLEASE READ IF YOU ARE CONSIDERING LIVING HERE

My boyfriend and I moved in December of 2017. They moved us in to a horribly roach infested apartment. One time I shut a kitchen cabinet and a roach fell on my face. Needless to say I screamed bloody murder and I am legitimately surprised the neighbors didn't call the cops thinking I was actually getting murdered... I even woke up with a roach in my hand. My boyfriend and I literally complained about the roaches within 30 minutes of us getting the keys. Not only were there live ones but there were dead ones EVERYWHERE. The staff apologized and had maintenance come and vacuum the dead roaches and scheduled a bug guy to come. They eventually moved us to a new apartment 2 months later and that became roach infested 5 months later. Mark (manager) said it was due to our down stairs neighbors.

This is important info about move out if you already live here or are planning on living here. I scheduled a move out walk through and I encourage every single person renting to do the same. The "head maintenance" man comes over takes one look around and said "um did you even clean this place?" And boy oh boy did that strike a nerve. We cleaned for a couple days. The only things that I admit weren't up to par was that the living room needed more vacuuming (my vacuum gave out. But that thing did it's best and I am proud of it), some walls needed more scrubbing down and the inside oven needed to be cleaned as well. I just completely forgot about the oven.

But let me give you all a play by play on what happened. This "head maintenance" guy walked into the kitchen and without opening anything says "your oven and fridge are filthy. Yup you're going to be charged a LOT for this. Yup this won't be cheap." HE DIDNT EVEN LOOK IN THE OVEN OR FRIDGE. The top of the oven was spotless, we even replaced the oven pan things. The fridge and freezer were spotless too. Please tell me how he can see inside the fridge and the oven if he doesn't have X-ray vision? And if he does have X-ray vision then that's super awkward. He then sees the roach spray and diatomaceous earth on the counter and says "oh you have roaches? Yup you're going to be charged for that too." Ohhh at this point I was like wtf. I gave the abridged roach history of the place and said Mark and Myra are very aware. He was like "hmm well it will be up to them." Ok wasn't worried because they knew what was up.

Then "head maintenance" man walked into the bathroom and was like "oh this is bad. Did you even clean?" .... the bathroom was spotless. The only thing was the paint in the tub was chipping due to either cheap paint or normal wear and tear. I just ignored him because my folks taught me if I didn't have anything nice to say don't say anything at all. He went in the hallway and was like "you have any pets?" And I said yes one dog. HE PROCEEDS TO RIP UP THE CARPET IN EVERY ROOM and was like "yup this is bad. You're going to be charged so much for this. We have to replace the whole carpet. Yup you will be charged so much for it." He explains that the whole entire carpet in all the rooms are just saturated with urine and it's my fault because it wasn't like that. Mind you, our dog has had two accidents in one spot in which we have cleaned up promptly and even rented a bissell. Our dog wasn't even allowed in our bedroom and he said there was urine all over. It couldn't have been our dog and it DEFINITELY wasn't us as we have been potty trained for about 22 years each and yes we are proud to say we didn't have any potty training accidents while we were there. One spot he said had "extreme urine stains" was where we had our tv and tv stand the whole time. It would be pure talent if any of us could have peed under there. I had enough and explained that our dog only had two accidents in one spot in one room.

His response still tickles my pickle and just out right proves he is just a liar. He said he rips up the carpet before and after every one moves out so he knows the carpet wasn't like that. I had enough so I just ignored him. This concludes the walk through and he added one last "yeah you're going to be charged A LOT. I don't see how you're not." I then go to the office and speak with Myra and gave her the play by play on what happened. Her response (which proves he is a liar) is she apologized and said he did work there for a few years but quit before we moved into the new place and was re hired a while after we moved into the new place. So please tell me "Mr. Head Maintenance Man" how can you say that you inspected this carpet if YOU WEREN'T EVEN WORKING THERE AT THE TIME.

Thank you for reading this review and I hope everyone has a happy new year.

Please be aware that this is the only apartment that has a 60 day notice. Thank god they did not say that you have to give the notice at the time of moving in itself.
The $250 advance that you provide...forget about it.....you will be charged minimum of $400 which means you will be expected to pay $150 more after you move out. Even when you pay the $150 there will be a surcharge of $20 for which there is no explanation. Instead of running an apartment they could have run a mafia and ask for protection money which will be cheaper than this.
The apartment that i stayed was plagued with bed bugs and after repeated tickets they showed up but what ever they did was not helpful. I moved even before the lease is up, but after repeated attempt to let them know the situation i had to pay till the lease ended + 1 more month.
For gods sake stay away from this dump.!!!!

I am currently moving units, and I could not have gotten through this process without the help of Gabby in the front office. Every time I had a question (which was a lot) she would be there and answer it with a smile on her face and a helpful attitude! Thank you Gabby and front office staff for an amazing experience.

I currently live here and I have the 3bed and it is very nice and spacious I have no complaints about the apartment as far as the floor plan goes but let me tell you. I've tried to be patient on my repairs that are needed there was a master list of love in stuff that took 3 weeks because they lost there maintenance team and only had 1 person. Now they are full staffed and still the service is the same. I've asked multiple times to have a item repaired in my apartment and they for some reason act as if they don't know and never knew although it's clearly listed on the online maintenance request. The staff are nice but act clueless and just apologize over and over. I keep trying to look past all this because I do enjoy the apartment a lot and the community and amenities but Jeeez they need to get it together. Hopefully this review changes as I continue to stay here.

I've only been here a month so far, but this place has been great for me. Every unit gets a covered parking spot, they just put in new washer and dryer a couple weeks ago, service requests are promptly dealt with and the staff has been very polite and responsive.
It's also rather quiet, especially for being right off a main road. I've been in places where the neighbors have screaming kids, howling dogs, screaming adults, etc. Thankfully I have none of that here. I also barely hear my neighbors through the walls. Usually nothing more than their door opening and closing or I can hear one of them if she is wearing high heels and walking around.

Welcome to apartment hell. Sure, the rent is a good price and hey, in the day light the place doesn't look half bad. The common areas are decorated fashionably, there is a cute little park and a Fresh and Easy within walking distance- but that is about all that is good about this place. While living here we had to deal with neighbor's garbage sitting on the landing (sometimes blocking our door) for days- until my boyfriend took it out himself. The down stairs neighbors were always blasting music, screaming and yelling at each other or running power tools inside their apartment. The staff often refused to work with us, they wouldn't do anything about the angry noisy neighbors, until my bf finally had to call the police because the screaming got so scary.

They day my bf turned in the keys, someone shot his girlfriend and neighbor in the parking lot.

If you are considering moving here, try somewhere else.

(This place was called Suncadia while I was there, but the address is 505 W. Baseline so the name may have changed. )

Been here almost a year now and haven't had issues to write home about. The new management that came in a few month ago has been amazing and I now feel comfortable with submitting a work order and trusting the new team to help me with all my concerns. Whenever I have had a work order placed, they are very prompt and take care of the service needed with high quality. The new management has made it a more professional and comfortable experience for me, and I am very appreciative of their hard work and dedication to make 505 West a better place to live for current residents as well as everyone in the future. Thank you!
