I work in Harlem, which I'm sad to say, has very few healthy lunch options.  I'm SO glad that I found this place on http://Delivery.com, and that they deliver to 125th & ACP.

We've ordered three or four times, and the sushi is really fresh and delicious.  Someone got a chicken teriyaki bento box, and it was very generous.  Great find...we will be ordering from here regularly from now on!

Take it from a guy who's not a sushi pro, I get the basics, tuna/salmon rolls, California, etc. But I can still tell the difference between good and fresh seafood and bad. This place has some AWESOME salmon, GREAT flavor. 3 rolls for $10 on the lunch menu mon-sat. Good clear soup too, only setback is $15 min on credit/debit. I just moved to the UWS and this is going to be my go to spot, much better than that empire place on 100th and Broadway.

It's okay... I got the bento box for $20 and ordered teriyaki salmon and sashimi. The former - very tasty. The latter - not. The fish were not fresh and thus not as good. Oh well. Next!

Visited Suma as a NYC visitor with family based on Yelp Reviews. It totally lived up to my expectations.

This place was quiet and quaint. Service was normal, not fantastic, not bad. It was much smaller than I expected but then again, I am not used to NYC sized restaurants. It had about 6 tables in it, and you can't sit at the sushi bar. It has a nice vibe though, and they played the most random music - from Britney Spears to Michael Jackson, to mid 90's R&B.

Although the Miso Soup was only OK and the Agedashi Tofu appetizer we had was definitely better at other Japanese Restaurants,  I think I will crave their Spicy Kamikaze Roll everyday until I visit again. It was perfection. I also have to mention that they are very generous with the avocado in all their rolls, and it is great quality so make sure to order a roll that has it. We had the California Roll and the Avocado Roll.  The Shrimp Tempura was delicious,  crunchy, salty, sweet and only $6.

I must mention that the Philadelphia Roll (Cream Cheese & Salmon) did not meet my expectations and I probably won't order it again. It is the first sushi house I've eaten in where they use actual Smoked Salmon (like a chunk of lox) instead of Sushi Grade Raw Salmon in the roll. It was weird and I didn't like it. I usually gobble up all 6 pieces of this on my own at other sushi restaurants, but here I was asking people to take it away.

We noticed a lunch special, from 11am-4pm that we would definitely go back for: 3 rolls and a Miso Soup for $10. Good for delivery.

And don't let the $$$ deter you if you're on a budget. You can eat comfortably for $12 a person. That would get you 2 Rolls and a Miso Soup. If I lived in the Upper West Side, this would definitely be my sushi place. Try the Kamikaze Roll, it is that good, probably the best roll on their menu.

My favorite part though: They are open until 11pm on Weekdays. So if you had a late night at work or are visiting like me and spent the whole day exploring this is perfect. We went in at 10:30 and the sushi was still fresh and delicious and the staff did not give us dirty looks.

We have never actually been to the restaurant but order delivery from here all the time. Great fish to rice ratio and their soy comes in little cups (instead of packets)-- certainly a bonus. The lunch specials are a good deal and they are on seamless web which eliminates the worries about your order being mistranslated.

Good for the neighborhood.

I haven't eaten inside the restaurant, just delivery only.  I've had some really really good sushi , and some OK average sushi from here.

i will say they are very friendly, and efficient.  you call, and like domino's they have your caller id and address after your first order on file.

up here there's limited options and i'm glad to have them.

Like most reviewers here I have never been to the restaurant. But boy, does this place hold a special spot in my sushi-addicted heart...

There's no where else in the UWS that you can order sushi delivery at 10:30pm on a Monday night and receive it as fresh as delicious as and as cheap as Suma Sushi. Also, apparently (according to Anthony Bourdain in his Kitchen Confidential book) ordering fish on a Monday is a fatal move to abuse your stomach with left-over-bottom-scrapings fish from the weekend....and yet Suma sushi has never failed to amaze me with their quickly, freshly, tasty prepared sushi (especially Kamikaze roll, and yellow tail with scallion roll....Yumm)

I've been looking for a good neighborhood sushi spot and this one is almost it.  Almost.  The prices are reasonable and the sushi is tasty, but I really can't stand their soy sauce.  I'm not sure what it is, but it is a little watery and has a weird flavor.  I've eaten both in and out of the restaurant and have no other complains.  I'll probably continue to get takeout but will use my own soy sauce at home!

Yay!!!

Really quality food that delivers in Harlem is one of my favorite things. Open until 11pm with relatively quick delivery (generally 45 min to my apt) which makes Suma extra special great!

My favorites - a bento box with 3 pc. sushi, california roll, choice of entree, shumai, salad (not iceberg! great gingery carroty dressing) and rice for $15. Lunch specials are good for delivery too. The Broadway roll (tuna over a roll of rice, spicy tempura flakes, avocado and cucumber) is damn delicious. Miso - not too salty with lots of good stuff.

I seldom think about this, but they do a really good job packing everything. Hot with hot and cold with cold, with care not to smush anything. I like buying raw fish from people who are organized and clean packers.

And don't even talk to me about the green tea mochi. I love it so.

Totally solid tiny little sushi place, with a friendly staff and a nice vibe.  I eat here probably once a week (usually a Maki combo) on those nights when I can't get out of the office until late and don't really want to think too hard about what to eat.  It rarely disappoints food-wise, and they get all the extra little details right (how they pack everything to go, the Miso, the soy sauce/ginger/wasabi).

Suma has something of a hole-in-the-wall vibe.  Lured into larger places on Broadway, I walked by it for about three years before trying it, and once I did, I realized how much I was missing out on.  The California rolls are among the best I've tried in New York, and the basic salad provides much more vegetables and a better ginger dressing than many other places.  The miso soup is also very well done. As others have mentioned, the bento box is probably the best deal, and delivery is super-fast.  The restuarant also provides a quiet and cozy space for dining in.

This tiny spot on Amsterdam has some very fine sushi, extremely attentive service, and a nice atmosphere (though the lights are a little bright). As it is small and (I have heard) fairly new, I've never seen it crowded, but I would be surprised if it didn't catch on. It has a full menu of non-sushi Japanese food as well; this is also well worth trying.
