This is my favorite sandwich  shop by far!!!! My favorite is the Hot Roast Beef and Provolone Sand-which. The fries are great and they give you lots of it too! What I love the most is their tea. I have tried one of their special blends called Organic Blend 333. If you like herbal flavors with a touch floral flavors and mint, this is for you. The peppermint gave it an extra kick and it just felt so nice and refreshing after drinking it. The breakfast menu is also very delicious, according to my boyfriend and he knows his food! The service is really great as well.

The only downside to the cafe would be its location. It was so hidden and I didn't realize there even was a restaurant there. This place is definitely a diamond in the rough. If you are ever in the Walnut area, you should definitely come and stop by!

I have to admit, this place is rather small and so out of the way, you wouldn't even know it was there unless you were either a local, or found out about it through Yelp or a friend.
But that aside, I was extremely impressed with the unique selection and quality of food offered here. I am a huge coffee buff and the coffees they have here are amongst the most unique I have ever heard of; mostly because a lot of them have an essence of fruit in them. But I have to say, however it is that they make them, it works. They also have a varied selection of herbal teas, if that's what you'd prefer.
No matter the time of day you go there, I highly recommend trying the Cinnamon Raisin French Toast. It's served on a lake of honeyed syrup, fresh strawberries and caramelized bananas on top. This is honestly some of the best french toast I have ever had; which is saying something.
And if sandwiches, burgers, and other "real" food is your way to go, they also have a good selection of that, as well.
Overall, I think this little cafe is worth driving a bit out of the way for.

I'm so glad I FINALLY go to try this place! Seriously, I only had it bookmarked to try for something like two and a half years!

I was kinda feeling the cobb salad, but after reading the Yelp reviews raving about the fries, I knew I had to try them. So I went with the bacon, avocado cheeseburger which was huge and really good with big thick slices of bacon. The bottom bun did start to get kind of soggy though. The fries were perfection - crispy and salty. I really need to try those homemade chips next time though. I noticed the table next to us ordered a side of chips to share, even though they both had fries too!

Will definitely be back. I need to try those chips and that spinach chicken melt that everyone is talking about! The only sour note was that we think someone keyed my friend's car while we were having lunch! It is so bizarre because she parked right in front of the restaurant and it doesn't seem like there would be hooligans around at noon on Thursday. Weird.

Finally made it here for breakfast.  This is more of a 3.5 star review.

This place is in a random industrial mall.  The portions are huge!

Fiance got the french toast and he looooved it.  I got the breakfast wrap.  I'm a breakfast burrito fanatic and hoped I finally found a local spot with a mean breakfast burrito but unfortunately, it did not hit the mark.  It is actually a breakfast wrap.  I asked for salsa to make it more breakast burrito tasting but they didn't have any :(

Sugar Rush is one of the most randomly located eateries I've ever set foot into - kinda had a hard time finding it, as it was located among commercial warehouses. I was taken here by a friend on Tuesday and she kept telling me how out of this world Sugar Rush's food as.

Well, she could have told me she was only referring to non-breakfast items.

I ordered the 2 egg breakfast plate which comes with hash browns, choice of toast, and choice of ham, bacon, or sausage. I asked for 2 scrambled eggs, wheat toast, and ham. The eggs were pretty watery and the ham had this "Asian refrigerator" taste to it (almost like you can taste the smell of other possible foods that were nearby in the fridge). On the other hand, the hash browns and wheat toast were good.

My friend ordered some type of sandwich & salad which I don't remember but she kept saying how good her food was.

I'd honestly say I didn't really like what I ordered. I just didn't feel satisfied with the taste. I feel bad because the family (I'm assuming) who owns this place seems pretty on top of their service, but...I'm sorry.

I likely will not be coming back. HOWEVER this same friend of mine kept saying how Sugar Rush's coffee was "out of this world", as well. Should I listen to her?

A small selection of some great cafe breakfast standards. We had a very enthusiastic server who checked up on us regularly without over doing it.  The ingredients were fresh and flavorful. Great Intelligentsia Coffee. This would have been 5 stars if baked goods were available (something I'd expect to have available with a $3 cup of coffee), otherwise I'll definitely return.

This is my favorite sandwich shop. Truly Walnut's best kept secret.

I alternate between their club sandwich and tuna melt, but both are just about perfect. Their fries couldn't get any better.

Quick friendly service in a small chill environment. This is a great place to start your weekend, or to end a hang over. :)

What a cute little place tucked in a little parking lot in what looks like the scene from Storage Wars. hahahah

Service was quick, friendly, and patient :)
We got the hot roast beef sandwich with provolone cheese and caramelized onions. The sandwich came with a horseradish mayo, but we were able to sub it with a garlic mayo. YAY! A really good sandwich and plenty of cheese. Yum.

We also had the cinnamon french toast, which was just ok. I've had better as the toast was a little soggy.

Their expresso coffees were delish! Next time I'm back, I would opt for a Hazelnut Latte.

NOTE: They are even nice enough to ask if you want to split checks at the end of the meal. Cool!

there are certain things in life that HAVE to go together.

bride and groom figurine on a cake topper, my friend Cathy's work out shorts and her dog Shiro (ops, forgot the husband on the side), batman and batmobile, chewed gum and the bottom of your newly purchased sneaker shoes... the list can go on and on.

so when i come to a breakfast place, where the standard egg, bacon, waffle are served, i expect my coffee to be refilled, bottomless, in order to enjoy this relaxing, peaceful, and long period of time during a lazy sunday morning.

    -------------------------------------------------- -------------------------------------------------- ----------

Sugar Rush offers premium coffee, supposedly.    thus the reason why they do not refill it.  now you ain't talking to a coffee connoisseur who can sniffle around coffee ground and tell you  what kind of exotic animal pooped it out to give it its special chemical reaction.  i simply, just want your most normal, most mundane, grounded with lame chipped coffee pot, refillable, cup of joe!

"can i just get a cup of your normal coffee that can be bottomless?"  i sheepishly asked the friendly chinese owner, without telling him i honestly hated that $3.50 / cup  Intelligentsia brew.

"no, we don't have it."  they said.

then i guess... two stars here you go.  because breakfast and refillable coffee, is just as essential, as anything else come coupled together.

Overall this place is good,  I think my situation just made it more on the "okay" side.

My co-workers and I decided that after reading yelp reviews we would order lunch to go one day. I was the one sent to pick it up, and I wish there was better parking, but that would never cause me to leave a lower rating.

Cute on the inside, small but very cute. The staff was very friendly and our food was already done: perfect.

Once I got back to the office however, we were all a tad bummed out. One of my co-workers got the french toast which she stated was so-so, but also said that she was sure it would taste better fresh.

I got a sandwich which was good, but the bread had already gotten soggy so that was a downer.

My other co-worker didn't really care for her sandwich at all, so that was a bummer.

I think if I was ever to come back, it would definitely need to be a sit in scenario, because our office is not far but the food was cold and soggy by the time I got it to us. (Under 5 minutes from leaving the location)

We've said it before and this spot supports our claim. Breakfast is the best meal of the deal. This little hidden cafe in the middle of a ton of industrial buildings is excellent.

We ordered the Breakfast Wrap (Burrito) and a Sunrise Sandwich. Both came with amazingly toasty hash browns. The burrito and sandwich were devoured completely. Both were better than what we expected. Another plus to this spot was the service. Even in this small cafe, the servers were very attentive. They did forget to bring out my hot chocolate, but they were quick to fix our bill.

A great place and definitely worth trying out. We will be here again.

    Not exactly what I expected....

    I've had better breakfast elsewhere.

Maybe they're just known for their sandwiches. I saw a lot of people eat sandwiches here.  How the heck do you buy sandwiches at a placed called SUGAR RUSH CAFE, though? *shrugs*

Christy L's been wanting to try this place for a long time, so finally I agreed and I brought Michael Y along for breakfast.

As soon as we got there, we got seated and decided what we were going to order:

    3 Iced Americanos @ ($2.50): http://www.yelp.com/bi...
They brew Intelligentsia coffee and quite frankly, this was just OK. Nothing special.

    Stack of Pancakes ($5.95): http://www.yelp.com/bi...
If we knew that they were going to serve pancakes like this, IHOP would have probably been a better choice.  They advertise that it's fluffy, but it was not. It was really dense and dry.

"The Sugar Rush" Cinnamon Raisin French Toast ($7.95): http://www.yelp.com/bi...
This one looked a bit different from the others because when you look at the other pictures, it screams DIABETES to you.  This was just OK. No WOW factor. It was just cinnamon raisin bread with their strawberry and banana syrup on the side.

    3 Egg Omelet w/ Choice of Any 3 Items ($8.25): http://www.yelp.com/bi...
My omelet came with ham, spinach, and cheddar cheese. It was served with hash browns and wheat toast.  Again, nothing really special.

Christy L also ordered Sausage links (3 pieces) @ $3.50.  No picture taken because that was the only one that actually tasted good. She hid them and scarfed it down like there was no tomorrow.

Quite frankly, I wouldn't come back here for anyone.  I completely agree with Christy L on this.  It's definitely for people who don't know how to cook and think ANYTHING tastes BOMB. :P

    PS - Free Wifi.

One word of advice:  Check your receipt and make sure they charge you correctly for the items you choose.  I ALWAYS check my receipt because certain places just think they can bust a fast one.  We were overcharged and it was a HASSLE.

    2.5 Stars!

Location: in an industrial complex, seems out of place and the parking can be hard to find.

Inside: small and cozy. Chairs and decor are so-so.

Staff: The service is pretty good and the servers are friendly. Family owned place and the owner seems like a genuinely nice person.

Food: The only "killer" dish here is the french toast which, if you have a sweet tooth, is pretty great. The candied banana slices are very good, and they use sliced fresh strawberries with them as toppers on a french toast that is smothered with home-made syrup. No wonder this place is called Sugar Rush Cafe :-)

If they used a little bit thicker sliced bread, a touch more vanilla and a slightly thicker syrup then it would have been closer to perfect. As it turns out it is very good and seems to bethe signature dish of the place.

Worth an occasional visit, but the food overall is just okay.

So I don't usually start off my reviews talking about the location.  But this place is located in a random ass place.  When I was looking for it today, I almost passed it because I saw big rigs going up the drive way. Its weird that a nice looking cafe is located here. haha.

So I took the recommendation of a lot of the other yelpers and I got the Chicken Spinach Melt w/ french fries. It was pretty damn good. From the cheese, to the chicken. and to the spinach, everything tasted great and I would highly recommend this sandwich too.  The fries were also pretty good. Very crispy.  The sandwich is really filling. I was starving when I got out of class and when I finished the sandwich I couldn't even touch the fries anymore.  So why not a full 5 stars? Because the sandwich can get messy. They stuff a lot of chicken and spinach between the two pieces of bread, that in one bite everything will be pushed to the back.  The iced tea was also not bad.

The inside of this place is really nice. You would never expect a cafe like this to be here.

Parking: Today it was pretty easy to find parking.

The service: Really good. Attentive for sure. Everyone came by making sure I was satisfied and if I need anything.

Price: for all my food it cost me about $12

Will I be back? Sure. Now that I'm going to Mt. SAC again, I might see you more Sugar Rush Cafe. I still want to try the items you offer for breakfast.

My friends and I  came here for breakfast earlier today on the way back to LA from an event in San Bernadino.

This place is in a really strange location? The units around it all look like storage units?

Overall, the food was decent but I expected more considering how many Yelp reviews this place has.

The raisin bread french toast was exceptional and the coffee was very good. The other items we ordered we okay, but nothing that special. I wish there was more variety on the menu, but overall this is a decent place.

In LA, there are tons of amazing, unique breakfast places, so maybe my perspective is skewed.

Seeing 4 stars for this restaurant by over 200 reviews, Jayne L. and I were curious and had bookmarked to try their breakfast for a long time.  Being a sunday morning, I didn't feel like making anything at home and called Jayne L. to go eat at Sugar Rush Cafe.  She brought Michael Y. and we headed over to the cafe.  It is nestled inside an industrial area where you have plenty of parking.

On our drive over to Walnut, Jayne L. made the decision about what we're going to order.  Luckily I was given permission to order their coffee=)  Jayne L. being the instigator, we ordered the French toast, Pancakes and Omelette with a side of their Sausage links.  We all ordered their Iced Americano instead of their Hot coffee brewed over the Chemex.

I'm not a huge fan of Intelligentsia coffee(you can read my Intelligentsia coffee experience from Old town Pasadena)  and wasn't looking forward to their coffee.  Being a coffee addict, I was in desperate need of COLD iced coffee.  It was what I had expected.  BITTER, BOLD and not very good.  Even with cream and sugar, it was hard to swallow.  Michael Y. seem to like his coffee very bitter and dark roasted so he really enjoyed this iced espresso drink.

Pancakes:  3 stacks comes with butter and syrup.  Over cooked and NOT fluffy. I like my pancakes fluffy....this pancake was dry.  I'll pass.

French Toast:  Made using Raisin bread that comes with banana and strawberry drenched in syrup.  It was good but nothing that stands out.  I still like my french toast from Marstons in Pasadena.

Omelette:  You get to choose 3 items.  Jayne L. got the spinach, ham and cheddar. It was pretty good.  This also came with choice of toast and hash browns.

Sausage links:  3 pieces for $3.50  This is no jimmy deans sausage links.  It was VERY GOOD.  I think the best part to my meal was eating the sausage links.

Overall, this is a perfect place for those who can't cook or are too lazy to make their own breakfast.  It's a famlily owned business and they seem to do very well catering towards the young adults.  If you're not into DARK, BOLD, BITTER coffee, stay away from their Intelligentsia coffee.  Tastes like tar.  Not that I've ever tried tar :P

This place is one of those hidden gems that you don't expect to find in walnut. It's great for hanging out with friends, and best of all, the waiters aren't in a hurry to kick you out after your meal is finished. I like that there's no pressure to leave. The atmosphere is warm, friendly, and clean. The service is great, and you'll always find your cup full from all those refills.

If you like eating brunch, this is the place for you. I came here a few times with friends, and they all seemed to love it. They're most popular with the chicken spinach melt, and I recommend first timers to try it just for the hype. I know this is not the restaurant's fault, but my sandwich became soggy due to the juicy spinach inside. I'm a slow eater, so the longer you wait to eat your sandwich, it will make the ciabatta bread become soggy. I say this because I'm not a fan of mushy bread; i like mine's toasty and warm. Overall, this dish is good because it has healthy ingredients such as roasted chicken, spinach, and cheese. The fries that come with it is so crunchy and delicious. It's not too fried and oily, and just right.

Last time, I got the 3 eggs omelette with mushrooms, tomatoes, and onions. This plate is huge because it comes out with hash browns, and 2 slices of toasted bread on the side. Their omelettes are fairly big, and the hash browns are too. The portions aren't disappointing. The food was even better! I highly suggest the hash browns because they're perfectly crunchy, and warm on the inside. As for the omelette, it was good but I think I should've put in some type of meat for more taste. Nonetheless, I enjoyed it and putting the hot sauce made it slightly more flavorful.

PLEASE do not get their salad combo. This plate is not worth the money. Even if you guys may be salad lovers, I don't think there's anything special to make their salads stand out. It only contains leaves (LOTS of arugula so it has a lasting flavor) and dressing..unless you get the roasted chicken added in. I also got their special soup on the side, and it was just oily tomato soup with veggies. I could literally see the oil floating in my bowl that I couldn't finish it.

    Pretty, tasty coffee drinks!

The sandwiches are good--I only tried the tuna melt.

Not too fond of the fresh potato chips (but no one I know would agree with that sentiment).

The fresh fries are the best!!! The basket is huge for a very reasonable price. Like $5 or less. They are my favorite thing about here, aside from the exceptionally friendly owner family.

Such a strange, middle of nowhere location but I'm glad I got over my fear of strange tumble weeds and visited. Close to Mt. Sac and Cal Poly campuses too! Will come again!

What the heck?!  Middle of nowhere, nestled in an industrial park, sits a nondescript (at least the outside) breakfast/lunch cafe. However, once inside you'd swear you're in a trendy Starbucks in Old Town Pasadena.

My coveted 5 star endorsement needs to meet three criteria's. Value, exceeding of expectation, and above all quality and taste of food. I don't give many, but this one deserves it.

I've been to countless breakfast places from truck stops to IHOP to the luxury hotel fare. Some were good, even great, but none have ever impressed me to the point that I wanted to go back.... until now.

    FOOD:
Straight to the point, order the French Toast and Hash Browns. What sets the FT apart from everyone else's is the raisins in the batter, the one-of-a-kind syrup, and the fresh cut strawberries and caramelized banana on top. The perfectly molded mound of HB has a slight buttery aroma. It's crunchy to the taste and moist on the inside. Their specialty coffee is aerated in front of you and poured into your large white porcelain cup.

    SERVICE:
It was good, we had a hospitable college-looking student that was attentive and polite. The owner was also working the front of the house, making sure everything was running smoothly.

    DECOR:
Reminded me of Starbucks, 'nuff said.

    VALUE:
Expect to pay on par w/ Denny's and IHOP. Your standard breakfast prices have inched up costing as much as a lunch or dinner these past few years. Given the choice, I'd go here hands down and no questions asked.

Perhaps I wasn't expecting much pulling up to an industrial complex, really I thought the place would be no more than the truck stop fare. It really took me by surprise. It's family friendly, plenty nice for a breakfast date, or that cup of morning joe.

But remember.... the french toast and hash browns.

Thumbs up, "didn't see it coming" style. But as always, let me know what you think.

It's pretty hard to find a non-commercialized restaurant in the land of Applebees and TGIFs. So, when it came time for our monthly fam lunch in the 909 - I was determined to find a mom and pops place. And Sugar Rush Cafe it was!

First of all, service was great. They gave my lil niecey niece free mini pancakes. That put a smile in her face and kept her occupied. The menu is pretty limited to the usual cafe food - sandwiches, salads, and breakfast. We ordered the Omelete, Cinnamon Raisin Toast, Roast Beef Sandwich and Bacon Avocado Burger. Their Ciabatta bread is good and totally satisfied my carb cravings. Everything tasted OK.

The best part was the coffee. We tried the Iced Mocha, House Blend, and Costa Rican. I LOVE CAFFEINE and this was such a great change to my daily Starbucks intake. I would definitely check this place out if you are in the area and a coffee connoisseur.

I found a little cute hidden cafe!

Haha, the portions are huge-I can't even finish an (OK) sandwich without sharing... XD The food was good for such cheap price tho I do like their fries and the way they make their sunny side up (or it can just be my lucky afternoon =D) There were a lot on the menu to choose from, but majority being the same stuff--sandwich, burger.

The staffs were friendly-two upper-mid-age couple? and the service was overall well. Definitely worth of my 5minutes getting lost here. It is not, however, if I were to be lost 2 mins longer.

    Correction: it's 3.5 stars rating =)

Came here today for lunch with my friend. It was my first time coming here and hearing about this place from my friends made me want to try it. The place is kind of hidden... It's like in the middle of nowhere and is on the corner of a bunch of warehouses.. Not really appealing from the outside.

The place inside was pretty cozy. It's a great place to sit and chow down on some of their yummy food. Was seated right away which is a plus.

Now onto the food... I ordered the famous chicken spinach melt and my friend ordered the omelette. The chicken spinach melt was pretty delicious. It came with a side of fries which were nice and crunchy.

4 Stars because the price was pretty pricey for the food but I guess it was worth it.

I do recommend going to this place because it's a pretty cute little cafe if you wanna catch up with some friends.

Next time I come here, I'm gonna try the french toast that everyone's talking about.

On our way to the desert outlets and rolled off the 10 to check this place out. Wow! What a find. Got the three-egg omelette (you pick three items: I got spinach, mushroom and bacon) with hash browns and choice of bread. Great portions and omelette was hot with plenty of filling. They definitely did not skimp on the spinach. The hash browns crispy on the outside and warm on the in. Did I mention good portions? Yes, this will fill you up. It's not great for large groups; the venue itself is small, but more than makes up for it with excellent service, a terrific menu and family-style atmosphere.

I think Sugar Rush Cafe wins people over in how clean, tidy, neat, and hip it is. It's a really cute cafe decorated with artsy photographs that reminds me of a nice poem I heard once. The staff is SUPER friendly and their menu has an array of food items, but mostly things that remind me of breakfast or brunch.

I came here with my girlfriend and she ordered the Belgian Waffles which were very pretty and big, I believe she also got a side of hash browns. I ordered an Omelet with Bacon, Spinach, and Mushrooms which came with hash browns and I THINK wheat toast. The food was in good portions but I drenched most of it in ketchup and Tabasco sauce. The bacon was not as how I imagined it, it was a little chewy. I was decently full at the end.

A turn off was how BARREN the food looked coming out on a plain white plate. Although completely not necessary, they could make things prettier on the eyes by either using colorful plates or garnishing the plates with salsa, diced tomatoes/cucumbers, or a fruit salad of some sort. I just wanted the dish to have some life.

Ultimately, it was a fond experience, but not anything CRAZY to tell people about. They don't have any gimmicks, nothing is overly cheap, portions aren't overly huge, and it's kind of in the middle of nowhere. If you are in the area and want to have a nice meal, maybe with someone special, swing by and give them a try. It won't kill you and what more can you really ask?

A few friends and I just went out for breakfast.  The coffee was REALLY good.  I think that was my favorite part.  The food was ok.  I got the cinnamon raison french toast that someone raved about in the reviews.  It was really sweet.  Definitely not the best french toast I've ever had.   A couple of my friends got the pancakes and said they were fine but nothing to write home about.  The candied bananas tasted really good, but it was really watery.  I would've liked them to be more syrup-y.  It just made my french toast soggy.  AND My friend got sourdough toast with her omelet.  It just tasted like white bread...not "sour".

I was surprised how empty it was for a Saturday morning breakfast, too, especially because of all the rave reviews.  It was just us and one other table.

Service was friendly but not the best.  We had a hard time communicating with our server.  One of my friends wanted soy milk with her coffee, but he gave her buttermilk.  Because it was so difficult to communicate, she didn't want to bother to complain.  (I didn't know about this until we got home....  I would've said something if I knew.)

I would go back for coffee if I was in town...  and maybe I would try something off their lunch menu...  It's worth the second chance only because the coffee was yummy.

A little pricey but the food was pretty good and the service was excellent, so I'm not complaining. I had the bacon avocado burger and the bf had the chicken spinach melt. My burger was good and tasted like a cafe burger -- you know, on the "light" side, where the patty wasn't really thick and juicy, but you tasted all the elements of the burger and didn't feel bogged down by oil and grease afterward. Bf's chicken melt was good too -- chicken was juicy, cheese was nice and melted, and he also said he could taste all the layers. We both got our meals with fries and they were perfectly crisp. Oh, we also got a Belgian waffle to share and it was light and airy, with powdered sugar and strawberries (could've used more strawberries).

Overall, good food but not super WOW factor. Again, great service though so I think that brings people back. If I lived in the area, I could see myself coming here to work and study a lot since they have free wifi.

    I cannot say it enough.

    I. LOVE. SUGAR. RUSH. CAFE.

Introduced by my amazing ate, the first time I ever came here was extremely hungover. Like walk of shame, I don't care how shitty I look hungover.

Strolling in with my crew, we ordered miscellaneous items. I was then introduced to the best sandwich ever - the hot roast beef and provolone sandwich. Caramelized onions, melted provolone cheese and a horse-radish spread on artisan bread?!?!?! UHHHHNNNN. HURT. ME. GOOD.

But other than that there are also other awesome menu items. Take the breakfast foods for example. Their omelettes are super bomb. Three items in a three egg omelette like spinach, mushrooms and cheddar cheese? That's not an omelette, that's a freaking BOMB-lette. Their hashbrowns are good and crispy, too!  Still need to try the french toast. :T

Of course this is a cafe. So there is coffee, tea, lattes and other miscellaneous dranks. Let me just say, their tea is awesome. Steeping in a cute, glass teapot is not your average tea-bag, but it really looks like potpourri is in your teapot! The leaves, flowers and herbs in your pot are so colorful and beautiful. They are also very generous on refilling your steaming, hot water. Latte wise they use intelligentsia technology. The lattes are a little bittersweet, but they are beautiful and well-made. The owner/barista definitely knows what he's doing.

Staff: The workers there are all very attentive, friendly and happy to help. They definitely enhance the experience for all guests.

Ambiance: It's a cute, clean, not too small cafe. I think this place is okay for groups as big as 6 - 8 people and there are plenty of seats for smaller parties in a comfortable, cafe lounge like environment.

They do have wi-fi as well :D

The very definition of a gem! This place is tucked away in a very industrial section of town. It's easy to miss it while driving.

Once you find it, you will be pleasantly surprised by the interior design and the quality of eats! + Free wifi!!!

Had the Bacon Avocado Cheeseburger with Fries and the Macchiato. We ordered their Macchiato because of the yelp pics but it was decent (would not get again). However their burger was from the heavens! I'm a burger man and yelpers, let me tell you it was one of the best  burgers I've had. The applewood smoked bacon was delish! The avocado was creamy. The burger patty was juicy and fresh! Their bun was better than any bun I've ever. Their garlic mayo brought flavors burgers have never seen before! And the fries were some of the best crispy fries I've ever had!

This would be my go-to diner spot if I lived in Walnut. Bravo Sugar Rush!

Rush Hour Baby!! Sugar Rush Hour that is!

It was decided. This would be my birthday coffee place. Such hot reviews on yelp.

AOK coffee. I had a mocha and the coffee was fresh and strong. Opposite of a 7-Up, my coffee was not fresh and clean with no caffeine but fully loaded with a distinct and rich flavor and full of caffeine. 3+ Stars for the coffee.

I also ordered fresh fruit. The fruit was fresh, but not very ripe. The serving was pretty large. I would average it at 4 Stars.

This place has a very high rating. I would not drive out of my way to come here.

This is an AOK place to Java-fi (get caffeinated while you wifi).

I wish everyday was my birthday. Good times!

This is a nugget of goodness trapped in a plaza of auto repair and warehouse places. The cinnamon raisin French toast was very good, as are the chicken and cheese melt. The kids enjoyed the grilled cheese.  Seating is limited so get there early

Pancakes are deelish here!!  Large, light  and fluffy.  The vanilla butter goes really well with it too!   Highly recommended. Wayy better than IHOP or Denny's in my opinion. The hash browns are very tasty here too!   Burgers are big and the patties are juicy.  Portions are very generous in my opinion, contrary to what others have stated in their reviews.  Potato chips are nice and crunchy.  Buffalo wings are decent, not up to par with Hooters wings, but are tasty.

Restaurant itself is small,  clean, and well kept.  Has a very strong mom and pop restaurant feel to it.  Bathrooms are clean too!  :)  It's just located in a weird, industrial area off Valley Blvd.

    Price wise, they are decent.

Some of the things I do believe they need to work on is getting the check faster to you when you ask for it.  We dined here twice and both times they seemed to lag with bringing you your check.  Also, they could benefit from bringing in a larger selection of black and green teas for customers to choose from.  :)   Other than that, great, little place to dine at.  :)

You ask me when I first started going there it would have been a four or maybe even five.  I think they have recycled through some help there and it has changed the service or food.

Everything I have I have enjoyed and I always feel like their food is really fresh.  Their breakfast and lunches are great, salads are fresh and large, sandwiches are quite yummy.

Service can tend to be slow but the ones who have worked there a while do remember you and are always the nicest.

Fairly priced, great coffee, I only wish they had fountain soda but that's a personal preference. They do soda by the 20 oz bottle but I prefer fountain and sometimes might want a refill of my Diet Coke.

Some faves: Breakfast burrito, Avacado BLT
