Review from Marlo G.
Brooklyn, NY
I wanted to be so in love with this place and it's cakes but it fell short. The cake initially looked beautiful because I was so excited and spent $254 on it but when the rest of my party saw it they said "it's cute but i hope you didn't spend too much, it doesn't taste too good". The butter cream tasted like sticks of butter in between the cake layers and the detail on the cake was not what I expected. I was promised more than was delivered, the decorative pieces where stenciled shapes on flattened marshmallow and cut into shapes and put on the cake. The cake arrived late (about a half hour late) and needless to say even though the owner was very sweet I think she overcharges for her cakes. The Wall-E cake on the website, which showed tremendous detail was $300 so you would think that for $50 less the detail would still be somewhat comparable....not even close! Sorry Sugarmama's....
I was and am a disappointed Mama! -
Review from BJ B.
New York, NY
I had this cake at a party last year- did NOT enjoy it at all! It was way too sweet & ordinary. Also, the cake was very amateur looking... something that maybe a new culinary arts student would create. I went to the baker's website and ALL of her cakes look busted, I don't know who would buy from her! Well, all I can say is that there are way better bakeries in the city to get a cake from.
