The sandwich guy is fast and efficient. Standard fare for a quick lunch that's not a burger. I did have a bit of a problem recently. I ordered a combo and they waited until my sandwich was made and it and chips on my tray before telling me the drink machine wasn't working. The man pointed to the cooler and I got a bottle of Coke. He then proceeded to charge me more than $1.00 more than the combo price. I asked him if they were making me pay more due to THEIR PROBLEM and he said yes. If the special combo price wasn't available due to drink machine being down, they should have put up a sign or told me before I ordered. As it was, felt a lot like BAIT AND SWITCH FRAUD. I emailed Subway several weeks ago and haven't heard back. Unless they resolve this: next time and every time in the future, I will go to Jersey Mike's which is very close to where I work as well.

Probably one of the tastier Subways. I know they're a chain and all, but it seems like they sprinkle a little bit of crack into the bread at this one, luckily they have a scale next to the soda to remind you that just because it's theoretically healthier, that you cant put 15 meatballs on a sub and call it diet health food.
The main thing I despise about this location is the parking and subsequent exiting during any sort of busy time... you end up blocked in in a worse case by gridlock, and in a best case you're stuck waiting forever for a traffic light to turn if you need to go left. These, however, are not things that I think Subway can do much about unless they complain to someone loudly.
Place has always been clean when I've been, and I get the sense from people leaving car keys, wallets, phones, etc laying about that there's either some sort of trust in the employees and people there, or it's an elaborate sting operation being conducted by Metro PD to bust sub shop thieves.
For a while this was one of the places you could get a foot long veggie max for $5, sadly this is not to be any more...
I dig it -

This is unlike any Subway you have every been to. It is more like a New York deli. It gets packed at lunch time and the five people behind the counter are each characters with great individual personalities. I love being able to read one of the many magazines they have available. There is enough seating for over 60 people, which sounds crazy, but I actually saw it totaly full one time. There is a reason so many people come to this subway, and it is the great people who work there.
I love hearing "next order please" yelled to me when I am still six people away from the counter, because that high-strung skinny guy just has to be as many sandwiches ahead as possible. The middle three people on the line work well together to move orders along at a rapid pace. The mellow young guy at the register rounds out the group, and asks me how I'm doing in a way that makes me feel like he actually cares.
I recommend coming here at the busiest time possible to get the real feel for the place, otherwise you may walk away thinking it was just another Subway. -

My favorite subway. Franchiese owner is a nice Indian guy. The sandwich makers are fast, especially the skinny new guy. This special Melrose Berry Hill area Subway also puts out todays newspapers and mags to make you want to eat and sit a spell.
