I love Subway, but just for the food. The service always varies and at this particular location it's among the worst. The employees were just rude and unprofessional, not to just me, but every costumer in there at the time. It's annoying that they lack basic customer service skills and I will definitely avoid this location unless I desperately need to go there as a last resort (i.e. there is a blizzard and I'm craving Subway and it's the closest).

This Subway is the worst I have ever been to. As other reviewers have noted, the employees and owners are extremely rude to every customer that walks through the door, they're constantly out of ingredients, and above all, there are unsanitary conditions. I asked for a footlong veggie, and and I also asked the woman to change her gloves since she had been handling the meat. She did so, but then she grabbed the bread with her bare hands. I made her aware of that, and she nodded and got me new bread once her new gloves were on. The next customer who walked in also ordered something on wheat bread, and the employee proceeded to use that same loaf she had touched! Pretty gross, and displays how cheap this place is. Never, ever going back again.

I wanted to lose a little weight and stay on a budget so i started going to subway regularly.
When I moved to Lincoln Park, I started going to this store....OMG. I have never seen owners this rude! They actually snap at customers!!!
The thing that bothered me the most was that they charged me more for sandwiches, but they would give me a week-old cookie for free (of course that too depends on her mood). that owner has mental issues. of course, i don't have to mention that their ingredients are never fresh and that they are VERY CHEAP!
If you don't believe me, check it out for yourself. Just make sure you go before 4 or 5pm because the owner leaves around that time.
There are several subway stores that you can go to in Lincoln Park, just avoid this one. -

Ugh. I've had enough of this Subway.
A word to the wise: If you want to go to this subway, only go at night. During the day, you'll meet the cheapskate owner, who dictates customers get 2 cucumbers (3 is standard EVERYWHERE else, as I said before) and 4 olives. Not to mention they cheap out on the guacamole, which of course you pay extra for. They even skimped on the lettuce, which is their cheapest ingredient, and which usually is piled on the most because of that.
I can't go back during the day. The night? The night is just fine. They always give me at least the minimum, and usually more. If you want Subway and live in the area, just save your desire for night time when the owner is gone and the night guys are there. They're pretty nice. I'll be avoiding this subway until 5pm or later.Listed in: My new 'hood, Lincoln Park

You know what really sucks about this place? It's a 24 hour Subway, yet when I stopped in at 5AM, they couldn't sell me a bottle of water b/c the cash register was down.

Would give 0 stars if I could. Orchard chicken salad sandwich was all mayo and no chicken in it at all. On a $5 veggie only footlong they charge extra if you ask for spinach! Seriously, this is the cheapest subway ever and clearly trying to stretch a buck by ripping off customers! Won't go back again, even if it is around the corner!

Quite possibly the worst Subway I have been to. I went here on a hot summer day, and inside there was no AC. Add the hot ovens baking the bread and this place was roasting! Not only was it unbearably hot inside, the cheeses on the line were melting, it looked like the meats had spoiled, and the veggies were all warped from the heat. I love subway, but I will not be back to this location!!

Oh, how I hate this Subway. I never have high expectations when visiting any Subway. I expect a mediocre sandwich for a low price. But this particular location is absolutely horrendous. If I order the Sub of the Day, the cashier tries to charge me the regular price about 80% of the time. This Subway also doesn't have a little screen to show you what you're being charged, so you have to KNOW that they are going to try to overcharge you. If this was a one-time thing, it would be excusable, but this has never happened at another Subway while it happens to me at this location on a regular basis.
On top of that, this Subway no longer carries regular 21 ounce cups. You have to get a 32 ounce or larger. Of course, the cashier (who was the owner) didn't even bother explaining this to me and charged me for the jumbo drink I didn't even want. Then he gave me attitude when I inquired about my total and the large size of the cup and he insisted that this was the smallest size they offered. Oh, and this was the owner. (This was, of course, after I reminded him that I ordered the Sub of the Day and wasn't charged correctly for that, either.)
On my most recent visit, two new employees attempted to assemble sandwiches while the owner and his wife corrected them and told them to hurry up from a distance. Great training technique, there. -

I only go to this Subway because it is close to me...I agree with the first review. The employees are rude and not customer friendly. Last time I went, I had to repeat want veggies I wanted because the employee was deep into convo with another employee and it wasn't in English. Awhile waiting another employee crawled out from underneath the countertop?!? I have no clue what that employee was doing. I will say the employee did just charge me for one foot long instead of two 6-inches. I'm not a fan at all of this Subway. It puts them to shame. I would give one star rating but the food is still good.

I went in a rush to get a last minute gift card. They had plenty...but the only employee working said she was new and wasn't able to process gift cards. Real nice.

I have been to this location three times. Once in September, then I gave them another chance for a sandwich yesterday and breakfast this morning. My uncle owns a Subway restaurant, so I have come to expect pretty good things from the chain. This location may be the WORST location on the planet. They are rude. They snap at you while making the sandwich. They do things completely out of order. They are ALWAYS out of main ingredients. Once it was spinach and provolone cheese. Today during breakfast, they didn't have English muffins. I literally had to tell the man making my sandwich what goes on the western egg white melt (I read it off the menu to him). The coffee station doesn't have sugar, cream, or ANYTHING. I have been overcharged (purposely) two times and now pay attention to how much the total is coming out to be. Not only will I never return, but I plan to report this location to corporate. They even have the nerve to put a sign on the window telling customers to get off the phone. REALLY? I know that it is frustrating for employees to make a sandwich when someone is yapping away on their cell instead of answering what cheese and veggies they want, but it is so rude to demand that of paying customers. They get a single star because they have "free wi-fi" - not that I've tried to use it.

If you can manage to go to any other Subway in the vacinity of this location, do it. I have been a few other times, but my most recent experience was my last. On top of the slow service, the woman who rang me up took my credit card, swiped it, stood around waiting for it to work while talking to her coworker and munching on a cookie... and their machined didn't work. She attempted to restart their machine, all the while standing there saying nothing to me. After 5 minutes of this or so, I asked for my card back, as I was nervous having her hold onto it. She chucked it at me, hitting me in the torso. I incredulously asked her if she seriously just threw my card at me, and she began arguing with me as to whether I planned on paying for the meal. I then asked to speak to the manager, and she informed me she was the manager. Convenient. I then asked for their store number, and she told me she couldn't remember it at that time. I walked out and called their corporate office, but of course never heard anything. Run far far far away.
