Ann did my hair and makeup for my Friday wedding in September. She did a wonderful job even though we had never met and I had not done a trial. Compared to the other hair and makeup artists I looked at, she actually quoted the lowest and reasonable price for coming to the hotel on a Friday and doing both my hair and makeup in only about 2 hours. She came exactly on time and she gave me this beautiful side-swept hairstyle that I had seen her do for a model on her website (Nina Cung?) She also did a wonderful job on my makeup. I rarely wear makeup so she made feel very at ease at what she was doing, even while applying fake eyelashes, which are the neatest things ever! Also she was very nice and professional, and as it was my first experience ever in having makeup professionally applied, I felt very at ease. Everyone at the wedding kept complimenting me on how I looked, and the photographs came out beautifully. I did not even need any touchups!
as an aside to all the brides though, I would recommend bringing some extra bobby pins or hairspray with you--my wedding outdoors was very windy and unfortunately my hair started coming apart a little at the bottom. But the hairstyle still stayed beautiful, thanks to Ann. Thanks Ann! -

Ann did my hair and makeup for my Sept wedding. She and I got along really well. She made me feel at ease and was brutally honest, which I appreciate. She also arranged for the stylist who did the mom's and wedding party makeup. While she was over $1k (total for 5 ladies; Ann only did mine but coordinated the makeup artist), it was worth it and the pictures came out nice. I was totally ok with her booking more than one wedding. I wanted a relatively natural look and that's what I got, along with some great smoky eyes.
If you want more WOW than natural, I'm sure you can get it. I think she was just great with following instructions and keeping her cool. She was also fast and responsive with emails.
One of the things that really bothered me about other makeup artists I tried (I went through 3 trials altogether!) was how fake and money-grubbing they were. She was also quick (I mean, really it shouldn't take 3-4 hrs to put on your face)... Ann was not like that. I like efficient, honest, and fast --- because believe me, you wanna look great but you want as much sleep the night before as possible! No makeup can hide tiredness and sagging eyes!
The only thing I wish is that the makeup brand Ann used on the actual day was different from the one she tried on me, and I personally liked the brand we did the trial with. Regardless, things came out fine. I did not have her all day, just from about 10am-noon'ish. Thanks ANN! You made me laugh and glad we bonded a bit.
BTW, I chose Styles by Ann over Jira from Wowpretty (too heavy and not me) and Maria from PMA (too light, it all came off within an hour) .both referrals that did not work out. The unfortunate thing in this industry is that trials run is $200 wasted money just to see how (bad) they each were. It's insane. -

Ann did my hair and makeup for my May 2010 wedding. I thought I had done a review for her earlier, but I guess I did not. My wedding was out of town and I didn't get a chance to schedule a trial or anything like that. In addition, I didn't even discuss what I wanted done with my hair and makeup with Ann (not because of Ann, but because things were so crazy for me and I just let that slip through the cracks). In fact, I didn't even confirm with her a day or two prior to the wedding. All correspondence was when I booked her and that was that.
She showed up on the wedding day earlier than expected (which was great because I would have preferred to book her earlier but she had another wedding to do). We joked about how unprepared I was with regards to what look I wanted. I just asked her to make me look pretty and she did a really great job! I looked natural and like myself but much, much prettier.
Also, Ann's rates are very reasonable and she was extremely kind and funny while doing my makeup. I would definitely recommend her services to anyone. -

Ann Ho is very professional and she made me into a beautiful bride. She did my hair and make up and also did my mom's as well. She made my mom look really pretty. I loved how she took the time to place each individual eyelash to make my asian eyes bigger. She knows what she's doing and she's good at it. She arrived on time and got the job done in 2 hours for myself and spent less than an hour on my mom. We got to know each other and shared stories of each others bridal experiences. Thanks Ann!

Ann did my makeup for my wedding in 11/19/11. We did a trial a few months back, which was also my engagement photo session so that turned out great! my fiance loved my makeup on both occassions! We did a lighter look for the trial. I told her to emphasize on my eyes and she was able to make them pop. For the day of the wedding, we did a heavier, slightly more glam look, and i got compliments all night long! Most of the makeup lasted all night long even with all the dancing and kisses, and through tearful moments. I had to reapply my lipstick and use light powder to dab off that shiny look, but i also made sure that I didn't cry too much or rub my eyes so that helped.
She did an amazing job for the trial and for the day of wedding! she was very personable, calm, professional (but not uptight!), talked a bit (but not too much which is great!), and she gives her honest opinion on what she thinks will look best on your face which is always something i appreciate. She is also pretty fast with responding to her emails and calls. Her and her assistant showed up on time as scheduled and was calm when we were running late. Her pricing is reasonable and does a wonderful and is able to finish within an hour. I would definitely recommend her for weddings and other events! -

Ann is a miracle worker! Ann was my make up artist for my wedding in September and I was extremely happy with her work. My make up and hair was absolutely perfect and her staff did a great job on my wedding party also. Typically, artists come with 1 maybe 2 assistants but Ann came with 3 others to work on my bridal party and she spent all her time on me, which I really appreciated!
Not only did Ann do such a great job on my hair and make up, but she was VERY easy to work with from my very first email inquiry to her. She was able to work with my budget and she was extremely responsive on email to all my questions.
I absolutely loved Ann and her work, I would 100% recommend her to any bride looking for a true artist.

WHAT A GEM! I went to ann for a makeup trial and got hair/makeup done for an engagement shoot. She's amazing...hair/makeup was flawless.
She's really easy to work with and I love her business style; very detail oriented and organized. Before each appointment, ann will send her client a confirmation email (this has been a lifesaver especially if your schedule is jam packed).
I love seeing her work her magic. She's done both a dramatic look and a natural look on me. Ann's just really good at enhancing a person's natural beauty. I've also booked her for 3 more events - can't wait to be transformed :) -

When I was looking for a makeup artist I made a list of the top rated makeup artists on yelp and asked my bridesmaids to sift through all the portfolios. We all unanimously agreed that Ann's makeup portfolio was the strongest and her price was very reasonable. I made an appointment for a hair and makeup trial and was very pleased with the results!
On the day of the wedding, Ann showed up as promised and ready to go. After a couple hours and hair extensions later I was transformed into a beautiful bride! I LOOVED how the makeup came out in the photos! I highly recommend Ann for bridal makeup. She is reliable, punctual, personable and really knew how to calm my jittery nerves. She obviously had a lot of knowledge and experience and I believe that anyone that hires her for the job would be just as happy as I was! -

Found out Ann has a Yelp profile too! Ann did the makeup for my pinup shoot with Kelly Hsiao photography and she did an absolutely lovely job. The makeup was so flawless that the pictures looked great right out of the camera. And bonus to boot she was really nice, putting up with my gazillion questions on how airbrushing worked, why this tool or that, etc.
She's highly recommended - in fact I've already recommended her to my friends. :) -

Ann and her team receive 5 stars because of the following:
1. Extremely responsive via email.
I work a lot, so it's hard for me to meet in person or take time for a phone call. My communication of choice is email. With Ann, I'd email her and I'd get a clear and concise response within the hour. This was extremely nice since I had experience with other vendors where I wouldn't hear from them for days and their responses would be unclear and/or not even address my initial questions.
2. Made an extraordinary effort to accommodate me.
Two situations come to mind when explaining this one:
A) My mother-in-law asked about a week before my wedding whether it would be okay if Ann could put on her fake eye lashes. I emailed Ann about this and was expecting a quote for the cost. She responded saying it was no problem and she'd do it for free. A simple gesture like this went a long way and really made me think highly of Ann.
B) My photographer told me of a situation he had with another client using a different makeup artist and their makeup artist was over an hour late to their session and delayed the actual wedding ceremony by about 2 hours. My photographer told me this about 4 days before my wedding (which really freaked me out). He suggested I contact Ann to ask if her team could come an hour earlier to ensure they would be done in time. I contacted Ann that night worried that she might not be able to do this. She responded quickly saying that she would have her team there an hour early and she'd try and get there as soon as she could. This made me feel relieved that she was trying to do everything in her power to make me calm and relaxed before my wedding. Day of, her assistant came an hour early, Ann came as soon as she could, and both finished my bridesmaids and I earlier than expected.
NOTE: Believe me this type of relief from a vendor is hard to find. If you find a vendor like this, grab tight and don't let go.
3. Price was more expensive than I budgeted for, but well worth it.
You get what you pay for and Ann and her team was worth every penny. She is a true talent. She knows how to make you look good for photography and also how to make your makeup and hair last for hours (mine lasted from about 12 pm in the afternoon to 10 pm at night).
4. Simply said - she and her team are professional and true artists
Because of my budget, I wasn't able to have a before the wedding consultation with Ann. And, because I'm not the best when it comes to hair styles, when Ann came to do my hair and makeup the day of the wedding she asked me what I wanted and I probably gave her an answer that she hates to hear: "I'd like something over the shoulder that looks nice. For makeup, something that looks natural." I honestly don't know how she did it, but she made my hair wave and flow over my shoulder so beautifully and my makeup accentuated my good features while also looking natural and not caked on. It was basically better than I had ever expected. Her assistant did 3 of my bridesmaids and they were equally as vague with her and she did the same; great and natural hairstyles and makeup. Everyone was very pleased!
SUMMARY: Ann and her team was one of the vendors I picked that went above and beyond my expectations. They were profession, accommodating, and extremely talented. During my entire experience with her, I was never worried about whether or not they would show up or do a good job (believe me, I was worried about the reliability of some other vendors up to and during my wedding). Do not be scared off by her price (if you are on a budget). Find other ways to lower your budget (like flowers or party favors), because in my experience, hiring Ann and her team to do my bridesmaids and my hair and makeup for my wedding was one of the best decisions I made. -

I cannot rave enough about Ann! I truly have never felt more beautiful or confident in my life. So many people stopped to compliment my hair and makeup and my own 2 year old daughter didn't recognize me at first as I looked so glamorous and different from my usual no-makeup self.
She was prompt in answering all emails, extremely helpful, and listened to my requests. She was also early to our appt (as were we, as i was nervous about getting lost). Ann also came up with extremely flattering styles for my hair and makeup that took advantage of my hair texture/style and didn't set me up for failure. Honestly. I was very nervous, as I am Asian and have small eyes with no visible eyelid creases. Non-Asian makeup artists tend to make me look like I have two black eyes. Plus my hair normally doesn't curl at all. Ann is truly a miracle worker that is worth every penny of her somewhat expensive fee.
There were 2 other artists that morning (one for my mom and my older 5 year old daughter, the flower girl, and one for a bride doing a trial) and Ann was CLEARLY the best in the room. My mom and I even wish that we had enough time for Ann to do her and my daughter instead of having someone else do my mom. Hire Ann and you will not regret it. I am already trying to figure out when I can hire her again! -

I booked Ann Ho from http://stylesbyann.com to do my hair and makeup for my wedding. It's one of my best decisions.
Ann is someone who will give you her honest opinions and will not do something that will not look good on you. Since I have no experience with hair, the looks I want are not possible or not-good looking with my hair. She pointed out what I can get and cannot during consultation. I really like her professional feedback. I don't like the vendors who says "yeah, we can do whatever you want" because it might not be the best look for you and you will end up hating it.
I love how she did my hair. I didn't get to do the trial, and I still wasn't sure of what I want on the wedding day. Ann just asked me a few questions and she did an amazing updo for me. I didn't want a low bun, so she gave me a very modern mid-high updo that I ended up loving so much. Her styles are very modern and sophisticated, unlike most salons that will give you same old updo they've been doing since 10-20 yrs ago.
My hair stayed up intact for the whole day-night even with my veil on for most of the day. I didn't want to take it off at the end of the day.
I am comfortable with makeup and I wear heavy, crazy eye makeup on weekends, so I was worried that I might not look special or different from my own makeup. But I was wrong. I looked so different in a softer way that I don't want to look like my old look after the wedding. I want to keep looking at myself the whole day. Everytime my groom mentioned how big my eyes were on that day, I am so glad Ann did big eyes for me. hehe. I'm greedy.
Ann was very patient and took her time during the hair & makeup. She really cared about the details, and will not rush just to finish it up. She stayed until I was dressed up and helped me put the veil, and even gave me lip-cream and instructions on how to maintain the makup for the whole day.
Ann is flexible with timing and super quick in responding to emails. She's the quickest to get a response among all my other vendors. Hair & makeup by Ann Ho is worth every penny of it. It is the best money I've spent on my budget wedding. It's that worth it. Thanks Ann for making me beautiful! I am so glad that I booked you and that you are available for my day. -

I was shocked to see some 1 star reviews, but I hope that will not pass judgement until you read the rest of the reviews.
Ann's a sweetheart and definitely know what she's doing when it comes to make up. She's friendly, professional, and reasonable, She passionate and can transform anyone into anything ( I think?) :) Her work is stunning and she had an amazing team behind her. Just remember, communication is key. If you don't like something, you have to speak up. Given that her work is great, you may have different feelings about it, and as a make up artist, she will take that as constructive criticism and do something else that you will be pleased with.
I love her. She's great. Makes me look and feel good, and can make me look younger. Who wouldn't want her?! :D -

Styles by Ann is awesome... i would recommend anyone to her. Ann is down to earth, caring, and really honest about feedback she gives to you. Very personable. She made me feel very comfortable and at ease. Her pricing is reasonable with the makeup industry.
I had a good experience with Ann from beginning to end. She responds very quick to emails and is very detailed oriented. I changed my eyebrows from the time i saw her to my e-session and she noticed right away.
All in all, styles by ann is awesome and I am glad I went with her. -

Let's just say - Ann did an even BETTER job with my hair and makeup the day of the wedding. Her staff showed up on time and Ann was great to talk to. She's always so interesting to talk to so she was a much needed distraction the day of the wedding.
The day-of, I decided I wanted to change my hair from what was done at the trial. Was Ann phased? NO! And I totally trusted her to get it right even though we hadn't practiced it together before.

Had my trial with Ann from Styles by Ann. Earlier this week we confirmed the appointment and she asked me to bring my inspirational hair picture and a picture of how I normally wear my makeup. I thought I misheard her and had asked her if she meant my inspirational makeup picture too. But she told me no (I brought it anyway). When I met with her she told me how sometimes girls are so stuck on how a makeup looks on a different person that it doesnt end up looking the same on your face. She likes to usually tailor the makeup to how you normally wear your makeup but not replicate your day to day wear. Dont know if the way I explain it makes any sense but she was so right. She showed me some samples of other girls who had makeup like my inspirational pictures and it did not look like what I had imagined even though it was exactly the same kind of makeup but on a different face.
As for the hair I was so stuck on having a wavy pulled back look that I basically had 4 pics of the same style! Turns out my hair was too short and because my hair isnt normally curly it would flatten out by the roots w/in several hours and the style would be a total mess. Thank goodness for the iphone. I was able to pull up a picture from a photographer's website of a brides hair I liked and she was able to replicate the look.
I couldnt be happier with the results. Ann really knows her makeup and hair and she was so easy to talk with. We chatted the whole 2 hours! She was so fun to work with and cant wait to have her do her magic again on my wedding date!1 Previous Review: Show all »

Girls on your wedding day you don't want to look good, you want to look hella good! If you've invested in a photographer you should also invest in a good hair and makeup artist. Ann has many years of experience and quite honestly, she is a cool down to earth chick. I booked Ann because I am a major eyebrow freak-total OCD when it comes to eyebrows. I even put my non-refundable deposit down before doing a trial with her. Yes, some gave me the "holy moly" gasp and called me crazy, but that's because they never saw her portfolio on Myspace. She has tons of before and after pics. Most importantly to me, she does good natural-looking eyebrows.
I've had my makeup done many times and no one ever asked how I did my own makeup on a day to day basis- but Ann did. I think this info is important for an artist to know because you still want to look like yourself and not just some unrecognizable plastic Barbie.
On my wedding day, the original hairstylist I booked (not Ann) totally uglified my hair. I was pretty upset and was going to just take all the pins out one she left the hotel room. Ann saw how distraught I was and offered to fix my hair! I didn't even have to ask her. I can't stress enough that a bride should not skimp on hair and makeup.
Words can't explain how thankful, appreciative, relieved and happy I was to have Ann step in and help me. There is more she did, but all you yelpers need to know is that she is honest, she's good at what she does, and she is good peeps. Her phone is also sewn into her hands so that she can respond to emails with the quickness of a ninja. I heart Ann. -

My wedding photographer strongly recommended Ann Ho to me and after looking through her portfolio, I decided to go with her and it was one of the best decisions I've ever made. Ann is simply one talented makeup artist. When I had my hair/makeup trial, I brought her some pictures for reference and she not only did the styles I wanted but also did a great job. She also gave me tips on how to take care of my hair / skin to prepare for the wedding day.
On my big day, she made me such a happy bride because everyone was raving about how pretty I looked. I booked her for touchup in the afternoon also and she touched up my makeup and changed my hair style perfectly in only 30 minutes. With her strong skills and reasonable price, I would recommend her to every bride. -

When it comes to people doing my makeup, somehow I always come out either too white, or too done up with heavy eye makeup. I'm a simple eyeliner and mascara kind of person so for my wedding I wanted just a tad bit or drama to my makeup.
And Ann knows exactly what she's doing. She really does have a skill of knowing what's best for the day of. Her airbrushing was flawless and my makeup was not overdone. And it lasted right through the ceremony and reception. Not much touch up needed and I loved that!

Ann did my makeup and hair for our wedding last year, and she was really great! I don't usually wear any makeup, or at most, some foundation, but she was really helpful at the trial with helping me figure out what I needed to do to prepare for the big day, and what kind of makeup I wanted.
I was a bit apprehensive at first because it felt like a lot of makeup, but the day of, I think she got a better feel of our wedding and what I was looking for (which I didn't really know at the time), and I loved the hair and makeup the day of! Totally worth it for your wedding day! -

She was really good about responding and understanding about the chaotic weather possibly ruining the shoot (it was pretty much raining the two days right before the shoot date so I was really lucky the skies cleared up in time!).
Allow a couple of hours for her to work her magic. She's also really good with asian complexions. My skin is fairly blotchy, yes I have some acne, skin can get oily, and on top of that I'm tan. She seemed a little bit heavy-handed on the foundation and powder, but she knew the end product well (what the camera will actually capture).
She also styled my super-straight hair. My hair is so stubbornly straight that it uncurls itself on one end (even with copious amounts of hairspray or mousse in it), before I'm even done curling the other.
I was also a bit worried about getting my makeup done in the morning when the shoot wouldn't finish until around 6PM.
But I really shouldn't have.
I just got the pictures this week and I look flawless in them. I owe great thanks to Ann for doing such a great job. She matched my complicated skintone perfectly. The curls stayed well into the next night. The false eyelashes were so much fun they stayed on for 8 days before finally coming loose in a corner (I had to wash my hair upside down in the sink and my face really carefully around my eyes during those days though so they wouldn't wash off).
Did I mention yet how absolutely awesome she is? I'm now such a huge fan =D. -

My wedding was just this past weekend and I'm still getting compliments on my hair and makeup. Thanks to Ann for doing a ah-may-zing job!!! I thought that the hair and makeup trial that we did earlier this year was gorgeous, but she made me look even better the day of. (It's kinda weird talking about how good I looked, but seriously, Ann did such a fantastic job).
Now for the logistics of working with her. She was so incredibly easy to work with. She is quick to respond to email (she will answer within an hour if not quicker). If you give her your inspiration pictures, she's honest enough to tell you if it will work with your face shape, etc., and will give you great suggestions. She even got me to wear a smokey eye despite the fact that I told her it always made me look funny. I guess it just took Ann's skills to make it work. Most importantly, she is worth every penny! I'm one of those that always has a budget but is willing to pay extra for quality. Well, not only are Ann's prices reasonable (her assistants are also very reasonable), she's all about quality. -

Ann is the most PROFESSIONAL make up artist I have EVER worked with. She is reliable and her background backs up her artistic skills. I have worked with her for over 5 photoshoots including ones in Los Angeles for tearsheets in magazines.

Just got married on the 1st of August and Ann and her team did a phenomenal job! I loved loved loved my makeup and it stayed on all day long. I was a little worried that my husband wouldn't like me wearing too much makeup but he loved it and was extremely happy. I stilled looked like me but with just a little more makeup than usual! Everyone said I was glowing (from the happiness) but I think the way she put my makeup on really made my "glow" stand out! I booked her with almost a year in advance without going to anyone else because after I saw her work and her before and after pics, I just felt she would know how I wanted to look on my wedding day.
I highly recommend her and her team for their fabulous work! -

I am now married! And I am very happy with the work that Ann Ho and her team did on my wedding day. They were scheduled to arrive at our hotel at 9AM and came about 15 minutes early which really put me at ease. Ann remembered me even though our trial was over a year ago. She reproduced the exact style I wanted and I felt absolutely beautiful the whole night.
Her team did a fantastic job as well. They were in charge of the my mom, groom's mom, and my three bridesmaids. Everyone looked amazing. I was most impressed by my mom's makeover. Everyone was calling her a Hong Kong movie star!

Ann did my hair and makeup for my Aug 2010 wedding. Usually when you have someone do both hair and makeup they are usually stronger in one area - but not Ann. My makeup was flawless and my hair was perfect. Hiring Ann to do my hair and makeup was one of the best decisions I made during the wedding planning process. She's not only amazingly talented at what she does and reliable, but she's also so sweet and fun to talk to - even at the crack of dawn! I was amazed how great her memory is and how detail oriented she is - she remembered what we talked about during our trial over a year ago and made sure to give me a sample of my lipstick in a little jar so I can touch up later in the day.
My wedding day was packed from morning till night and I was worried how well my makeup would hold up, but I only needed a light touchup which my bridesmaids helped me with right before the reception. Pretty good considering I was running around outside during the wedding party photo shoot and it was really hot. At the end of the night, I was too tired to take my hair-do apart and passed out. The next morning amazingly my hair was still intact!
With Ann performing her magic on me, I felt so beautiful and doesn't everyone want to look and feel beautiful on one of the most important days of their lives? Ann offers nothing less than top notch service and skill! I have taken classes from Ann and she is the best in this industry. She is a master at updos and the best at providing clean, fresh, soft makeup where the bride still looks like themselves.
I have had my makeup done by Ann before and I know first hand that she takes her time to work with every individuals unique features and always makes everyone looked stunning. Her style of makeup really accentuates the eyes and the way she does skin leaves you flawless. Ann is the absolute master at eyebrows, which a lot of people do not realize is a very important feature that frames a persons face and it is very important to get your eyebrows done right... by Ann of course!
Future brides, I highly recommend scheduling your trial with Ann so you can see the outstanding work she provides! -

i was in a pageant last year and the makeup artist was ann and her student van. now i see ann doing makeup for weddings. the last one i saw recently was for maysie's wedding to ed. for my makeup, i thought she did such a fabulous job. i don't really wear makeup but when she finished, she had applied enough that the lights wouldn't wash out my face on stage and i still looked "normal" (to my standards, everyone else just said it looked great. i was scared i wouldn't look like me anymore, hence the reason i don't wear makeup).
at all times she's fun and professional. i definitely think she is one of the best out there, if not the best. i've seen some people make the brides look look like someone else and that's not a compliment. i think for fashion, that's ok. but for weddings, i think the makeup should be as natural looking as possible, to bring out their natural beauty. wedding days and wedding pictures are important. a good makeup artist makes my job easier. if you're not sure who to go to, definitely go to ann =] -

Ann did my make up and hair for my wedding this past Saturday and she did an AMAZING job. She definitely exceeded my expectations and everything came out better than I could have imagined. I am still getting compliments. Also, my hair stayed put the entire night and my make up didn't need touching up at all even though I cried several times throughout the day. She really knows what she is doing and I would recommend her to anyone. I really feel like Ann knows what will look good and she's very deliberate in how she works which isn't always true of all make up artists.
Not only that but Ann is the sweetest person you could ever meet. She talked to me the entire time and made me feel so comfortable and relaxed. It was like we had been friends for a long time. Thanks Ann!!! -

I had a trial with Ann for my wedding make up and was not impressed. After explaining to her what I wanted, (bridal, light make up but with a WOW factor, a little dramatic) she did a very plain smokey eye and it was exactly the same as i would get from the Mac counter. I think a great make up artist is supposed to feel and understand their client and make them as beautiful as they can be, not apply a very basic smokey eye on the same face over and over.

Without question one of the best in the industry! Ann has done the hair and makeup for some of my clients, and I'm always *very* impressed with her work. Some may find her rates on the pricier side, but if you want to look good, she's definitely more than worth it. Ann also has a very friendly and laid back personality, totally easy to talk to. Definitely recommended!

For my October 11, 2008 wedding, I booked Ann as my makeup artist and hairstylist. I normally do not wear a lot of makeup and the only thing I do with my hair is wear it down or up in a ponytail. I had some concerns about my tattoos showing in my wedding photos, as I was wearing a dress that exposed my back and Ann helped me with covering those too.
My biggest concerns were; a hairstyle that did not suit my face/body or style (for my wedding dress) and makeup that looked too heavy or did not stay put for a long enough time and would need a lot of retouching after photos, dancing, changing, eating, perspiring etc (weddings are long from start to finish).
I did not have any idea how I wanted my hair done, so I asked Ann what she would suggest given the shape of my face, my hair length, my height, my neck/shoulder type and my dress style and went with her suggestion.
After Ann did my makeup trial, I went out to lunch with my girlfriends and my then-fiance. They loved her work and I booked her the same day. Load of stress off my shoulders!
Ann gave me a few suggestions and tips on what to do before my wedding day. I had my long hair layered and when Ann arrived the day of my wedding to work with me, everything went very smoothly.
I must say that Ann is very easy to work with, she was very punctual, completely prepared and worked with ease even with all the commotion and fuss in the house (lots of people including relatives, children, barking dogs and bridal party members running around trying to get things together). I did not feel rushed or bored. I felt very at ease working with Ann. Like someone else said, she does not pressure you to purchase more services than you want. I would always recommend the trial session though. It gives both the artist and the bride/client a chance to see what they are working with and to 'tweak' things for the big day.
When Ann was done my hair and makeup were perfect. The makeup did not look or feel overdone/heavy. It was better than natural, fresh/clean and beautiful! The makeup stayed put for over 13 hours, and that is even after dancing! I didn't need to reapply! I got compliments from everyone, including the most brutal critics in my circle of friends and family members. So far everyone who sees my wedding pictures has also compliment me on my hair and makeup. They even asked for her website/contact info. That's when you know the makeup artist you chose rocks!
Without hesitation, I would confidently and highly recommend Ann. I am definitely looking forward to booking her for future events. -

My most favorite make up artist. She knows everything about make up and can do hair exactly how you want it. I can always depend on Ann for a flawless look and she is my official MUA. She is professional, dependable, nice and really focus on every detail of your look. She really pays attention to what your requesting and can create that look without a problem. "As good as it gets" says it all. Ann is amazing. Her work is superb. She books up really fast so if you are searching for a makeup artist, make sure you book Ann. You have got to try her out. She is worth every $$$.
