Ann is the most PROFESSIONAL make up artist I have EVER worked with. She is reliable and her background backs up her artistic skills. I have worked with her for over 5 photoshoots including ones in Los Angeles for tearsheets in magazines.
I have referred her to several other photographers in Norcal and Socal. She is priceless and I would book her again.
Because she is the most desired, she is always booked, so book in advance.
ann is awesome! she really knows how to make you over just right...enough, but not too much. she's very professional but personable at the same time. you can tell that she really enjoys her work!
she did my makeup and hair for my wedding - received sooooo many compliments. made me feel and look gorgeous! she is a bit pricey but well worth it, especially since wedding makeup/hair needs to last all day. she's very receptive to your ideas and will do exactly what you want. At the same time if something doesnt work, she'll be honest with you and let you know.
when i was getting ready for my big day, i felt soooo comfortable because ann was doing my makeup and hair. the day of final product was even better than the trial i did with her.
she was also very accomodating with my last minute additions of my bridal party's hair/makeup...brought in an assistant to help her and got everyone done on time! THANKS ann!
Just got married on the 1st of August and Ann and her team did a phenomenal job! I loved loved loved my makeup and it stayed on all day long. I was a little worried that my husband wouldn't like me wearing too much makeup but he loved it and was extremely happy. I stilled looked like me but with just a little more makeup than usual! Everyone said I was glowing (from the happiness) but I think the way she put my makeup on really made my "glow" stand out! I booked her with almost a year in advance without going to anyone else because after I saw her work and her before and after pics, I just felt she would know how I wanted to look on my wedding day.
I highly recommend her and her team for their fabulous work!
I take hair and make up class with Ann Ho and am grateful I found her. She's very detail oriented and truly know hair and makeup. Ann never sells you her service that you don't need and will help you in anyway she could. She's a great instructor and highly talented makeup artist. Ann is great with both hair and makeup.
I witness her works many time and it is just flawless!!! She does amazing jobs on brides and fashion. With a background in fashion design, Ann is also highly creative. I love her work (both in swimming suit design and makeup).
Also, if you are looking for a class (professional or just for yourself), I highly recommend Ann Ho.
Ann, she is the best hair expert in her own city, actually I did not know about her, one of my best friend told me about her after that I took a chance to go there, I need a lovely hair style & beleive me she gives me a different look. she is a very good professionalist. She is expert in her work. she is A1 I would say. services within your pocket.
I had a trial with Ann for my wedding make up and was not impressed. After explaining to her what I wanted, (bridal, light make up but with a WOW factor, a little dramatic) she did a very plain smokey eye and it was exactly the same as i would get from the Mac counter. I think a great make up artist is supposed to feel and understand their client and make them as beautiful as they can be, not apply a very basic smokey eye on the same face over and over.
i am sorry, but I was not impressed.
Ann is the sweetest person ever!!! I was frantically looking for someone to do my makeup and hair for my wedding one month before my big day. And boy was I lucky to find her. She takes her time in getting to know you and makes great suggestions on what type of makeup and hair looks good unique to the bride. I was very pleased by the way I looked and how professional she was the whole time. She also found additional artists for my bridesmaids to do their hair and makeup a week before the wedding. Ann is extremely reliable and I was so lucky to find someone that comes through with my last minute planning. On the day of and even until this day, my friends and family still comment on how fabulous I looked that day, and I know it was because Ann brought out the best in me! Thank you so much ANN!!!! You truly are the best!!!

My now sister-in-law looked gorgeous! Ann styled her hair beautifully: long and full. And her makeup was flawless!

im just looking at my wedding video and my wedding photos and i cant even begin to give ann enough props. she did an AMAZONG job...i absolutely loved my hair and makeup. lilterally ann made me feel like the most beautiful woman in the world on my wedding day. i felt amazing!

What can I say about Ann and her talent? She made me beautiful. She made me feel like a princess on my wedding day.
The only make up I wear is tinted lip balm and mascara. I was weary about having a caked on face that did not look like me. But Ann a fabulous job that I felt like I had no make up on at all. She made me look radiant.
From our consultation, emails, my wedding day and even to this day. Ann never gave the impression of being in a "contract" situation, but more like a friend. Give her your opinions and she'll work around your needs. Show her some photos of what you wish your hair style would look like, and she'll make the hairstyle YOURS.
Absolutely recommend Ann to make your day extra beautiful. Ann is great....

I am now married! And I am very happy with the work that Ann Ho and her team did on my wedding day. They were scheduled to arrive at our hotel at 9AM and came about 15 minutes early which really put me at ease. Ann remembered me even though our trial was over a year ago. She reproduced the exact style I wanted and I felt absolutely beautiful the whole night.
Her team did a fantastic job as well. They were in charge of the my mom, groom's mom, and my three bridesmaids. Everyone looked amazing. I was most impressed by my mom's makeover. Everyone was calling her a Hong Kong movie star!
You definitely don't have to worry if you hire Ann. She's professional, she's experienced, and she will work hard to give you the look that you want.

I had my MU and hair trial with Ann the other day, and as you can see by the photo I posted, she did an amazing job! I'm like the other girls who posted a review for Ann: I don't wear makeup on a regular basis, and when I do, I have to employ the services of my friend to do it for me. I can only apply lipstick!
Ann was very friendly, informative, knowledgeable, and great to talk to! I told her what I wanted, and she listened and gave me great advice. Her technique for applying make up was well executed on me. I like it when I am told and explained what is being done on me so I understand the process and how the end results was achieved.
I am planning on booking her for my wedding,, and I suggest you do so if you are looking for a great hair and MU artist!
Without question one of the best in the industry! Ann has done the hair and makeup for some of my clients, and I'm always *very* impressed with her work. Some may find her rates on the pricier side, but if you want to look good, she's definitely more than worth it. Ann also has a very friendly and laid back personality, totally easy to talk to. Definitely recommended!
I can't live without this girl! She is the best best best!! I have gotten my hair and makeup done by Ann for several special occasions and I can't say enough good things about her.
She's very professional, punctual, and has a lot of experience. She can work with any look that you're going for and make you feel like a million bucks! I was almost 9 months pregnant for 2 of the events and not feeling so good about myself. But I was so happy with my makeup and hair that I would of walked down a runway with my big fat belly and would have felt like the hottest girl.
I have gotten my hair and makeup done at supposedly the best places around the bay area, but I've never been as happy with the results as I was with Ann.
Ann did my make-up for my September 13th wedding, and she did a spectacular job! The great thing about Ann is that she listens to your likes/dislikes and will put on as much or as little as you want on your face. I'm not used to wearing make-up, so I wanted something as natural as possible, but enough so that my face wouldn't wash out in the pictures. On my wedding day, everyone commented on how beautiful I looked and even today I still get many compliments when people look at my pictures from the event.
One of the things I also appreciate very much about Ann is that she doesn't pressure you to book as many services from her as possible so she can charge you a huge sum of money for her work. This is something I felt other wedding vendors were sometimes trying to do (other make-up artists, videographer, bridal gown shops, etc.), and I am so grateful that Ann is not like that. She genuinely cares about her work and really enjoys doing people's make-up. She's an easy-going person who not only does beautiful work, but is also cool to be around. I highly recommend Ann for a great make-up experience.
Ann does amazing work with makeup and hair. As a photographer, its always nice to have the person you are photographing look their best, and Ann made my job much easier. I would recommend her to anyone who is planning on getting married, she does a great job!
Incredible. Ann's work is beautiful, modern, and flawless. I was so happy and relieved to have Ann be my makeup artist. I would recommend her without reservation to anyone who wants to look stunning on their wedding day. She is professional, talented, and very very good at what she does!
Ann did my hair and makeup for my wedding at Grace Cathedral in San Francisco. She did a fantastic job!! Not only did she offer a few practice sessions beforehand, but when she did my bridesmaids they looked gorgeous too. She is also very personable and will give suggestions about what is the most flattering for you, but won't make you feel awkward if you decide to go with something else. Ann has worked on many faces, so she can immediately tell by the shape of your face, eyebrows, and eyes how best to apply makeup. She'll also give a few tips for applying makeup. I would highly recommend her.
My most favorite make up artist. She knows everything about make up and can do hair exactly how you want it. I can always depend on Ann for a flawless look and she is my official MUA. She is professional, dependable, nice and really focus on every detail of your look. She really pays attention to what your requesting and can create that look without a problem. Ann did my hair + make-up for my wedding on 9/1/2008, she made me look absolutely stunning and I got soo many compliments that night. When I came for my trial I kept telling her I wanted very light and natural make-up since I normally don't wear much make-up and don't have any variations with my hair. She convinced me to wear more than normal and showed me the results in the photos. She was so helpful during my selection of hair combs, veil, and hair style. I would send her pictures of hair combs or hair pins and she would let me know what looks good with what hairstyle. She was truly amazing and my advice to future brides is take Ann's advice because she knows what she's doing!
Ann did make up and hair for my Vietnamese wedding with an ao dai and headdress and my Caucasion wedding in my Vera Wang dress. I was only going to use her for my Vietnamese wedding but my father in-law insisted that I use her for the white wedding and paid the difference. My mother-in-law wants Ann to do her makeup if she has an open casket funeral - morbid thought, but flattering nonetheless. Ann is the best!!!

You will see how she turned not so attractive looking girls into beauty queens. I will definitely refer all my friends looking to get married this wedding season to her. Not only is her work great, but she is a very people-person that is easy to get along with.
I saw Ann's work on myspace and thought it was good, but never thought how awesome she is to work with also. Working with a great person really helps. I've gone to places that do great jobs, but offer crappy service. Ann has been doing makeup and hair for over 10 years and is very professional and experienced in this field. She can make you look like whatever type you are looking for. Whether it maybe sweet, punk, high fashion, pin-up, sexy, etc... She also sells these great false lashes for a great price. When i purchased them, she took the time out to help me cut them to fit my eyes and also how to apply them on. You've got to try these lashes out. I high recommend Ann.
Ann did a fantastic job for my sister wedding. Her style is very modern but yet elegant. Ann, you know that I'm booking you for my own wedding right...that if I ever get marry...hehe.
I volunteered to help Ann, the make-up artist, to have my hair and make-up done along with four other models. I've never modeled before or had anything done like this before but I saw this as a great learning opportunity. And boy did I learn! I was amazed at how many looks she was able to produce with each of us without removing any make-up. The way she applies make-up is fantastic and quick! If you need your make-up done beautifully and with a glamours look, I would highly suggest booking her.
I've taken both the makeup & hair class from Ann. These are great classes! They are hands-on with real models, which you do not get with other makeup classes. I learned lots of very useful tricks and tips from Ann.
