too much clothes = crowded!
It's everything I'd expect from a place called "Style Express," and more. This store is definitely the kid sister to Forever 21 and Charlotte Russe- trying so hard to be similar in style and quantity of different styles as these bigger name places... But for an independenly operated place, I find it quite satisfactory. There are racks and racks of all types of clothes- they've got everything from jeans and casual wear to clubwear, and even sweats. (very cheap shoes too). I come here when I'm either in a hurry or am just too lazy to go to the mall, or when I don't want to pay a lot for an outfit I might never wear again (read: clubwear, also read: pasties for clubwear). Just stay away from the jewelry and clearance racks. There's a reason why these items are usually no more than 3 bucks a pop (!)
And I recently went to an 80's party- I found all my tacky 80's items here. (it's up to you whether this is a good thing!)
I stumbled upon this store on my way to sitnsleep (mattress store) and decided to stop in. At first glance, it looked like a forever21 but with cheaper clothes if that makes any sense at all? The clothes don't look to be of high quality. Sort of like "wear once and toss" quality. The types of items you'll find in here are the cheaper vegas "hoochie mama" gear which I'm not opposed to wearing when I'm in Vegas, but I'd prefer tohave a bit of style and class. They didn't have much inventory when I was there so I'm going to guess that they get shipment in once a month. In any case, if you're looking for cheap clothes for a night in hollywood or vegas then you've come to the right spot.
Definitely worth the visit and extremely affordable.
Kinda like a forever 21, but not as messy. Prices are pretty damn good and they carry clothes that you would find in cute boutiques. I would definitely go back again.
I usually come here when I need something quick to wear and if I am bored just staying at my boyfriend's place. They have really cute clubbing/vegas dresses here. You can find a really flamboyant dress here for a vegas weekend trip and find it for real cheap too!
My only problem here is that I can't really find anything I would wear on a regular basis thats cute (i.e for school, to a bar, to the movies, on a date, etc). Maybe something that I would wear around the house or to go workout or something, but other then that its hard to find something cute (if you are not going clubbing or to vegas). I prefer forever 21, H&M, melrose shops for cute tops.
I would give this place a 2.5 stars but it won't let me, so I'll just round up! =)
I've shopped here a lot with my friend Eva and occasionally my friend Sara. Good jeans and cute summer tops and cheap.... you can leave here with a couple of bags of stuff for 200 bucks and that's your summer wardrobe. It's pretty generic.... think melrose....but the jeans actually hold up and the clothes are cute. I've never run into that horribly uncomfortable situation where you are wearing the same top as someone else at whatever venue you end up at. So I can't complain, except that I live in WeHo and Style Express is in Palms. I guess I should head over there now since I have nothing to wear!
If I am in need of a new last-minute outfit and I can't go to the mall, I go here. The clothes range from really bad cheap quality to cute dresses. Some clothing here you can get at the fashion district from downtown so I don't think it's worth the price. However, they have really cheap shoes that are actually comfortable most times.
I like this place. They have good shoes. Sometimes good clothes. I can find things every now and then. I still like going.
Shoes! Glorious shoes! Style Expess is NOT Styles for Less...and thank God! Sure, the clothing here is pretty crappy, but it's actually better than the crap at Styles for Less. Also, if you know how to shop you can leave with some amazing finds...like cute shoes! Whenever I am in town I get bunches of $10-$15 shoes and take them back to Northern California with me. They can cost two to three times as much out here!
A lot of the everyday clothes are pretty cheap looking and more appropriate for a twelve year old than for adult women. However, they have pretty cheap basics like t-shirts, tanks, and sweats. V-neck tees are only about $5 and I've had a couple for over a year and they still look fine (they're the tight, stretchy kind but a nice length). They have some cute trendy tops all the time, and I usually go for the selection of dresses--at forever 21 there never seems to be a large selection of cute dresses when I need them, so I turn here instead (warning- some of the dresses can run pretty short, so this might not be a good idea if you're taller). My favorite thing about this store is the shoes though---I'm definitely willing to get the latest trend in shoes if it'll only cost about $20 or less. I've only bought two pairs of heels here, but definitely would have bought a ton more if I didn't have narrow heels that make a lot of shoes slip off my feet. The return policy is really limited, so if you're not quite sure about the item, don't get it.
looks cheesy from the outside...hell, looks cheesy on the inside too, but sometimes, i find the greatest dresses here. like stunning. people comment on them all the time when i wear them. some shmuck even asked if it was chanel. go figure.
