I'll be honest I probably couldn't tell the difference between Stuft Pizza, a pie from Italy or frozen pizza, but the reason I rate this place so high is the local, accomodating feel and friendly banter with the employees.
Having just relocated back into the area unemployed and with plenty of free time, I find myself mozying over to Stuft Pizza for a mug and a slice -- which is plenty satisfying. Respectable beers on tap and a salad bar (which I would never touch, but that's just me). The manager's a real cool guy. I'd always dreamt being in a place like Cheers, the tv show, and this is probably the closest I'll get in Milpitas, CA.
So if you're looking for pizza, beer, sports and an unghetto crowd. Come over here. Conveniently, if your asian girlfriend or mother-in-law doesn't feel like pizza, there's a Vietnamese restaurant next door.
Saturday afternoon after signing our boys up for tae kwon do we stopped off at Stuft Pizza for some lunch. We were planning to sign the boys up for soccer but decided not too as the practice day and time would conflict with the boys set tae kwon do schedule.
My husband ordered a large pizza. Half Hawaiian and Cornucopia pizza. He also paid for salad bar. The pizza was good. Stuft Pizza is very generous with their toppings. Prices are reasonable. -1 star for not having unlimited salad bar like other pizza joints :\

Sports - the great unifier of friends and food. This is the place to go in Milpitas (other than DNB) to watch sports in HD and eat pizza. The food is honestly as average as it gets. Nothing special bout the pizzas, the wings, the calzones (had them all, neither hate nor love them - everything is 3 stars and could be tastier), but the environment for sports is great. TV's in every corner (though during playoff times you have to come early to get seats, call them to see if they have room, otherwise run to DNB for non-hd and small screens without sound yuck). 3.5 stars just for sports viewing factors.
Helping my friend move into her newly purchased home was the best decision I could have made this past Sunday. Why you ask? The answer: our day ended at Stuft Pizza! (Ok, helping her move was also good exercise and it was exciting to check out the new digs.)
I have to say, I was most interested in the beer selection...and I was not disappointed. They had lots to choose from on tap! (I didn't notice if they also had bottled beer, sorry.) The pizza was good too. We just went with the basic pepperoni and hawaiian...both were good, more than good actually...maybe one of the best I've had in the area?... A little on the greasy side but good nonetheless! The salad bar was pretty good, lots of toppings to choose from and it all seemed pretty fresh.
The restaurant itself is pretty neat too, there are lots of big screen TVs hung up around the room and there is also an entire wall of big screen TVs at one end of the room. There were not many exciting sporting events to watch while we were there, but I heard that they have all the hookups to watch anything from NHL (GO SHARKS!) to WNBA, to MLB, to NFL...you get the idea. Sweet if you ask me.
The employees there could be a little friendlier, and a bit more helpful when questions are asked but the service didn't really effect the experience too much. Maybe after we downed 4 pitchers of beer the lackluster service was barely noticeable....
I'd go back and give it another go.
I went here late at night. It was crowded and me and my friends were forced to take an open table, that still had the previous people's leftovers and dishes. Disgusting. The place is full of fat, loud white people, btw. Good thing is that it had lots of different sports on all of its TV's. All 20 of them it seems.
The pizza itself was made very fast, but it is vety plain, nothing special. One of the pizzas we ordered (Cornucopia) had an overcooked crust. The only food I liked there was the cheese bread. It had very good cheese
OKAY SERIOUSLY YOU GUYS HAVE TO READ THIS. OWNER OF THIS PLACE PAID OFF TO HAVE MY REVIEW (AND SOME OTHERS) DELETED BECAUSE I GAVE MY HONEST OPINION OF THIS ESTABLISHMENT!
I wrote a decent review on this place, and it was my honest opinion. I didn't bash on this place nor did I anything indecent or malicious. Yelp IS a place where people can gather and share their thoughts on various establishments and get recommendations for places to eat/go. That's what I love about this site, HONEST OPINIONS BY REAL PEOPLE. Now it makes me think about how many other establishments have done the same to entice customers walking through their doors.
Because I found this out, I would NEVER walk into this establishment ever again. It is disrespectful to me and my rights of FREE SPEECH. All I can say is: karma. What goes around, comes around.
And as a note to the owner -- I'm saving this and reposting it if I find that my entry has been deleted. People should be aware of ALL reviews and judge for themselves whether or not to try your establishment.

I thought this place better be good if I'm gonna break my gluten-free diet for a couple of slices. I would have given 5 stars but they were slow on fresh pizza.
Me and some friends/co-workers went her for lunch and it wasn't busy. Which was cool but that could have been the factor that there were only 3-4 slices of pizza in the pizza turner.
We made our salad and ate...still no fresh pizza. UGH
Finally they brought it out and the wait was cool becuase I mean who else wouldn't love fresh hot piping pizza?
It was thick and doughy (hey like me!...and i love me). The sauce was good too. I had 1 slice Combo and 1 slice Pep/Cheese.
I'll def be back again sometime! And I hope they add either Unsweetened Ice Tea or Minute Maid light.
Whenever my husband and I come back to the Bay Area, we always make a stop here. It's around the corner from the 'rents and for some odd reason, our friends LOVE going to this place.
It has one thing that I hate - their tables are dirty and they are slow to bus them. That's ok. There's a reason why I carry a packet of baby wipes in my purse - it's so I can wipe down tables and sit in a place people were too lazy to clean off if they really wanted the booth/table. Even that can't knock it down to 4 stars. It still gets 5 from me.
We know the workers there and when they see my husband, it's always, "We got a new beer and we hope you like it." It's that kind of place. Plus, they've got good beer...or so he and our friends say. They're all beer snobs so I will take their word for it.
The pizza at this place is wonderful. I love the crust - it's nice and fluffy on the edges, but it's not a thick crust throughout. I don't know how they get the edges to be so light and fluffy. I love their dough. It tastes like it's made everyday, not from a package. The ingredients are also a key thing here - everything is fresh and not from a can. The mushrooms are cut there as are the bell peppers and the onions.
The atmosphere can get loud and rowdy, but what can you expect from a place that serves good pizza, good beer and has about a dozen TVs so that even the most discerning sports lover will find something to watch?
Lunch is something pretty cool, too. You can eat at their all you can eat salad bar and when I last looked at the price for a 4 slice pizza lunch it was $5.
I know I'm biased in this review - I've been going to this place for almost half my life...and it's been a great time.

I had Stuft Pizza before and overall its not bad. They are freshly made and come in different toppings. Great place to pick up something quick for dinner. If you want a salad you have to go and build it yourself from the salad bar. There crust is fresh and soft, not to thick as some other places. Overall its not a bad pizza.

I am so freegin' tired. We had Noah's bagels for breakfast, and Stuft Pizza for lunch, and leftover Stuft Pizza for dinner. And lots of fruit and veggie tray food in-between.
I'm sick of pizza, it was okay, nothing fantastic. Seemed like it had everything on these pizzas which is not my fav, but can't complain, it was food and we had to eat. And I drank about a gallon of Starbucks coffee... first hot, then warm, then alot cold.
20 hours straight... its brutal. Picking at cold pizza like stray dogs dig through the trash. Woof!

We stayed at the embassy suites about 2 miles away and decided to go with this pizza for a late night dinner since it had about the best rating on yelp in our visinity. They don't deliver pass nine so I had to drive there to pick it up, but I didn't mind. They had about 20 big screens all over the place which I though was cool cause I'm a big sports fan. We ordered a small cornucopia, and a small cheese for the kids. Got back to the telly and munched it down. I give em 3 1/2 stars. Too much dough but I love all the extra meat. I got a side of sauce cause I like to dip my ends in it. I thought the sauce was just ok. I like mine very tangy. Overall just ok...
After a long day, I decided to try Stuft Pizza. I ordered a medium Hawaiian and medium pepperoni for pick up for my family and I. The pizza's were ready in 20 mins. When I got home and tried the pizza I was disappointed. The crust was bland and the pizza really didn't have any special taste to it. I don't know it just did not appeal to me.
Wanna make the guys (and you) happy? Go to Stuft Pizza... they have yummy pizza and chicken wings, pitchers of beer and lot's of flat screen TV's around with a variety of sports games blaring out of them.
We ended up here for my boyfriend's birthday the other night and man, was HE happy! There were 3, count them THREE, games on that he wanted to watch at the same time... the Sharks and some others... I think Yao was playing... idonnobutYaorocks... anyway, he was as happy as it gets for sports and food.
Basically, we ordered 3 x-large pizza's; The Stuft Speciality (which was the favorite), some Chicken pizza (which was also good) and then an all-meat pizza (which I didn't try but others liked). The next time I go though, I'm getting the Valentino. That's exactly my taste!
Notes: So, I'm checking out their website right now and it doesn't list beer but I'm sure they have it. Also, they have some great coupons listed so print them out before you go! I'll definitely do that when I go back. http://www.stuftpizzah.../
They were cool with us bringing in our own birthday cake. They employees were nice, even gave us lil bowls and fresh forks to eat it with.
Oh yeah, they also have a many salad options and a bar thingy, calzones, sandwiches, and various appetizers and desserts.
See ya there!
(It's tucked across and back from Burger King, right off the 680 and Montague.)

Stuft Pizza has good pizza! The first time I tried its pizza, I got the BBQ Chicken, which was exactly how I expected my pizza to be: warm and delicious. The ingredients were fresh and the sauce was piping hot. I didn't wait too long for the pizza to be made either. If I weren't so hungry that day, it wouldn't have mattered how long I had to wait since there were plenty of TVs to keep me distracted. My only complaint would be that on the night I decided to go, all the big TVs were playing the hockey game instead of the basketball game I intended on watching. More variety would have been nice.
Just tonight, I tried a pizza topped with chicken and mushrooms, and I was pleased with the amount of chicken on it! I plan on going back to Stuft Pizza to try some new topping combinations, to drink some beer, and of course, to watch some sports.

Great service, fair prices, and delicious pizza. Whenever my family goes here (usually a 12 person minimum) we get the usual pizzas, wings, and garlic cheese breads. The food comes out fairly fast and the people that work here are great too.
I moved from Milpitas some 8 years ago and just forgot about this place, and just how yummy the pizza is...
If you love thick crust pizza this is your place. Its tasty sauce, excellent meats and delicious veggies really hit the spot after a day of fighting the Christmas shoppers at the Great Mall of the bay Area. And so did the beer.
They have undergone a major renovation by adding some 10+ flat screen tv's. With an impressive 60+ incher over the salad bar.
They also have a good verity of beers with a couple of there very own micro brews.

The rating system is pretty correct - It's just OK, at best (for their pizza).
H (My Luv), D and I went over here to watch one of the football games and grub on some food and beer. I can't recall the whose team was playing - but I'm a girl, I don't care - All I care is that there is wings and beer involved.
We ordered the Jalapeno Poppers, Sampler platter and half Lemon Chicken and Hawaiian pizza.
I have to give them possibly 4 stars on the Sampler and the Poppers because those were actually quite tasty and came out piping hot. The fries were cut as steak fries, which are my favorite. The pizza, however, was much less desirable. It was pretty much just all bread to me - I don't like pizza like that - No a lot of cheese and it tasted like it wasn't cooked thoroughly. Everything was devoured, though, I think it was because the boys were starving and they really don't give 2 hoots if food is good or not if they have rumbling tummy's.
Beer was good - Newcastle pitcher - but then again, when is beer not good?!?! I liked the set up of the place - It's pretty clean and they had about 13 TV's and a huge big screen in the middle of the bar so everyone could see.
Overall, I would probably come check out this place again if a game was on since their pitchers were pretty big - I may give them a 2nd chance on the pizza but I am pretty happy with the Sampler by itself.

Yummy thick crust pizza. MMM. Everything is good, but make sure to get the red/pesto sauce. It's so good!!
There is a good selection of beers on tap, including Stuft Pizza's own beer. It's decent, but I usually stick to the popular beers.
There's a salad bar, usually stocked with fresh veggies and toppings.
There's plenty of seating and flat screen TVs all over the place, so all the seats are good.
Lunch special kinda sucks, stick to ordering pizza. Unlike some thick crust pizza, the pizza here delivers well and you don't have to worry about it going soggy on you.
Awesome location to hang out. They have tons of flat panel tvs on location playing some sport games.
I really enjoy their pizzas and food. I dont have any specific recommendation but most of their food is top notch. I always also have a helping of garlic bread on the side.
I came up on Stuft Pizza with some friends tonight to watch the Warriors game. I would normally watch the games at home, but this particular game was only available with NBA League Pass; something that Stuft Pizza has.
The atmosphere here is extremely nice. They must have remodeled recently, because there are flat panel TV's galore. The main wall features 7 large screens around one VERY Large screen, and it looks more like the sportsbook at a Vegas Casino than the back wall of a pizza joint. Hanging on the adjacent walls were several more TV's; there was even a 60 incher hanging above the salad bar! In terms of electronics setup, this place is very well suited for sporting events.
As for the food, well, I didn't actually eat anything; I just ordered a pint of Hefewizen and a soda. But I can say that the joint was rather busy (with dine-ins and take outs), and everyone seemed to be enjoying their food. My buddies ordered various items, from pizzas to buffalo wings, to chicken strips. The pizza came quite quickly, but the wings took almost an hour. I suppose one could blame the long wait on the large crowd, but most of the people inside had already gotten their food while we were waiting for our wings. The wings were good (as I'm told), but the smallish portions and the long wait most definitely took away from the overall awesomeness. Good beer though...the cashier didn't even want to check my I.D.; I had to straight up ask if he wanted to see it, at which point he replied, "sure."
Good: Large TV's, and plenty of them. Warm and friendly atmosphere and staff. Decent prices.
Opposite of Good: Service can be slow depending on what is ordered. Seating is limited if the Warriors, Giants, A's, and Sharks are all playing on the same day.
Verdict: Recommended if you don't mind waiting a few minutes for your food while you watch the game.
hey hey yelpers
I used to live near this particular pizza joint. I've always been living off the coupons that are sent to us periodically. Sadly, I don't live near here anymore and I miss it so dearly. The pizza is great, a lot better than pizza hut or little cesars. I always end up ordering their supreme type pizza in their large size, always a winner. This pizza is comparable to Pizza California, the new pizza joint that I live near. The pizza is great but pricey, thus the coupons
viva la Stuft pizza!
Much love. I always call ahead from work and pick it up on the way home. I have to reheat it by the time I get home, of course. But that's traffic's fault, not Stuft Pizza's! It's always delicious and if you need to reheat, I recommend you reheat it in your oven not the microwave. It will taste exactly the same as it did when it was fresh out of their oven.

Manager is super cool and the place is amazing. At least 15 flat screen TV's. Have all the sports games on. Great place to watch any sport. The pizza is amazing too. I would recommend the garlic bread and ask them to put cheese on it..... AMAZING!!!
I LOVE THIS PIZZA!! I've been a fan for years (9 years). The lunch combo is reasonable, 2 slices, the salad bar and a soda for $7. But my favorite is the Tuesday special, a large pizza for $10.99, that's a steal!! I eat here probably 4 times a month or more. I just can't get enough. I also like all the T.V's they have in the parlor b/c you can watch so many games and enjoy the food. Don't miss out... go get a slice.
Really good Pizza!!! We order this for our office at work several times a month and we can't get enough. Go for the Cornucopia and you'll be in combination pizza heaven!!!

I love this place... the pizza is yummy yummy yummy and the service is pretty good. All I know is there are TVs everywhere I look and the pizza is great with a beer, so I'm happy and will keep coming back
My brother and I herd about this place from yelp wanted to try it out. Must say i give them a 10 out of 10 on the HDTV's they have surrounding the place, keeps the place lively and family friendly if you want to watch the game. However , the staff is very unknowledgeable on the menu and info about the restaurant. We ordered the Tuesday Special 1 large for $10.99 half red onion and bell pepper. Onions were amazing but bell pepper for some reason tasted like dirt as if they were not washed properly! The pizza dough is wayyy to thick but i guess that's why they call it STUFT PIZZA. Some one needs to introduce them to thin crust or at least a normal pan. Have not tried anything else from the menu but am willing to see what they have in store!! To conclude, great atmosphere if you LOVE TO WATCH SPORTS IN HD!! :)
Stop by one day with a couple co-workers, we had the special. Over all the pizza was hearty, tons of meat and toppings. The crust and cheese was perfectly toasted. One of the best local pizza spots I have been to in a while.
I recommend the "Garlic Lemon Chicken." The pizzas look small, but you get surprisingly full because the slices are thick and they're somewhat generous with the toppings.
I usually LOVE combination pizzas and am, admittedly, a topping whore. But, for some reason I wasn't feelin' the "Cornucopia." Maybe I was full, or maybe Stuft exceeded the normal topping limit? I'll go with the former.
We also ordered some appetizers: the sampler (chicken wings, potato wedges, and crispy mozzarella sticks) and bread sticks, which I recommend you do not do. We got too full too fast. I wasn't able to pig out on pizza and enjoy the "Cornucopia."
They have so many specialty combination pizzas that I have to try. I WILL BE BACK!
If you like pizza and sports, this is the place to be!! I was able to watch both my favorite teams at the same time - Houston Rockets and Milwaukee Bucks and San Jose Sharks. There are TV screens with sports everywhere! I hear on football sundays, all the games on shown on one wall. About the pizza? i forget how the pizza tasted like. doesn't matter when you're preoccupied with sports. If any of you wanna try the pizzas with me - let me know.

Easy, cheap place to have a big banquet or party. The pizza is pizza!
Garlic Lemon Chicken. Never a let down. Goes perfectly with a fat tire beer. Cheese cravings? Try the stuft mozzarella sticks. mmmmmm!!
The service was bad. It took a very long time to get a pizza. The pizza was bad. The dough was still raw. So how could I eat it? No response from the manager. Tried to apply for a job many months later. Don't even try. Tried to call the boss a couple of times. The boss is never around.

this place has it good days and its bad days
its your typical pizza joint
they care more about making money on the beer the quality of the pizza here
i wouldnt go here unless you are right in the area and have a pizza craving
Very good pizza. Good crust and lots of toppings. Delivery can be pretty long of a wait compaired to Round Table located across the street. With that said, we usually order for pick up and that is FAST.... usually within 20 minutes.
Do not get their STUFT SPECIAL pizza....it looks and tastes like costco pizza for $11 less....plus the prices here in this store is about 30% more expensive than their other store in santa clara...maybe because of the overhead...but i remember the pizza from the santa clara store is much more tastier than over here....
