What a treat to come back to Studio 54 to see Carrie Fisher's "Wishful Drinking" today! As someone who was too young to enjoy the antics that took place here in the 1970s, I am simply happy to walk around this historic building and wonder (ahem) just what all occurred here. The lobby, with its grand chandeliers, is just stunning.

I also saw "Sunday in the Park with George" at this venue last year and had a horrible experience in the mezzanine. There is no leg room in this section of the theater. My six-foot-tall guest was so uncomfortable; her knees were pressed against the row in front of her. Everyone around us in the mezzanine constantly shifted in their seats; it really did affect my theater-going experience.

Luckily, I knew this when I purchased tickets to today's performance and admit I was elated for the extra room upon realizing the seats around me were empty.

That said, I celebrate everything that Roundabout brings to the stage and fully intend to continue supporting this important nonprofit Broadway theater company.

(This review is postdated roughly 8 months or so; I'm really just that tardy/lazy/a horrible horrible Yelper.)

Saw a show there -- at least I think I did, all I really remember was holy crap this seat is so friggin' tight.

But yeah, the interior was really quite nice, granted not as nice as my leopard print polyester suit with platform shoes. Don't hate on mah style, this is STUDIO 54, is it not?

Don't tell me disco is dead. Don't be ignorant. Dare to dream, okay? Disco is not dead if it lives in our hearts. Don't bury your love for it in your afro.

Wait, you don't even have an afro anymore?

Disco is dead.

(If this review doesn't make any sense, it's because you don't have disco drugs in your system dum dum! I'm talking disco speak in disco dialect! Go snort something slack attack!)

I've watched Wishful Drinking with Carrie Fisher. She was really funny.
The place has a good size, we seated in the first row at the mezzanine and the view was great.
The theater seems a little bit out of date, in need of a few renovations, but at the same time is nice to be in the same place as Studio 54!

Great theatre.  Not pretentious.  Thank godness for the ghosts of Studio 54!  I saw "Wishful Drinking" with Carrie Fisher.  She was hilarious, and the play gets a thumbs up!  The $11.50 price tag, for a cup of Coke, peanut M&M's, and Terra Chips, does not.  Damn you,  intermission!  I had a lovely time and theatre prices made me sad.  I should haved waited until dinner.

Overall, great experience.  I can't wait to go back!

We saw Carrie Fisher 's Wishful Drinking, which was a laughfest.  You could hear subway rumble beneath  the theater every now and then.  .    Also it cracked me up that we could not bring a few ounces of wine to our seats.  I mean when you consider what went on in that balcony years ago, it seems crazy that now you cannot bring a plastic cup of wine to your seat!!! The theater has seen better days, but  ti was kind of cool knowing the history of the place.

Why I like this place? It's rich with history and the theatre itself is quite beautiful. What I'm not wild about as with most old theatres the seats are pretty tiny and not that comfortable. However since it is such a small venue almost every seat has a great view of the stage (we sat in the Mezzanine). Plenty of bathrooms which made me happy and the staff are very efficient help getting you to your seat/coraling you in.

Saw Waiting for Godot here and felt it was the perfect venue for such a show.  All in all would recommend checking out a play here.

I heart this theater. With the hardwood floors and the intimate layout. And you can still feel the saturday night fever and shiny disco balls if you close your eyes...

Roundabout does wonderful things here.

I mean, what more can be said about this place? Lots of history, and also a great space to see some great theatre. I went here on Cinco de Mayo to see "Waiting for Godot" (with Nathan Lane and John Goodman, who is MONEY in it btw) and it was great...the show, and the space...we sat up in the mezzanine but the actual theatre is great...and yes Lauren B, Roundabout does do wonderful things here...

Had the pleasure of attending opening night of "Sunday in the Park with George" last Thursday at this theater. I sat in the first row of the mezz, and  the view was great. It didn't seem like there was a bad seat in the house, actually.

When I first entered the theater, the stage took my breath away. Maybe it was just how it was designed for this particular musical, but it looked so simple, intimate and elegant that I couldn't wait to see the action begin.

As mentioned previously, the acoustics are great in this place. The stage is a bit small, but it suited the play I was seeing.

My only complaints are the limited bar options and the fact that the water from the bathroom sinks was ice cold. Almost too cold to even wash your hands (I did anyway, don't worry).

I came here to see a performance of "Sunday In The Park With George", so if staff is really different for different shows, keep that in mind.

The staff was friendly and courteous. I got to do one of my favorite performance things which is to pre-order wine to have during intermission.

The facility itself has a lot of space and there's a great feel being in the audience (at least from the orchestra section). We were friends with one of the main performers for the show and were able to get a bit of a backstage tour post-show. There is a lot of room backstage for props and the staff. When you step out onto the actual stage, you get a great feel for the audience but also feel a little integrated, at the same time.

I went here with with some friends and family a few days ago to see "Pal Joey". It's pretty cool to be in "Studio 54" but I was a little dissapointed. Now, I know it is is an older theater but the seats are incredibly small. and really close to each other. There is no way an average sizer person could seat in here comfortably. I also really didn't like that you couldn't bring drinks inside the theater. I spent $28 on two glasses on champagne for me and my friend and we had to practically chug them before the usher could take us to our seats. It's perfectly fine to not allow drinks into the theater but that should be made much more clear at the bar so you don't end up wasting money on drinks you can't enjoy. I might come back if there was a show I really really wanted to see here but overall I was not impressed.

Great place to see a show - one of Roundabout's hot musicals.  Sit at cabaret style tables, up on bar stools or in the regular old balcony seats.  Waiter service (bar and limited food) on the main level.  All restrooms on the upper level.

The space is a bit dinghy - it hasn't lost all the flavor of the club days.  Good acoustics.  Roundabout directors have played with the space on the main level, bringing the action into the audience.

I also saw Sunday in the Park with George here. It was gorgeous, intimate, and elegant! Wonderful view from the orchestra.
