My boyfriend and I went to Studebakers because he lives on main street and it's close. We almost walked out without our coffee because we felt the employee that worked there was so rude. We walked in as the only customers in the shop and waited at the counter for our coffee to be given to us. Other customers came in after us and when the employee put a coffee down on the counter directly in front of us without saying a word, we picked it up and took a sip. Apparently it was for the customer that came in after us. We could not have know that and instead of the employee apologizing for not calling out the drink and leading us to believe it was ours, she actually had the audacity to come off with an attitude like we should have known better. We won't be going back.

Whenever I have to work in this cute little town I always go here. Not only do they serve great food but it's a really interesting coffee shop. The artwork inside is from local artists and there are great quotes hanging from little chalkboards all over the ceiling.
A great detail about Studebakers is that they have an amazing selection of Republic of Tea products. So hard to find in Lake County! Their sandwiches are tasty and for something sweet I recommend the raspberry rugelach that they make daily for only $1! (the chocolate is good too)
Only reason why I am not giving five stars is because this place closes early and if you are looking to get something quick don't go here because service is good but very slow.
P.S. They have Blue Sky sodas here too! RARE! -

Good coffee you can get most anywhere. Where Studebakers shines is in their sandwiches and pasteries. I hear their soups are wonderful too but I haven't finished with the sandwich menu yet.
If you're in Kelseyville you have to have lunch or breakfast here! -

I'm so happy that Kelseyville finally got a coffee shop (I'm a Kelseyville HS grad, and for the longest time, the "downtown" was boring!)
This place has great coffee, sandwiches (beware, they sell out quickly), gelato, and lots of fun tea and coffee related souvenir items along the walls. I go their every time I hit the ol' hometown. -

Studebakers...really the only place to get decent coffee for a decent radius. I mean seriously, I think there's 1 other "serious" coffee shop within 30 miles of this place. Hope you're not a Starbucks addict while in the area, otherwise you'll be making the drive to Studebakers every morning, and that can suck up some serious time.
This place really could be a 5 star in my book, but something about it just never clicked for me and I'll chalk that to some sort of personal taste, rather than anything particularly wrong with the shop.
Haven't bothered to ever try their sandwiches, just their coffee and pastries. I have to give them credit for making a nice brew, be it straight coffee, mochas, latte, whatever. They take the effort to get some good stuff brought to their shop and it shows. -

Definitely stop by.
Great coffee, especially if you are looking for a latte or a chai, and you would rather not have something from Starbucks all the way up here!
Happy people behind the counters, and chairs outside, are all a bonus.
And hey, they know how to make a sandwich! -

I agree with one of the other reviews below, the service is not the best and I have had better lattes and pasties elsewhere! The pastry was very dry and the latte was not like the other places make them...

I don't drink coffee, but there are two things I love about Studebakers--their tasty sandwiches, and their soda selection. They've got lots of cool novelty sodas to choose from, and their sandwiches are great! I've always been impressed with the quality of the food they sell.
This is a fun place to hang out if you want to see locals. -

This place is located in downtown Kelseyville, and is a welcome stop in the morning or in the afternoon. Studebaker's serves very good coffee (Peet's or Jeremiah's) and espresso drinks, sells beans from a local roaster, and prepares excellent sandwiches named after classic cars. The baguette they use for some of them is delicious. A few tables on the sidewalk allow the customers to drink and eat in the sun. The only downside is the service, which is friendly but often desperately slow. But hey, you're in Lake County, so what's the hurry?

The coffee is really good and I love all of the novelty candies and beverages. the down fall for me is the fact that if you are there waiting and someone the people behind the counter know comes in you will be overlooked and just plain pushed back in the line. On more than one occasion I have been ignored while they were chatting with friends for 10 min or more. I also think the sandwiches are good but a little over priced for a deli sandwich.
