The whole waxing experience was a first for me, as I've only waned (har har). Anyway, I'm no expert so I can't be too critical of Strip. In which case, I'll keep it "brief."
Loved:
- Free condoms in discreet matchbook-appearing packaging with the phrace "Strip Responsibly."
Liked:
- Courteous and friendly service.
- Quick and relatively painless; good job!
- Didn't make me feel silly.
- Price was reasonable compared to some others that I'd called ($15 for shoulders), especially for the cailber of the place.
Did not like:
- No parking
- Wish I'd known about the discount as a first-time yelper =( -

I wish I could give them no stars at all. That was the worst experience I have ever had. If you want to get bad attitude and unfriendly customer service and actually poor job done with hair left, than this is a place to be.

I really had a great experience here... got my first time 10% off as a yelper, and requested Noelle, since she got a lot of praise. Sure enough, she was cool and nice as could be, and an expert waxer: I got a brazilian and it was one of the least painful ones ever! (As unpainful as getting hair torn out of your chocha can be.)
The prices are pretty standard... I think fifty for a really well done Brazilian is what you can expect, and with my rebate it was $45. On my budget, it's a little steep, but with summer on the way, it was a necessary visit, and quality-wise it couldn't be better. If you're going to get a Brazilian and can afford it, definitely get it done here.
(Oh and they had really nice smelling lotions up front for sale that are worth a sniff... mmm.) -

Tried this place (recommended by a friend) for waxing downstairs. I got Noelle and she was awesome. This was one of the quickest ones I have ever got, which is a relief for sure.
The place was clean. Parking was a bit of a challenge but I found an open meter. You can make an appointment by phone or online, super easy.
A tiny bit pricier than I would like and I did NOT know about the first time yelp discount, my bad. I wouldn't hesitate to go back though. Thumbs up! -

Super cute inside, very clean, upscale feel but down to earth girls.
Noelle is my gurrrrl! It is the most painless wax I've ever had! All the girls are so fun to talk to and make you feel so welcomed! Also if you need to drop 5 pounds in 5 minutes--- THE SPRAY TAN! Its amazing how real it is and always the "right" color drying even.
Don't himhaw around--this is your new place!!! -

Being a resident of the noho arts district, I always drive by this place and have never noticed until Joy B told me.
The extent of my waxing experience went as far as my eyebrows! So you can imagine how scared and intimidated I was to try this place. So my friend and I decided to adventure together. LOL we wanted to be in the same room for support but it clearly states in their website that no other person besides yourself is allowed.
We called the same day for an appointment and luckily they were able to accommodate us. Noelle is your girl! She's awesome and she's good at what she does. Right of the bat, I told her that I was a newbie and she put me to ease regarding the whole process. She explained and educated me about post care and maintenance. whew! sigh of relieve.
I'll definitely be coming back!
OOh yeh, this place is also a cute boutique and might wanna look around their displays while waiting. -

5 stars because NOELLE, is hands-down, without a doubt THE best person to ever wax a vajazzle. Period dot end. She has moved to a few different salons and where she goes, I go. I will not let anyone else near my lady parts with hot wax. She's thorough and it's not awkward or weird at all.
The boutique is very cute and I've never had a problem finding parking on Lankershim. It's easy to get to, easy to park, and actually pretty easy to get all the hair ripped out of your snatch.

I am a seasoned waxer and prefer the Brazilian Wax, but I really have to get mentally prepared for that kind of brutalilty. Anyways, enter Eliza Martin...one of the best waxers I have been to. She totally puts you at ease and she is easy to talk to. The salon uses exellent quality wax and products. My wax took all of 8 minutes and barely hurt at all! I actually enjoyed my time there! I am officially hooked!!! I will definitely be back!

Love this place. Noelle -- the chattiest, friendliest aesthetician I've met -- is lovely to the core. And super genuine. She's also very thorough. I've seen her twice for a Brazilian and I didn't need to touch up either time. I also like that she doesn't ask you to spread eagle. She asks you to bend one leg at a time the way any proper aesthetician should. But the first time I went, I did have to specify that I wanted everrrything gone (even though my appt was for a Brazilian) because she was ready to leave before I flipped over.
And the kicker for a fantasmic waxing experience? Strip's sweet-smelling, clean bathroom. Plus the lotions and wipes they provide for you.
Metered parking isn't so bad. But if you want to save a few quarters and don't mind a small walk, there's free street parking down a block or two if you care to hunt for it.

I've had my fair share of terrible waxes leaving one of my eyebrows completely uneven that aestheticians (from way pricier spas) have told me that they can't fix it without making it worse. I found Strip through yelp and because of the rave reviews I thought I'd try it out. Jennifer has fixed my eyebrows! They haven't been this even for over a year! She did an amazing job. I also had Eliza on my last visit and she is amazingly sweet and super quick!
Some of the reviews have said the waxes are a bit pricey, but honestly you're getting your money's worth. I will never go to another waxing salon again! -

I had to go to Strip because my normal esthetician was booked and couldn't get me in before her and I went on Vacation. I'm going to Vegas for my anniversary and plan to spend a lot of time by the pool.
I had Noelle. She was great. Cute and fun, and really made me feel at ease which I'm usually not. I get nervous even with my normal girl and I tend to sweat a lot which makes it a little more difficult, but it wasn't a problem for Noelle. I got a mix between a Brazilian and a Bikini plus, normally I can't even get close to part Brazilian, so this is a testament to her greatness and gentle nature.
The only reason I did not give them/her a 5 is because I'm still having some redness and blotching 2 days later on my legs, hopefully it'll be gone by tomorrow and I'll be pool ready without feeling self conscious.
The other bad thing is the parking is awful. I wish they were in a better local. I went on a Saturday evening which could make it worse I'm sure, but there is a local lot but that was full. I parked 3 blocks away : /
But Noelle is great. I'd definitely recommend her! I'd go see her again if my girl is not available. -

So, yes, I'm a total fan of not double dipping and my aesthetician was very good at that. I loved they way she was excessively clean!
However, I feel that she didn't really try to get all the hair out and didn't have as much attention to detail? Also, for the little work that was done, I thought the price was a little expensive. I didn't have much to work with, but was charged $45 with the yelp discount included...I mean, I expected to pay around 35-40 for what I came in with....Maybe I'm just being super cheap, but yeah, I was a little disappointed overall.

Wait - a boutique that JUST specializes in waxing? AND it's close to home? Score! Hands down the best waxing experience EVER. The environment is very upscale boutique, the staff is friendly and welcoming, and they are excellent at what they do. I've been traumatized before, and I always though maybe I was just a little too sensitive for this whole thing, but after visiting Eliza, I realized that it wasn't me. It was THEM.
Eliza did an amazing job. The LEAST painful waxing experience I've ever had. I went in for a Bikini Wax, and ended up getting the Bikini Plus AND an Underarm Wax as well. Eliza made me feel comfortable, relaxed and at ease within seconds. (Which, for anyone who has had a bikini was before, is not easy!) On top of that I was pretty nervous since this was my first time in about 3 years. (after my last experience, I wasn't too keen on going back.) I found myself asking her about underarm waxing, since my skin is too sensitive for shaving, and she said she could take care of that for me today too. She didn't try to "schedule me for an appointment" or have to "squeeze me in." She just offered to do it, and she did. It. Yeah. Awesome.
So I took care of two areas in about 10 minutes. Whoa! I was literally in and out of Strip in 15 minutes flat! And I didn't feel rushed, didn't feel pressured, I just felt...satisfied. I find myself thinking, after that experience, a Brazilian might not be that bad after all...this may become an addiction... -

Went here for the first time today and my first wax and it was amazing! Well it wasn't painless but the whole experience was great. I've never had a wax and Jenny made me feel so comfortable. She talked with me the whole time and kept me preoccupied with chit chat as she ripped strips of wax from my body. I am so glad that this place was my first place and thank god my cousin introduced me to waxing at STRIP. I definitely think that I'm done shaving! They accept credit and cash but only cash for tips. And Jenny threw in a loofa for free for my first time! :)

Jenny at Strip is the greatest waxer I've ever met. Period! Over the past 5 years I have followed her from followed Wax Poetic (Burbank) to Wax (West Hollywood) and now Strip. She takes great care of me in a very efficient manner. After a full Brazilian (parking and payment included) I'm out in 20 mins :) Jenny makes waxing as comfortable as possible. I will never see anyone else. Love you Jenny!!!!!!!

If I still worked down the street, I'd still go here. It's just not geographically desirable for me anymore, which is a shame as they're wonderful: Superdeduper hygienic, nice, and efficient. My kind of place.
Not the cheapest wax I've had, but well-executed and a really cool ceiling to stare at.
They also do online appointment scheduling, which is a nice bonus. -

Waxing is a personal business. It's something that is acceptable to discuss with other lady friends, but never at the dinner table (especially with your dad). And why? Because we're talking about body hair! Whether its underarm, leg or the unmentionable bikini area, it's something we females like to look after as part of our upkeep.
Now, with my experience Eliza was hands down the most down to earth waxer I've been to. Seriously, no "Gasp! How long has it been?!...by the way it's going to hurt."
I felt relaxed and comfortable, and we even cracked a couple of jokes. Also, she was mighty quick so I wasn't late to my next appointment.
I made my appointment online which I think is best if you have a tight schedule. It mentions how long each job takes. And for parking I'd suggest the metered lot on Magnolia. -

Strip is an awesome boutique that is professional yet still feels homey and comfortable. Getting a Brazilian Bikini Wax does not go under the category of "fun", however, Eliza is so amazing that she nearly makes it fun! Eliza is professional, quick, and good! You are in and out and leave feeling beautiful and sexy. As an added perk, Eliza is so friendly and warm that you never feel uncomfortable, even in the rather compromising positions required to receive a wax. I've never gotten one bump or ingrown hair from having her wax me. They use high quality products at Strip and NEVER double dip!
For a quick pick me up, Go see Eliza. You and someone special to you will be glad you did! -

Getting waxed, whether on your eyebrows or....elsewhere..is always a bit weird. Laying down on a table with another gal above you that you've only known for a few seconds, as she rips hair from your skin, it's a obvious weird situation. But this place does it right.
Very friendly and personable staff that totally take your mind off what is about to happen. Professional and clean atmosphere. Totally reasonable prices. AND quick! My lip wax took about 6 minutes from the time I walked in til the time I paid.
I will MOST CERTAINLY go back! -

Yes, FINALLY. A 5 Star bikini wax joint. After years of searching I had found a couple of places that do a pretty good job, but are a world away from me on the west side. I tried a couple of the other highly rated places in the valley, and always left a little disappointed, but not this time. This time, I've found THE place I'll keep coming back to for as long as I'm in the valley.
Or at least, the aesthetician I'll keep coming back to. Thank you Noelle for being so professional and genuinely nice at the same time.
Here's the breakdown:
This was probably THE LEAST PAINFUL brazilian wax I've ever gotten. Granted, it still sucks, but I only wimpered twice, AND I think it was just because I expected it to hurt more than it did. Really, ladies, if you dread the pain each time before you visiting your waxing salon, THIS is your new place.
REALLY great, fast service. I arrived at 5:55 for a 6pm appointment, and they took me to a room right away. This was also the first place that didn't make me wait for an aesthetician to come into the room while I changed. Noelle led me to the room, and then "prepped" in the room with me.
We got into a GENUINE (good) conversation, and I think that made the session last a little longer than it should have, but other than that, she took good care of me.
I was very pleased with my results, and the price isn't too bad. I mentioned yelp and paid $45. I will happily pay $50 to keep coming back here though. I've paid more and had a worse experiences. This was absolutely a pleasant surprise. -

GREAT prices! good work! the only gripe I would have is that the girl I selected which I had last time acted kinda weird when I came in and then had another girl take me- but she did SUCH a good job on my brows!!! I can walk from my apartment and theyre all pretty friendly- along with the great prices - I will keep going here. Its nice to find a place you can trust that wont give you crazy 'im scared' looking jersey shore brows.

I just recently moved to Studio City from Downtown/KTown and I was searching for a new place to do my brazilian wax. I was actually very happy with my first visit to Strip for a very much needed Brazilian wax 3 days ago. The environment was clean, relaxing and Jenny was very pleasant and fast (took her only 15mins, where my previous lady I've gone to for years spent sometimes more than half an hour to do but with a thorough job).
What I really like about this place was that I was able to come in within an hour from calling.. setting up a same day appointment is awesome!! I have called and checked out 2 other places before calling the Strip and setting up an appointment to those places was just terrible in my opinion. You had to book an appointment online and I won't even mention that place's name that didn't have any opening for the rest of the month? Maybe I was just spoiled by my previous lady, who always managed to get me in the same day I called her... so I was ecstatic when the Strip was able to set me up the same day. The price was about $10 more than what I used to pay even with the first-time visit Yelp discount, but I was ok with it...
The only thing I'm not very satisfied about is that, after 3 days I realized that in some areas, the roots weren't included when the waxing was done... I would be more understanding if it were only several hairs, but there were too much and in patches where roots weren't included... I may as well shaved myself down there. :( -

Amazing place! Walked in and was able to be seen in just moments. I went in for an eyebrow wax, and Noelle did an AMAZING job! Friendly and professional. She made me feel right at home. She also asked me what I wanted, and gave her suggestions as well. I didn't feel rushed at all- really felt like she wanted me to look great.
I will definitely be back! Don't forget to mention yelp if you're a first timer. You can schedule an appointment online too. This place was so easy, no fuss, and I'm very happy with my brows now. =) -

No more schlepping all over the place to get a decent wax - I have officially been stripped.
I discovered this adorable boutique by chance while out walking and found myself excited about the idea that a great wax boutique has cropped up in my up & coming neighborhood!
I placed a last minute call in to Jennifer - frantic to tidy up the naughty bits for this weekends Vegas trip poolside festivities. She happily took me in and saved me from pube exposure self consciousness! My hero!
The place is so chic and modern with great high wood beamed ceilings and exposed brick peeking atop richly hued walls. There is ambient lighting, a comfy temperature, background music, art on the wall, and super clean waxing digs.
The girl's got skills - practically painless & precise. No double dipping rule is tried & true AND she wears gloves. The strawberry cream & european blue wax is the creme de la creme.
The pre-numbing spray & post tea tree ointment was a pleasant plus! Fantastic quality products and great service.
I highly recommend all of you fellow valley girls to come on over and support this great new wax boutique - dare I say it may just be a good enough reason for those west side gals to make the trip into the 818!

What an appropriate review to lose my yelp review virginity with. I've been (selfishly) using Yelp for a very long time without actually comitting to a review until now. Strip wax is hands down the most painless, pleasant waxing experience I've had to date. I am SO glad this place is right across the street from work.
No more making excuses. No more cringing at the thought of the pain. With strip wax, I can always rest assure that Jenny will take good care of me.
Try it out. You really can't beat the service for the price. -

I have been EVERYWHERE in Los Angeles to get my cha cha waxed. Yes, I am a waxing whore- every highly skilled to poorly skilled waxing technician in the city AND valley has seen my un-bearded clam.
I am currently a resident of Studio City, and I have been DREAMING of an amazing waxing studio on this side of the valley. No more sitting in traffic for an hour to get my monthly service.
Welcome to North Hollywood, STRIP WAX. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
Jenny was AMAZING. The decor is gorgeous and girly, and I felt so comfortable in the room. The clean environment and the quality of the wax (I know my wax), made me feel super comfortable spreading myself for a complete stranger.
Literally after 15 minutes, and a pretty painless experience, Jenny waxed and primped my puss perfectly.
I was out the door, and on with the rest of my day. DEFINITELY going back. -

As a first timer, I didn't have much experience in getting my vag hair ripped off. I was terrified going in, but the positive reviews assured me I would at least survive. Survive I did! It felt good to be in professional hands (if I'd tried this on my own I probably would have said fuck it and stopped half way through).
This is definately something worth doing regularly. The results still have my fiancé drooling and I feel fresh every day! -

Just wanted to write a short review to say how much I like this place. The Brazilian is virtually painless and everyone here is so friendly! It's also pretty easy for them so squeeze you into their schedule, which is difficult at a lot of other places. Haven't tried any of their other services, but as soon as I get some money, I'm going to give the spray tan a try :)

5 FREAKING STARS FOR THIS PLACE. Parking is easy to find and the boutique looks and feels cozy. Eliza did my brazilian wax and she did a great job on it. I barely even thought of the pain because she was distracting me from it. For some reason our conversation turned into the topic of sharks and we shared a few laughs in there. There never was an awkward silence. I love Stark Studio but I think I have finally found my waxing place. Hey what can I say? Its 15 dollars cheaper !!!!!

I'm definitely going back to Strip. I was in and out in no time and maybe my skin is finally getting used to this but for my third time ever it barely hurt! My lady was very precise and fast. No bleeding! She even offered to trim me! I turned her down for I was feeling rather embarrassed that I'd been more intimate with her than I am with most men but next time I'm taking her up on the offer :D

I went here today for the first time and I am so happy with my decision. I scheduled a brazilian and Eliza did my waxing. It was fast and as painless as waxing can be. Also this place is so cute and doesnt feel like a waxing factory where they get you in just to get you out. Eliza is awesome and talks to you through the whole process so much so that the focus is on finishing your sentence and not focusing on the waxing. I love this place and I have definitely found a new waxing home. Thanks Eliza!!

A Brazilian includes the rear!!! That is why people get it!!! Obviously this person does NOT know how to give a good wax, otherwise there would not be SO MANY stray hairs, especially in the crucial areas WE ALL WANT SMOOTH WHEN WE PAY FOR THIS SERVICE. Every good person that waxes tweezes them all and does not leave them for the client to pluck themselves. I am HAPPY to go to someone that takes the time to actually provide the service offered!!

I got my eyebrows waxed here today and it was awesome. Eliza totally distracted me from the waxing process and there was very little pain. This is a great space and they do good work. Highly recommended.
