This store brought back the personal side of book buying for me that I had forgotten existed while buying online!
I was visiting the area and happened to come in and wow! The staff is amazing and really knows their children's books and young adult offerings. They actually read the books they are recommending and can discuss in detail. I have readers and non readers, girls and boys from 13 to 5 and the recommendations that were made that I brought home were spot on. I am 100% pleased with my purchases!
The store is clean, cozy and well organized. Who doesn't love the smell of new books? The prices are not discounts but new book prices and I felt like I was willing to pay the full price due to the service I received.
I can't comment on the return policy as I didn't return a thing. The store has parking directly in front of it. My experience was great. Highly recommend. -

This is one of the best businesses in the East Bay.
If you have kids, or you are shopping for kid's books, Storyteller should be on your short list. The staff is extremely knowledgeable about kids and children's lit, and they make recommendations that shows the true weakness of buying Amazon. Recent recommendations included "When You Reach Me", "Alabama Moon" and "The Maze Runner," and my son (&I!) ate all of them up. I can't leave without spending a few $$$, but its always my pleasure. -

The Storyteller is a CoCoCounty institution -- one of the best children's stores in the area.
They seem to have a nearly comprehensive selection of children's books for all ages. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable -- they can always recommend something good for my nephew. I took him to see Louis Sachar, the author of Holes, at an event the store sponsored at a local middle school. Great community event.
Shopping at a store like this where the folks are just passionate about what they do makes you realize again and again what the chains are taking away from our communities. -

Great place to find exactly what your kids want. They offer a few adult selections as well. I just got a fabulous Dale Chihuly book there. What I like most is that the staff really listens and will offer your child some attention if they aren't exactly sure what they'd like to buy.
A cute little place next to Petar's and Chow that offers an old school experience for kids to enjoy. -

Just went to The Storyteller for some new train books. Wow, loved the selection, friendly service, and the free parking. I wish I'd discovered this bookstore sooner. It's my new place to shop for children's books.
There is some storefront parking.
