StormSister Spatique is nothing short of an enjoyable, well-worth-the-trip experience.  The atmosphere is warm and inviting.  The air is alive with the soothing scent of Ginger Fig or Pomegranate Blackberry.  The warm colors, wood floor, and exceptional decor feel as though you are enveloped in a warm, fuzzy robe with a hot cocoa and a good book.  The space is wrapped in a selection of music where you'll hear The Pet Shop Boys, Morrissey, 3 Doors Down, Swing Out Sister or Billy Idol (just to name a few).
The product is unique and inviting.  It ranges from high-end items to real bargains.  The effectiveness of each product has been tried and tested by Becky, the owner, who stands behind each one she sells.
For years I've dealt with a nagging case of eczema on my hands that, with just a few applications, became all but cured after utilizing the product line Pre de Provence.  Not only did it significantly impact my tendency to have extreme outbreaks but by applying it to my face I was also able to stabilize the production of oil in my skin.  I have much more even skin and less outbreaks of acne.
As a result of finding this heavenly product I've also invested in other "gems" including her collection of Badger Balm for colds or sore muscles, French Quarter Candles, local artistry clothing and massage products.
Becky Sturm is an expert and open to any and all questions; no-holds-barred.  If you want the honest truth she'll give it to you.
Everyone is encouraged to stop by this West Side find.  One trip will keep you coming back again and again...and again.

StormSister Spatique is my skincare and make-up destination.  Becky's philosophy and the importance of carrying chemical-free skincare is a match to my thinking.  It's wonderful that I have a store here in the Twin Cities that I trust for my "40 yr old skin" in an intimate store setting that offers such personal attention.

History

Established in 2005

StormSister Spatique began as an online shopping experience. After the owner, a hairdresser, began to miss the physical connection with her clients, a storefront was a must-have.

Meet the Business Owner: Becky S.

Becky has been a hairdresser for more than 22 years.  A graduate of Minneapolis' Horst Education Center, today known as The Aveda Institute, and in 1985, completed Horst's Advanced Training program.

Following an internship with Aaron Nicholson of The Red Carpet Salons, Regis Corporation showed up on Becky's doorstep. They convinced Becky to open a Regis salon in West Saint Paul's Signal Hills Mall. Becky and her sister then started a small salon in 1988 in their  grandparents' home. As third generation hairdressers, Grandma was thrilled to host the in-house business for 11 years.
Becky's passion to explore new and unique products combined with her drive to educate clients facilitated the growth of her retail business within the salon. Eventually, Becky's innovative style and entrepreneurial spirit pushed her to start her own online shopping site.  The website's success enabled Becky to open the brick and mortar version, StormSister Spatique.
