The other morning my technician pulled up to do his bi-monthly service of keeping my home pest free and I thought about how much nicer it is to have a preventative service rather than having to call when the problem is actually on my doorstep. Been there, done that, and it sucks.

In one of a rental condos, a tenant apparently had fleas - the place was INFESTED like crazy. It was gross. Not even 10 minutes inspecting the unit after we evicted the tenants, I had 3 flea bites on my legs - and I wasn't wearing shorts!
I asked my Realtor who said he's been using "Stop Bugging Me" for all his clients that needed pest control; of course I had to look up the business on Yelp.
Emailed them for a quote, and received a reply right away.
The technician was great! Showed up right on time, and they actually came under budget.
Very happy with them, and I referred them to a friend that owns a property management company who also said he'd heard of them, but wasn't sure.
Highly recommend the team at Stop Bugging Me! -

Disappointed, service is not diligent as advertised.
We detected recent rat's signs and dropping in our boiler room and crawlspaces. We purchased their service through Groupon ad as 55% discounted, however in a separate quote without a coupon, the price is the same $179; so coupon was not really needed.
The site survey was quick, not thorough as anticipated, something we can do ourselves, poor sanitation care was not taken when traversed through our living area; he claimed dirt+fiberglass from the previous job. AJ, the service man is on the bigger size, we felt bad for him squeezing through the opening of crawlspace and attic. But once he's in, from the same spot, he scanned the dark area with a small hand flashlight and decided it was sufficient to set traps, he didn't crawl through nor to the second crawlspace to survey. 4 traps were set near the crawlspace's opening and 1 in the boiler room, near enough that we can check the traps ourselves. We can see 1 trap was triggered but no catch, 1 trap has no peanut bait. The traps were left for another week and quoted to clean crawlspace and perform regular maintenance with more $$$. We wanted to wait after the initial service with assessment & recommendation. We were on travel for the last couple of weeks, a friend helped us out, the traps removed without any catch. We waited for a report but none was received. We wouldn't recommend this company nor this service. One can set traps, wait & check. It seems the other company's quote perform the same task (set traps & quote for more job). Save your money and get the commercial traps, not the tiny one, set it yourself, and perhaps check out the additional service if you caught any. -

I'm a man and I'm not afraid to kill things.
In fact I enjoy all of the hunting, trapping and varmint murdering arts. I've trapped mice and rats, blasted a raccoon out of a tree with a pellet rifle after it attacked my dog, while in college I even clubbed a possum with a 5 iron. Listen hippie, it was in my dorm room, in my bed and it had orange teeth - I'm pretty sure it was an agent of the devil and I did us all a favor so don't you judge me.
My basic philosophy on anything non-human is "get them before they get me". When it came to bed bugs that was an epic FAIL.
When I found-out I had bed bugs I thought my doctor was just bull-shitting me to break the ice before she told me I had contracted a deadly sub-Saharan zombie flesh eating bacteria from my last trip to the airport bathroom. *note - steer clear from day-old airport sushi*, I'm a 30+ year old professional with a graduate degree and I was honestly under the impression bed bugs, the tooth fairy and a balanced federal budget were works of fiction.
Turns out bed bugs are VERY real and Cimex Lectularius are nearly impossible to get rid of. Stop Bugging Me showed up the same day I called and waged an all-out war on those blood sucking bastards. Seriously - it was biblical.
The fact that they actually did what I paid them to do wasn't what prompted me to write this review, I actually hate people who give 5 star ratings because they got what they paid for, that's a 3 star at best. Stop Bugging Me showed up on-time, were all business, by far the most affordable of the 3 quotes I received and most impressively called me back TWICE to make sure the problem hadn't re-surfaced. In the event I am plagued with another curse of insects, rodents, pests or vermin that I am personally incapable of committing genocide against I will be contacting Stop Bugging Me again. -

These guys are pros! Excellent customer service and good prices. The only other pest service I'd ever used was down in Fife and I have to say the Stop Bugging me guys were far more professional. They were very efficient and thorough. FIVE STARS! Although, anyone who keeps me from having to kill bugs is five-star in my book :)
