5 reviews for Stoney Creek Inn
I have been going to the Stoney Creek Inn for about three years. I go less frequently then I would like because my wife is a landlubber. I just found out on here that they were featured on a TV show! I too have enjoyed their crab cakes, very meaty, but yet full of flavor and seasoning still.
I must comment on their to go bushels of crabs. I get them for a fourth of July party every year and they are excellent. My party consists of about 25 long time locals to the Baltimore area, and always with out fail I am told that these are the best crabs they have all year. Always full, and always spiced just right, with J&O's seasoning.
Good Job Stoney Creek Inn!
We too visited Stoney Creek Inn because we saw it on Diners, Drive Ins, and Dives. But, as mentioned in another review, it was nothing like it appeared on T.V. The food wasn't bad, but it wasn't great either. The crab cakes were definitely very crabby, but had too much of a mustard taste. Did not care for it. We went at lunch time in November, and there were not many customers at all. At least we didn't wait in line. The service was "ok", but nothing to write home about.
*** If I could, I'd give this place ZERO stars! ***
Don't believe what you see on TV!!
I'm limited by this text box to fully share all details of my experience, so I've posted the FULL review of Stoney Creek Inn on my blog (see my profile for the link).
Horrible food, dirty restaurant, bad service and not anywhere near the magical experience shown on "Diners Drive-Ins and Dives". Guy Fieri, you did us wrong! Wouldn't go back to this place even if they paid me and the owner made the food fresh.
I highly suggest you stay away from this place and you MUST read the FULL details of my HORRIBLE experience posted on my blog.
See my profile for a link to my food blog to read the entire experience as there's a lot more that I couldn't include here due to lack of space...too many words!
My review on my food blog for Stone Creek Inn is actually my longest review ever for such a horrible place!
This is definitely the WORST restaurant I've ever had the displeasure of visiting!
I made a reservation TWO days in advance and when we arrived, we were told that we are only allow 1 1/2 hour to eat, which we agree to but the crabs took forever to cook and they only leave us half hour to finish our 2 dozen crabs. The crabs were not all that to be, you are better off heading to Captain James Crab House, great service and food! I will NEVER go to stoney creek again!!! Also this is not children friendly place, I saw the lady behind the counter YELLED at a costumer with a toddler!
Went to the Stoney Creek Inn today for lunch after it was featured on the Food Network's Diners, Drivein & Dives show. It was everything that Guy said it was. Had the fried stuffed hard crab and hubby had the seafood platter. It was excellent and their is so much food that we took leftovers home.
Highly recommend.
