I'm a fan of Stoneridge Shopping Center--
Lots of great stores all in one spot!-- If you could make my day consist of less driving--- you are my friend. Thanks Stoneridge. A few of my favs- Victoria's Secret, Nordstoms, Teavana, Sephora, Hot Topic, Wet Seal, Origins, Apple Store, etc etc. Yay Stoneridge! -
Review from Nora S.
Great mall and busier than expected. Had all the usual stores to entertain the family. For us, those are Godiva, Teavana, See's, and Apple (my son can spend hours here). Plus all the big standards, Macy's, Nordstrom's, Sears, JC Penny's. I didn't even realize the latter was still in business.
But wait! This mall has more. This mall has the first Lego store I have ever seen. Conveniently situated right by the Apple store, my son ended up spending most of his time here building legos. So cool I will have to yelp it separately!
Strangely, the Haagen Dasz shop was closed on a Saturday afternoon as was the Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory. I don't know what that was about. Maybe they are going out of business? -

Mall walking should be considered sport. You have to avoid baby strollers, large groups of teens, cell phone walkers, and the occasional mall cop.
If you are jewelry shopping this place has several stores that you can browse and get a good idea what sort of style and size preference you are in the market for. Beside high end bling, there are plenty of department stores for clothes shopping and the electronic side of Apple.
Suit up and bring your water bottle for some mall walking. -

Great Shopping Mall. Shitty Parking. Minus one star for the bottle neck traffic. Otherwise it is a terrific mall and my favorite in the east bay.

I grew up with this mall. It's got big open space, and its well lit. They renovated like 10 years ago? (maybe less) and the seating areas are really nice. =) The people make the mall for me and the people here are nicer and less pushy to me than a lot of other malls I've been to. It is kid friendly but I feel like this mall also has less strollers than other malls...

Alot more high end stores than the sun valley mall. Also the people there seem alot more affluent haha and cleaner mall.

A mall is a mall, is a mall. The anchor stores at this mall are Macy's, Nordstrom, and I can't even remember the other, JCPenny perhaps. You will find your standards; Gap, The Banana, Vickie's little secret, the cookie spot started by that lady Debra Fields, and a few lower end stores to attract the Tweens. No complaints here. Always clean and parking is plentiful. An extra star for having a Cheesecake Factory and a PF Changs, that beats the food court any day.

This mall has the basics-jcpenneys, Macy's sears nordstroms and a McDonalds! But....no food court which I have to remind myself of even though I've been coming here since I was a kid. I would say on the whole employees have gone down hill here. They could really care less when you walk into pretty much any store so if you don't actually need help or don't like people well then I guess that's ok. Speaking of people, since when did it become impossible to find a spot to park here?! Oh wait, when pf Changs and cheesecake factory took over duh. Good luck dodging the crowds, teenagers and strollers.

This is a very big mall. It's so deceiving from outside. I am from the Sacramento Valley region and we came to Stoneridge Mall to have lunch at CPK. I was impressed being that it was a big mall. I have been to larger malls but Im just still surprised that this is a large mall. They have nice variety of stores from high end to affordable for everyone.
If you are from the SacValley Region it might remind you of Roseville Galleria before they renovated it larger today. Oh and my experience when I went shopping that day.......EVERYONE that worked there were extremely nice. Maybe it was just a GOOD DAY. -

The only mall that matters in the region.
If you've got a decent amount of money to spend, this is the place. You can find all of your mid and high-end stores here, including regional firsts like Banana Republic, Oakley, GUESS, Pottery Barn, and the always-friendly Nordstrom. And while it doesn't have a food court, you can find traditional favorites like McDonald's and Panda Express near the entrances.
The best part? The mall seems to get better and better each year. GAP remodeled, Nordstrom is in the middle of a huge renovation, The Art of Shaving, Lego, and MAC Cosmetics are moving in, and newer stores like LoveCulture and Teavana are doing well. There are few vacancies, and they're mostly concentrated to the Nordstrom wing. P.F. Chang's, The Cheesecake Factory, and California Pizza Kitchen all sit outside, beckoning you in.
Stoneridge isn't without flaws, though. They could really use a Forever 21 that sells men's clothing and Macy's Men is in need of some serious updating. But with Valley Fair and the Galleria at Roseville both long distances away, Stoneridge gets the job done incredibly well.
And the employees at Nordstrom's Kiehl's counter are DIVINE. I'd rather buy from there than the Kiehl's store in Valley Fair. -

This is the best mall in this part of the EB, they've got a bit of everything for everyone, all the major department stores and great places to eat. The only thing is that there is no centralized food court. All the restaurants are scattered throughout the various courts of the mall, both upstairs and downstairs (there are only 2 levels). However, I always find what I'm looking for. They've got your regular suspects: Macy's, Nordy's, William Sonoma, Pottery Barn, Gap, Banana, Abercrobie & Fitch, Victoria's Secret, etc. They also have a Hollister for the teeny boppers that fit size double zeros "00."
Once nice thing that they have that's relatively new is an enclosed play area for toddlers and preschoolers downstairs in front of Sears. It's conveniently located near Auntie Annie's Pretzels (for the kiddies) and Starbucks (for the mamas). We're regulars. -

You don't know you have a great mall until it's gone. I lived in livermore for ten years of my life, spent a lot of time in this mall and even worked here before moving to Berkeley then to Oakland. I love this mall. They dont have tacky, ghetto ass stores with airbrushed looney tunes characters!
They have good food, all of the best stores, and its kept clean and well-maintained. The people walking around are wierd and clueless but hey, it's pleasanton! Expect wierd ass "couger moms" and 10 year olds with Chanel bags...
The best thing about this mall isn't the two-story H&M, it isnt the huge Macy's...its that they have not one, but TWO sephora's! One in the center of the mall, the other is located inside JC Penny's. -

I've never seen a shopping mall with so much available "Space"
I was wondering why I couldn't find many of the stores I'm used to finding at malls...there were a lot of empty spaces up for lease.
I actually came in and out with what I needed (matching guess wallet to pair with my purse, Mac Make-up, and eyelash glue) only...and no 'extra' stuff, which I always tend to do with any mall I visit (which may be a good thing, I guess?)
Stoneridge...you have been officially categorized under my "Emergency" visit only area. I'll see you when I really, desperately, eagerly need something from you. Otherwise, until next time.... -

Please, Stoneridge Mall, for the love of God get rid of the tchotchke kiosks cluttering up the whole mall! Or at least have a policy of "no means no," when being offered hair lotion or extensions or sticky shiny things for my cell phone or bath salts.
Saying "No, thank you," with even a half-smile seems to just encourage them, and puts the customer in the awkward position of needing to be rude just to get from point A to B in the mall. Do you really want to encourage de facto rudeness towards your employees? How unfortunate.
I realize it must be disheartening to be practically chained to a kiosk all day and have people ignore you, but does yelling, "Pretty Lady! Come back!" after none-customers really sell product? Is this the best we can do?
+3 Stars for cleanliness, decent store selection, safety and plenty of parking. -

I love this mall. It's close to my school and finally the BART is close by. This is my favourite mall my first is Westfield in SF.
I like the area as well. I perhaps like this mall same as New Park mall but this one a bit better. -

I really love this mall. I have no idea if it's because I grew up going to the West Valley Mall... and anything is an upgrade from there (no offense!) but i've always enjoyed my shopping here, even to this day.
They recently made a nice little play area for the kids near sears. I saw that they even have it on the announcment on their page. As of yet, it's still a nice clean area for the children to play at when both you or your kids want to take a break from shopping.
The only downside i could say about this mall, is that they don't have a designated area for a Food Court. -

This has to be one of the best shopping centers in the east bay area. Out of all the malls in the area I come to this one without a doubt.
They have every type of store you need in a mall. Their Macys is to die for as always and their other stores are great. H&M is amazing since they added it in a few years ago! -

Oakland, CA
After my last visit here, I would agree with those who say this mall seems to be headed in the wrong direction.
It just seems like the crowd and mix of stores aren't what they were when it opened. It's falling further behind the top tier of Bay Area malls (SF's Westfield, Walnut Creek's Broadway Plaza, Stanford, and Valley Fair). Its handful of upscale stores, like Nordstrom and Coach, increasingly seem out of place. I always liked the decor, with its spacious feel, but even this is getting outdated.
And it's hard to believe they finally added the BART station, but didn't bother to add a crosswalk or mark the path to the mall. It's like they don't even really care anymore. -
Review from Dennis P.
Stoneridge Mall is definitely one of the better malls in the San Francisco Bay Area. It's located in the East Bay in the city of Pleasanton, near the intersection of the 580 and 680 freeways.
This mall has 2 floors of retail space and 5 anchor stores. The anchor stores are Macy's Men's, Macy's Women's, Nordstrom, J.C. Penney and Sears. The stores are a mixture of the usual chain stores found in just about any mall in the country, such as American Eagle Outfitters, Hot Topic, Victoria's Secret and Wet Seal.
The restaurants include such familiar names as Subway, McDonald's, Baja Fresh and Panda Express. Additionally, the sit-down, full-service restaurants are California Pizza Kitchen, P.F. Chang's China Bistro and Cheesecake Factory.
The presence of a Nordstrom store is an indication that this mall, and the general local demographics of the area, are upscale. It's clean and well-maintained. The mall management made some minor renovations in the mid 2000s (2005 or 2006) which included adding some indoor landscaping.
Parking is adequate. Just remember where you parked your car. ;-) I was here on a weekday on my last visit and it wasn't very busy, but on the weekends I can imagine that this place is hopping.
If I ever lived in Northern California again, I would definitely target this area. But for now, I'll be content to make a trip up there every now and then. :-) -
Review from Rachel S.
This mall was nothing before PF Chang's and Cheescake Factory moved in. You would have thought that two Michelin Star restaurants had moved into town with all the people that started to flock to Stoneridge (and take up the parking.)
The anchor stores are a bit depressing, and when I say a "bit" I mean a lot. The Macy's junior department is a mess, AT ALL TIMES, as is the Nordstrom shoe department. Don't even waste your time going.
Wet Seal seems to be in a perpetual state of being picked over and Forever 21 is little compared to the Sunvalley Mall in Concord (which I think is the best mall in the Bay, excluding SF.) The carpet inside of Victoria Secret is filthy. The only place I shopped at, other than WS and F21 was Fredrick's. Their prices are good and they have a nice selection.
The food court is a joke - it's a little sliver of CPK, Burger King, Auntie Anne's Pretzel, Sunrise Smoothies, and that hot dog place. Oh, there's also some salad buffet place, the name escapes me, but it's like a smaller version of Sweet Tomatoes. You're basically forced to eat at the big chains sitting outside.
Parking... Park on the Macy's junior entrance (to the right of PF Chang's) or the Macy's women's dept. entrance. Do not, I repeat, DO NOT, park near the JC Penny entrance - it's trashy and inconvenient once you get in the mall to walk around. -

It wasn't too hard to find a parking space; just go where no one wants to go to and there you go. Overall a pretty good place to shop for the kiddies, chocolates from Godiva or that dress you have to buy. Good location near the highway and easy to get to.

Im going to list what I like and dont just to make things easy
Love the new play area for children outside of Sears. Its clean and had lots of climb on toys and bead maze things for small children
Its a SIMON mall so they have a children's club that for 5$ a year gets you a free little toy for kids every time you come to the mall, a tshirt, plenty of discounts at the mall and lots of activities throughout the year
Baja Fresh - love it!
They have a Nordstroms!
Parking has never been an issue!
I do think they need a proper food court.....so strange
Free WIFI!!!!
I love that they have plenty of really comfy seating throughout the mall

So I was at the gym then went to school. During my time in class I was actually actively listening to lecture and taking decent notes, or one may have hoped. After class I ran to the computer lab to do some stuff and in the midst of all that I received an enlightening email from my babe asking if I'm able and willing to meet him at Stoneridge... my answer.. "What time?" Because of course I want to see him.
The drive was literally 20 minutes.. even shorter distance for me when I have things to do w/in San Jose! I didn't mind the drive and actually enjoy it so I got there about a few minutes before he did. We met just outside Cheesecake Factory.
As for the major chain restaurants, I see Cheesecake Factory, PF Chang's, and I believe a CPK will open there soon. Just an FYI.
So we strolled the mall, talked, and enjoyed each other's company as usual.. I love his stories.. we stopped by the Apple store, GNC, Bebe, Aldo, Game Stop, and a few jewelry type places because he's into watches.. like hella. We did stop by this place that sells nice crystal like figurines as well as bracelets, necklaces, rings, and watches.. very nice and not too expensive either so I was taking a mental picture of the items I actually would want for myself, haha.
We didn't stop in it but there's: H&M, Godiva, Guess, Forever 21, Ann Taylor, Cathy Jeans, Express, Auntie Anne's, Mrs. Field's, Cinnabon, Hallmark's, Sears, Foot Locker, Cache, Sunglass Hut, Abercrombie and Fitch.. seriously there's a lot of good stores here.. reminds me a little of Valley Fair but a more affordable version.
At the end of our walk and talk.. he made his purchase at GNC which was his original purpose for coming there. I have to admit that after listening to GNC's sales associates explain the differences and effects on these preworkouts and postworkouts dealio.. I was impressed w/ the level of knowledge they had..
We were outside. We stopped at where we met up earlier. We talked for a few more minutes. I was in his arms... I did not want to leave! A quick kiss and we went our separate ways..
For a very good and clean mall w/ good stores all around and decent eateries.. came to a fantastic mall date *hearts*
Your statement made me smile..

Fremont, CA
Stoneridge has also been my go to mall when I am in need of an item fast. Living in Fremont, Newpark is NOT an option and Valleyfair is too big when I'm trying to get in & out.
What I love about Stoneridge is that the mall has the essential stores: Nordstrom, Macy's, Sephora, Swarovski, Micheal Khors, Papyrus, H&M, Forever21, Talbots, Williams Somoma, Cache, Apple, Guess, Lucky, and Pottery Barn just to name a few. The mall is always clean and there is security always patrolling. The stores are always on the more sophisticated side so go elsewhere if you're looking for airbrush shops & what not.
There is no food court but again the mall isn' that large. There is a McDonald's, Panda Express, Hot Dog on a Stick, See's, Godiva, Subway, and Anderson's Bakery and also Nordstrom Cafe, P.F. Changs, CA Pizza Kitchen and Cheesecake Factory & more so you won't go hungry.
All in all Stoneridge is a great mall, there are enough stores to spend an afternoon shopping, yet the mall is small enough where it is easily accessible. -

Living in San Ramon, this is my home Mall.... Most of the time, it doesn't fail me. I end up leaving with something....
They have a ton of stores here and at the actual department stores, there is always some kind of sale. Normally a "Just Because" sale to lure shoppers in... like me! haha
They also have a lot of great places to eat here.
I also use to work here, and I loved it!
Awesome mall -

Danville, CA
Decent sized in-door mall with a basic selection of stores and restaurants. Parking is usually plentiful, and it's really easy to find, right off of 680 and 580.
This definitely ranks higher than nearby malls (sunvalley, etc.), but it definitely leaves something to be desired. When I really want to do some shopping I would drive over to Valley Fair in San Jose instead.
Also, for nice summer or spring-time weather, I would rather enjoy outdoor shopping at Broadway plaza in walnut creek or santana row.
While it does have all your basic stores, it doesn't have all the pizzazz like other shopping centers... everything just seems so.. basic here. From the restaurants to stores, I get bored here easily!
Also, for the hardcore shoppers and deal seekers, I'd skip this mall. I always am able to find better deals at Great Mall or VFair. -

San Leandro, CA
Nice mall. Has had quiet a remodel throughout the years i've been coming here. The mall tries to be upscale, however its not. They do have nice stores, everything is well maintained. Stoneridge doesn't have a dedicated food court section, however, they have stores spread around throughout the mall.
The new remodel to the mall done a few years back really spices up the mall. They have very nice stones for the flooring. -

Good mall with a nice selection of stores. Less hassle to get to and park than walnut creek and San Francisco. And much less pretentious.

I personalyl like this mall a lot as compared with the east bay malls around me. It tops Newpark Mall and definitely Southland Mall. I don't often see too many bops here, or ghetto people so that's definitely a plus. It's more high-end than the malls surrounding me so that's good. They have various stores that fit my style as well.

Review from Sergio G.
This place is almost my 2nd home or let's say 3rd? Can't believe I never reviewed this mall after spending countless of hours here over the years.
For the last 20 + years of my life I have always enjoyed this mall over the other East Bay malls To me this mall is much more relaxing and less stressful due to the cause of the customer base that comes here. 1 thing that stands out is that it is so much less ghetto here than let me say Southland Mall in Hayward & Bayfair in San Leandro.
So now that I am on top of the hill in Castro Valley it only takes a ride down the hill to get here. I spend most of my time in Dublin/Pleasanton anyways so why should I drive to Gayward's Southland mall or Gayfair in San Leandro. At least when I come here I can enjoy the diff varieties of some medium to high end shopping @ Nordstroms, Macy's, Coach and pretty good dining options within the mall or within 10 minutes of driving.
Yes this is not the perfect mall either but to me it's favorite.Listed in: Where I don't mind spending…

Review from Ivy R.
On a rainy weekday afternoon I took the opportunity to take a walk around the mall by myself.
Its a nice way to spend a lunch break from the office. Plus I wanted a pretzel at some point during the walk.
During the week is very quiet in here. If you want to know when to go see Santa with your kids? Go on a Wednesday afternoon around 2pm. The line goes really fast.
There are so many stores in this mall too. Since I don't walk that fast anymore I was able to do some real old fashioned window shopping.
Once I got my pretzel I was able to find a comfy seat at one of the many seating areas. There were large comfy couches and chairs.
While I munched my pretzel two old ladies shared a couch in front of me sipping giant cokes and not talking to each other. They looked very serene in their black Christmas sweaters with tacky decorations sewn to them.
I have been here when its crazy busy and its not my thing. Usually busy places where annoying people are shopping is not my favorite thing in the world.
So I highly recommend coming here for a nice rainy day stroll. Especially if you're almost 9 months pregnant and need to maybe eat a pretzel and then sit in a comfy chair for a moment too.
Oh, and there are some very nice stores here as well. -

Gotta admit - I love this mall. Even though it's a biiit of a drive from where I live, I'm usually down for a trip here with friends! It's 100million times better than the malls in Milpitas and Newark, so I'm always down for Stoneridge. Clean malls with somewhat nice people? A huge variety of stores? Plenty of parking [usually]? Yes please!
It's always a bit of a culture shock [to me] when I come here. I feel like everybody dresses up to go to the mall, and personally, I like being on the more comfortable side when I'm shopping. But to each their own! Oh, and there's no food court, which for me, is kind of unfortunate, because if I'm not in the mood for McDonalds, there isn't much around, in terms of cheap eateries. Oh well, this is the mall I come to to shop, not to eat. :P [Unless I'm in the mood for Cheesecake Factory..] -

This place is ok, came here with my bff & her fiancée. I didn't realize it was kinda small, & parking is plenty yet full.
Came here on a weekend so it was fairly crowded. -

Stoneridge holds a lot of great childhood memories for me. My mom and Aunt Shannon would take my cousins, sister and I here what seemed like once a week to do some clothes shopping or whatever else they needed. Those outings will always hold a special place in my heart.
Fast forward umpteen years, Stoneridge has really become a force to be reckoned with adding in some high-end retailers, sprucing up the place, etc. Sure it's now a hub of sorts welcoming all walks of life that have manners or act as if they were born in a barn but I make due.
Stoneridge may be a bit of a drive for me but it makes for a fantastic outing when hubby and I need something to do.Listed in: Shopping Trips

Review from Denise F.
This is my favorite mall in the East Bay, there are tons of cool stores, friendly & helpful employees, good food choices that range from snacks to a full on dinner with drinks! They have all of the stores geared towards younger people, as well as stores geared for the older crowd..there's something for everyone here. Its always been clean, and they are constantly putting in new stores, so its never boring & you're not always stuck shopping at the same stores for what seems like an eternity.
I really liked the No Fear store, but the prices were kinda steep, and the selection was better online, but I'm still sad to see it go! They also have a LoveSac store, I LOOOOOVE to stop in there, chat with the girl that works there, and take a little break on the comfy sacs for a while, send a few texts, check my email...finish up resting, then be on my way! Their Macy's & Nordstrom stores are also really nice too with a wide selection of shoes, handbags, accessories, clothing & men's stuff. I don't think I've ever left this mall empty handed, even when I intend to just walk around, window shop, and waste some time, I just can't resist.
Parking is always easy to find, I always manage to somehow find the best spots near the front door..maybe I'm really lucky, or maybe this is just a really cool mall where a lot of good things happen!!
Oh yeah, and if you want a good laugh, check out the mall security guys that buzz around on Segways with their little bike helmets & sunglasses on hehe...reminds me of the movie "Paul Blart - Mall Cop", every time I see those guys, and makes me secretly giggle inside! -

Great mall, with cool stores and restaurants. Sucky part....finding a park, Especially during the holidays. -
Review from Tisha K.
I adore this mall. The sights, the smells, the candor of this place just makes me so happy to shop here! I love the fact that I can always find something at the right price to make me feel like a million bucks.
But I abhor the maniacs at the HerStyler booth outside of the Apple store trying to get me to buy one of their shiteous hair straighteners that sell at $200 when I've talked down a former employee to $75 and a hair serum for $75 that I could get elsewhere for $10. Herstyler is a NOstyler! Down on pushy sales people!
Other than that, this place is great! The sales people here are generally quite knowledgeable and make shopping a breeze. I especially love that they have a Cheesecake Factory here.. woo hoo for cheesecake and martini shopping breaks! :D -

I love Stoneridge mall. It's where I used to do my childhood fashion shows in the Nordstrom's kids section ;) 15% discount to all clothes you buy so that was cool.
I feel like this mall is larger compared to Valley Fair, but similar in its "upscale" label.
The crowd of people that usually go here are: Caucasian mostly and young adults [early 20's].
No food court. They're dining services are spread around the whole mall, but are usually grouped with each other.Listed in: Shopping Sprees
