Love this place, the atmosphere is great! They have speakers playing great music outside and the out door fire place and bar is great! The food is excellent and most entrees come in small and large portions - the sides are amazing!

Went there for a baby shower today. Food is decent. The cornbread muffin is really good. The others are usual fare. There is a Chicken Marsala dish in the buffet and I can't say I like it. I do have very high expectations on chicken marsala though. Will definitely go back to check out their regular restaurant menu.

The ambiance in the restaurant is really nice. Convenient parking. One thing though, traffic heading to the restaurant can be a bit of a hassle since Wal Mart is in the same lot.

We ended up in Raynham during the October snow storm when we had no electricity ( all the way from Auburn).  We stayed at the Marriot next door, which we have done several times and had enjoyed this restaurant.  I decided to order the food to go.  Two burgers for the kids at around $8.79 each.  Let's start there.  They had to have been frozen.  Not one once of juice and very, very dry.  Where did the toppings go that we ordered?  Flat, deflated bun.  Looking a little like a fast food burger, which would of tasted way better, and about $6.00 cheaper, each.  French fries.  Contained in a closed container.  They will not stay crispy like that. They were cold and soggy.  Another kid ordered the pizza.  Tasted like Ellios, which I totally hate.  I had a nice, salty $7.00 lobster bisque.  Do the chefs even taste this s**t before they serve it?  Hubby liked the wings.  We shared a large greek salad.  It was ok.  Lots and lots of iceburg lettuce and a few things thrown on top, not enough dressing.
I actually did not complain, which was hard to do spending $55.00 on garbage.  We just went without heat for a few days, had the flu and were just happy to be alive.
In a word, don't go here.

Been here numerous times when they first opened it was really good, but then they went down hill. Last time I was there 3 out of the 5 of us got over cooked burned food. When we tried to say something to the waitress the excuse was the cooks weren't paying attention because the game was on. SERIOUSLY! The manager came by apologized and took the meals off the ticket. Won't be going back there even to have drinks.

I've eaten at Stoneforge about a dozen times as I used to work in the area. For lunch, it's delicious. They have great sandwich/salad/soup options that are all served in generous portions. They also give you some of their warm bread with take out, which I appreciate. I went for dinner this past weekend as I've always been a fan of the tavern-style atmosphere. It's a nicer version of your standard pub with an "old New England" cozy feel to it. I wanted to check out the dinner fare. I'm giving this review a rating of 3 stars because part of our meal was great and part of it was just okay. First of all, the place was packed on a Friday at 7 pm (to be expected). We waited the 45 minutes and were seated right at 7:45 in a small booth near the bar area. It was loud and rowdy with people standing up drinking around our table, but again, that's be expected at a pub on a Friday so I won't knock them for that. Service was quick and pleasant considering how busy they were. Our drinks came quickly as did the bread and salad. My entree, the blackened chicken pasta, was very good. It had spinach and roasted red peppers in a creamy sauce. I ate half and took the rest home as the portion was generous. My husband, however, was underwhelmed by their meatloaf. It did look a bit dry and sort of like slabs of beef on a plate and wasn't really hot. But, the menu is huge, so I'd return for dinner and either try something else, or eat on their more "formal" side of the restaurant in their Publick House which has a different menu entirely.

No complaints about this place.  If you're looking for a quality, inexpensive meal at a place with a decent beer selection, this is a good place to go.  It's a bit above what you'd expect from the typical big American restaurant chains like TGI Friday's.  Good place if you're staying at the Courtyard across the street and looking for a cheap, hassle-free meal or a drink.

Went here with a party of 10 on a Sunday afternoon for drinks and food.  It took a little time for our table to be prepared (we did not have reservations) but many of us ordered drinks from the bar while waiting.
After we were seated and given menus, the server took another round of drink orders, then took our food orders.  We had a variety of appetizers, a pizza, some full dinners, some sandwiches.  Things are fine.  Nothing special.  Bread is served with a super garlicky cheesy dip which nearly knocked me out, others thought it was good.
Nothing here was memorable, neither food nor service were horribly bad or wonderfully good.  The artwork is freaky, some Emilio Garcia poster that makes me think of scary clowns, and another poster of a risque young woman and a total pervert checking out her reflection in a little pond.
Just kind of creepy all around.

My wife and I have been there a few times and it is very solid food. We ate in the pub/tavern area and it was friendly down to earth feel..just the way we like it. I had lamb and it was tender and tasty...my wife had salmon and liked it as well. Again ...solid food and friendly service = good experience.

We have enjoyed the outside entertainment in the summer...they have a patio and outdoor bar and it is a great time!

    Seeyou there.

I have been to Stoneforge Tavern to see my friend play in the band, GQ and the Lady.  They only perform here every once and awhile, but it's really nice to sit outside on the patio while enjoying the band, some food, and drinks.  Last time I went to Stoneforge, my friends and I shared the Fried Calamari and the Chicken and Gorgonzola pizza.  The flavors were better than I expected in each of these dishes.  Our drinks were also well made, ranging from beer to mixed drinks.  The prices are fair for both drinks and the food.  I like Stoneforge because the environment and atmosphere are both fun and relaxed without being "dive-y."

The Publick House seems like a pleasant restaurant to have dinner; then, you can go over to the Tavern for drinks with your friends or on a date.

I took my wife and sister recently because I've been there a few times before a while ago and it was good. However our last experience was not that great. We sat in the fine dining part but they sat us next to the window where there was a band playing, making in less of a fine dining experience. The food was OK, but the potatoes were not hot.

We went for an early dinner the resturant (Pub side)was not crowded, the service was okay, the food was only fair.  I ordered the swordfish well done, my daughter ordered chicken parm with extra cheese and my husband ordered the steak with sauteed lobster.  We got none of these things, my swordfish was okay but certainly not well done as I like and had ordered, the chicken parm did not have extra cheese it only had a minimal amount of cheese topping and the lobster did not come.  All of these could have been easily fixed but really should have been done correctly the first time,   On the positive side the bread and dipping sauce was really good.  Not sure we will be going back.

Maybe i ordered the wrong things...gave it 2 chances- pizza one night and baked cod the next night. Both gross. Very bland. Just not good.Seems like a good place to have drinks if you are with a group. Since i am here for work- i'll be heading over to chili's for a no brainer decent meal. Perhaps this is a better place for burgers and steaks. The staff was very nice and friendly.

We ate in the tavern. The food was great. I ordered the Buffalo Mac n' Cheese. It wasn't what I expected at all, but it was every bit as good as the server said it would be. Overall everyone enjoyed the food, however the service was less than adequate. We were there in the middle of an afternoon and they were not very busy but the server came back too infrequently and we never got place settings for the kids. Everyone was pleasant, they just weren't attentive enough. If it wasn't for the service this would have been a fantastic visit..

Can be cozy in the winter b/c of tavern or lodge-like atmosphere and fun in the summer b/c outdoor fire place on at night. a pretty nice restaurant for the area (b/c there are not many non-chain or non-fast food retaurants in the area) but nothing special, very average. food is okay service is okay.

I'm a teacher and if this were a student they would be a b- or c+ average student.

We came here on Saturday night 7/11/09 for dinner around 7-ish and the place was bustling with people inside & at their outdoor patio. We went to the host stand and were seated right away.
Our waiter came right over &- took our drink order and was great the whole time we were there, They had a a great menu,  alot to choose from and also had nightly specials as well.
We had ordered nachos as our appetizers, and that had came right away. but our dinner which were just cheeseburgers took about 20-25 minutes. The food was good but my Sweet potatoe fires were soggy.
I would have given a better review if it was not for the wait for our actually dinner.

    I'm reviewing the Publick House!

Great place if you don't have the budget (and/or) time to visit a Flemings, Capital Grille, etc...

Can get loud on the weekends, but thats ok. They have a decent wine list and every meal I've gotten from there is great. My favorite - the House Delmonico will go down as one of my favorite steaks ever. The sides are ok - but the desserts are great! Make sure you save some room!

Stoneforge in Raynham has got it spot on for me. Been a patron a number of times with no complaints....we  had drinks, dinners, apps etc from the bar numerous times. Prices are reasonable, there is a bartender could be a manager that talks like Chris Kattan only slower and only has one tone....mature crowd...it's nice to get away from the teeny boppers. Great selection of single malts and the food has always been good. Nothing to go nuts over but reliable, especially the pizzas.

Just went here for the first time last week after hearing good things about it... there's another location in Easton, MA too.

Bustling atmosphere, not the place to go if you want a quiet, secluded meal. The open space dining area is in the same room as the bar.  Reasonably-priced.

Awesome time!  The waitress was excellent, and sometimes that's hard to come by with a 21-year old couple, but she treated us like we were wealthy, picky 50-year olds (which is greatly appreciated).  We got the spinach and artichoke dip for an app-- served with grilled wheat pita points... delicious!  I got a burger, it was huge! ( think it was 10 oz), served on pita... I couldn't eat the whole thing of course.

Even though we were stuffed after the rolls and app and entrees, we had to get dessert... the fried ice cream is good!

After dinner we wanted to grab a drink, but the indoor bar was full.  They have a smaller side bar where they also serve a full menu.  We went outside to the courtyard and fireplace where XM radio's The Heart channel was playing -- so corny but cute! Overall, a very enjoyable time.

I've been to the Stoneforge twice already because I went to go see my boyfriend's band play there - GQ and the Lady (check them out on FB). Both times have been awesome! I sat outside on the patio and if you're there during the summer, get there early to reserve a table or else you might be waiting for more than an hour. If you're lucky to get a table - then it's yours for the whole night :-)

The food is really good and reasonably priced. I shared the Chicken and Gorgonzola pizza and Calamari with my friends and we were very satisfied with the meal. Another night, I tried the Grilled Swordfish with onion rings and a Caesar salad. I guess I've never tried swordfish before and was not overly impressed with it. It tasted over cooked and chewy. The onion rings tasted powdery for some odd reason. The best part of the meal was the Caesar salad which was lettuce tossed with croutons and dressing. Next time, I'll just stick to pizza or the kebobs.

Went with a friend after a yarn crawl...I had the french onion soup and a frosty sam's seasonal. Perfect after a cold afternoon spent rummaging through an unheated shack for bargains.

This is not the authentic New England tavern you picture. Rather it's a newly created large, barn-like space with a cozy atmosphere and electric fireplace.

Our young waitress was not entirely attentive to our table...I'd like to think it wasn't that my friend and I are female. I really would.

I will return for a second visit and determine if there should be a third!

In a town full of big corporation chain restaurants, this seems like a great alternative, and when we first moved here 2 years ago I was excited the first few times we went there. After eating there a handful of times we came to the conclusion that it's "just ok". It's always pretty packed and there can be long waits sometimes too. The food is fine but nothing special at all. Probably better for the drinks crowd than it is for families with kids, which is what we are. There always seems to be a lot of after work groups there getting their drink on, and it does get pretty loud, which is fine if the food is worth it. I would love to see them improve the quality of their food for sure.

I came here for drinks and appetizers on a Saturday night. My friends got there first so I told them to go ahead and start without me. When I got there half an hour later, I saw them with menus still in front of them. I told them "you really shouldn't have waited for me!" and they said "we didn't.. we ordered our drinks 20min ago".  I was shocked for two reasons, 1: because they had been waiting for their drinks (2 beers, 1 cosmo, 1 sangria) for 20min and 2: the waiter was no where to be seen and my friends couldn't complain even if they wanted too. About 5 minutes later, the waiter came out to serve some other customers and he apologetically said to us "sorry, your drinks will be out in a bit". We appreciated they hadn't forgotten about us but a little explanation of why they were so slow would've been nice.. If they had to replace the keg or something like that, we would've understood.. but the fact that none of the drinks came out suggests to me that it wasn't a keg issue... Our second round of drinks came out a little quicker, but that also took about 15min..

Their food was ok.. I've definitely had better bar/pub food. I expected something better since I had heard Stoneforge had decent food.

I'll give them 3stars coz the mojito that I had actually tasted pretty good, and their outdoor patio has a nice ambiance.

I wouldn't mind coming back for drinks but hopefully service will be a little quicker next time!

Stoneforge has pretty good food and that's what it does best.  However, I think the whole setup of the tavern is a hassle and not worth it on the weekend.  I belong to a number of meetup groups and we sometimes plan dinners.  We wanted to go here on a Sat night and Stoneforge would not take reservations, eventhough there are 15 of us.  When we got there, the hostess asked if we had reservations, despite being told on the phone that they didn't take reservations!  So, instead, we got to stand outside for an hour.  Once we were seated, I felt the whole experience was rushed as they are trying to turn tables as quickly as possible.  There is a fairly decent beer selection, but the inside bartender made my friend's bahama mama incorrectly three times (she had gotten a good one from the outside bartender during our wait).
This place is wildly popular and so I think that Stoneforge thinks it can get away with some attitude with the service because people will keep coming.  However, if I return, it will only be on a weekday.

I've eaten here on a number of occasions and have generally been satisfied.  However, we found the service to be below par on our most recent visit.

Our server was inexperienced, had too many tables, or both.  I asked for a glass of wine as my dinner entree was delivered, and it never showed up until I finished my meal. My companion was never offered Parmesan to go with her pasta dish.  Dessert arrived well after the coffee, and no coffee refills were ever offered.  The server never stopped by to see if we needed anything.

The food at Stone Forge is generally good, and the menu is broad.  However, it is not a particularly good value.  My plate of scallops, at $21, was tiny.  This was the standard-size plate--I would hate to see what the small plate looked like.

As other reviewers have noted, Stone Forge is extremely popular.  It seems to be resting on its laurels.

My wife and I recently had dinner here on a Monday night and had a very good meal.  Hadn't been here in 2 to 3 years but I'm glad to see it hasn't changed much.  Service was average but food was better than I expected.  Clam chowder was thick and creamy and the Chicken Saltimbocca was delicious.  (Looking forward to going back some day soon to get that plate again.)  Prices are reasonable.  My only complaint would be the strange odor I kept smelling - I'm guessing it was something that had fallen under or into the seat of the booth we were sitting at.  Management needs to schedule a day to give the dining room a good cleaning.

They must have a problem with the beer lines, because the beer is always warm.  They do have a better than average selection of draft beer.  It's been hit or miss with the bar staff.  Some of the bartenders don't want to talk to you unless you look like a well off businessman, and others would fit in working at a college bar.  This is the only bar that I've left a penny for a tip because the service was so bad.  I will say this, their cheese pizza is one of the best around.  I've had some great times here, and some bad times...it's an average place to eat or drink.

My family and I went there twice.  Both times they got the order wrong.  The manager gave us a free dinner voucher for five to kiss and make up (so to speak).  So wrong that when the manger came out with another free dinner vaguer for five, my dad tore it up in front of him.  I never went back.

    So when went wrong?
    I ordered a hamburger and I got a steak.
My mom ordered some grilled chicken and got an overcooked meal.
The waiter refused to take it back and my party was the only customers in the building at the time.  After arguing with him for a solid 15 minutes, my dad stormed into the kitchen demanding to see the manager.  The manager said he would fix it but it time was an issue for us and gave us the voucher.
Ten months later we went back and our meal was once a gain over cook this time every one in our party had an overcooked meal.  My steak had a thick coat of char on it, for example.  After we asked to speak to the manger several times and when he finally showed up he gave us another voucher.  My dad tore it up in full view of the manager and the people waiting to be seated.  The confused customers asked what happened and my mom explained.  I have never saw my parents that mad before.  -1 stars for this poor excuse for a restaurant.

This is by far my favorite comfort food restaurant. I have been a dedicated customer for years, and even though I now live in the Boston area, I still make arrangements to meet up with friends here. I've never had a bad meal at this place, & I've been lucky enough that the staff have always been friendly and attentive every visit. I'd definitely recomment the buffalo chicken pizza or the fish & chips, both are def yummy!

I had such a blast here!!!

A co-worker wanted to go here for her b-day. I was skeptical because it was so far away from downtown Boston, and I'm always skeptical of places outside of the T's reach.

We got there around 7PM on Friday (not the best idea). The wait was 2 hours for the outdoor seating for our party of 6 with no reservations. We also had a bit of trouble with the bartender in the outside bar. While waiting for the table, myself and the 2 others already there from the party went inside to get drinks, with no problem. None of us were carded. When 2 others arrived they got drinks from the bar outside and one had a recently expired license. They took her drink away and refused to serve her for the rest of the night (she had just had her 31st b-day the previous weekend). In addition to this, the bartender told the general manager, who quite intrusively kept an eye on our table for a good portion of the night. It was quite annoying. We remembered our pre-21 year old days and got her a few drinks this way or that...
Despite this annoyance we had such a good time eating, drinking and dancing. The Martinis were fantasic, collectively we would recommend the Ecstacy Martini, it was a dark blue / purple color, it was grape vodka, blue cauracso (I know I spelled that wrong), grenadine and a splash of soda water. I also enjoyed the Strawberry martini. We got a ton of apps, I most enjoyed one of the dips, I think it was a buffalo chicken cheese dip with pita and regular chips. For dinner I had chicken parm with pasta. It was really good and huge. I took more then half home because it was so big. Our waiter was ok, he got all our orders right, but there were times when we needed more drinks, but he wasn't bad.
They also had this great band that played some "oldies but goodies" as well as modern songs, all of which were dancable (and dance, we did!!). The fireplace gave it a cozy touch too.
Overall, aside from our friend being rejected from drinks we had a great time. I don't even think we waited 2 hours, probably an hour and the band and atmosphere was so great that we barely even noticed waiting. The food was good, the martini's were great and the music and dancing was great. I would definately recommend this place. Its about 40 minutes from Boston, with no T stop remotely close to this place, so remember to bring a Designated Driver, because the martinis are sweet and strong, so its easy to get really drunk really quick... ENJOY!!!!
