Stone Park is close to our new home in the burbs. It's such an idyllic little piece of land, and my face lights up every time we walk/drive by.
I grew up in the boonies of Western MA, even went to college near there. Moving to the big bad city was slightly overwhelming, the constant noise was just something I wasn't used to. So moving back out to the suburbs a few months ago was a breath of fresh air for us. As it was nearly winter, we weren't sure what to expect from this park, it seemed pretty desolate.
Until lately. The high school baseball, softball, and little league games are daily. Spectators line the fields in their lawn chairs, little kids play in the playground area over on the side. You can hear laughter, cheering, people talking, it's all so disgustingly cute and domestic. And so very me.
