So....I'm googling "customized birthday invitations" and what pops up? Stinkerpants Designs. What the heck is a Stinkerpants? Amazing, customized artwork, is what it is!
I could rant and rave all day long, but I will get to the basics:
I went to the website and e-stalked Sara. (That's the 'Stinkerpants' Lady!) She responded; we talked about what was needed and what I could afford, and the process. BAM! I sent Sara a deposit and she immediately got to the drawing board. Haaaa!! Emails were sent on a regular basis. So make sure you have a smart phone or are attached to your computer/laptop/netbook/iPad or device of your choice. The rough draft is VERY rough! But you can ask her questions and give her suggestions all along the way. I was pretty weary that the invites wouldn't look like my boys. When she sent me the final copy, I was a bit disappointed. But only because it was so simple. All her stuff on her website is mostly wedding invites with alot of scenery. Mine were plain (just like I asked for), basic and simple. They had to grow on me. 'AMAZINGLY PERFECT' pretty much sums up my experience with 'Stinkerpants Designs.' I wish there was the option of rating 'Stinkerpants Designs' more than 5 stars, because simply put, Sara and her amazing business deserve an infinite number of stars. Truly.
From the moment I came across Sara's website (which is incredibly detailed, easy to navigate, and overall beautiful in itself), I knew I would be working with someone detail oriented, organized, and a pleasure to work with overall. And I wasn't wrong in any regard. From the first inquiry email, Sara has been nothing but professional, fun, and incredibly kind in her work with us. Our 'Save the Dates' for our wedding this October have turned out so awesome, we are both using 'Stinkerpants Designs' for our invitations/rsvps in the coming weeks, as well as having a poster printed of our 'Save the Date' print (because yes, we love it THAT much).
Sara constantly stays in communication with you, listening carefully to your wants and desires, working to give you EXACTLY what you hope for (and more!). Her ability to recreate you and your family/pets in illustration is remarkable to say the least. She is a truly talented and gifted artist, and really works with you to deliver a unique and special final project (for whatever occasion you are coming to her with). In fact she feels like a good friend or family member that really cares about delivering you the best product possible!
She's helped to make our special day that much more special! Thank you Sara!
You won't be disappointed. In fact you'll be blown away! Promise promise! -

We hired Stinkerpants Designs (aka Sara) to do our Save the Date Cards. If I could give her 10 stars I definitely would...
Sara is so talented! She did an amazing job and was easy to work with. During the design process we brainstormed back and forth via email until everything was just right. I asked her to change the font about 10 different times and she didn't even flinch. When she sent the final proof over I actually cried because it was so good. I cant wait to send them out to family and friends. I know they will be a huge hit.
Im currently scheming on ways to hire her for another project...
UPDATE: 12/08 - We had Sara make our holiday cards. We loved them and so did everyone who received them. Now I just need to have a baby so she can do my shower invites :) -

I wish I could give Sara 5 stars for the products and another 5 stars for how awesome she was. She designed amazingly personal and creative wedding invitations that we will cherish forever. We've gotten tons of compliments on them. I know that some people want more traditional invitations, so her save the dates and thank you notes are incredible as well.
In addition, Sara was a pleasure to work with. She emails back extremely quickly, listens to you if you have ideas or offers up her own if you don't. As a small business owner, she really cares that her product is the best it can be. When she got my invitations back from the printer, apparently there was some sort of problem and the ink looked funny on the page....to be honest, I have no idea what the problem is, because Sara didn't wait for me to complain -- When she got the invitations back and wasn't satisfied with the result, she took it upon herself to correct the problem by getting them reprinted. I was so impressed by the way that she handled this, and didn't wait for me to complain but instead held the final product up to her own high standards.
Sara was so wonderful that I also asked her to make funny "fact" napkins for the wedding, and my cousin loved her work so much that Sara is making her save the dates! If you're looking for a way to make your event totally personal, definitely contact Sara. I couldn't recommend her highly enough. Just a warning, after working with her you'll totally want to be friends with her in real life. -

OMG. I just got the proofs for our wedding invites from Sara and I am so in love with them, I can hardly contain myself.
I found Sara on Yelp a few months ago and not only did she have the cutest website ever, she is very quick to respond via email and will answer any and all questions you have. When I was finally ready to design the invites, I chatted with Sara over the phone and even though I had no clue what I wanted to do, she was able to pull together my random comments and suggestions and create a design that reflected my fiance and I. Since we are getting married at a winery, she had the two of us standing in the vineyard with the winery in the background. Our RSVPs have our cat and dog holding a pennant and wearing the shirt of our respective alma maters. I was so excited after I finished talking to Sara and the best part was that she seemed really excited to be doing our drawings as well. In a few weeks, Sara sent us a final product that is too adorable for words!
I haven't told anyone about our invites but I couldn't help showing my dental hygenist my email from Sara while I was getting my teeth cleaned. Next thing I knew, the whole office staff and my dentist were standing over me admiring the proofs from my phone. I say this is a good sign of how my wedding guests will react once their invites arrive in the mail. I can't wait to send them out!!
Out of all the wedding invitation possiblities out there, I am so lucky to have found Stinkerpants. It really is so much fun to have something designed just for you and your special event. Thank you Sara!! -

Looking for a way to personalize your wedding invitation? Stinkerpants Designs is a great option to consider if you want to be unique and have some fun with your invites. After going through all the invitation websites and reviewing an endless number of designs, we opted for Stinkerpants, and it was certainly the best decision we could make.
Sara, the mastermind behind Stinkerpants, was absolutely a delight to work with. We spoke over the phone multiple times, and she was extremely mindful of our requests and constraints. She made sure to give us multiple options and was extremely responsive to any questions and requests we had. Sara was very hands-on throughout the process, and I even think she was even more excited about drawing our portraits than we were!
Needless to say, we were extremely happy and satisfied with the end result, and even more grateful of Sara's professionalism and dedication to her work.
Certainly two very big thumbs up from me!Listed in: My Wedding List

I wish I could change up the number of stars on this Stinkerpants review, just to be different from all of the 5 star reviews, but I just can't. Sara is AMAZING to work with!! My fiance and I hired her to make our save the dates (she will also be doing our invites in a few months), and she was so easy to work with, so prompt in her responses to our email communications, and really understood what we were trying to do and pulled it off flawlessly. We had minor changes to our drawing (we never discussed clothing, and she drew us in Gap attire so we wouldn't be naked, which got a good laugh out of my fiance).
I also new exactly when our guests received our STDs since I was bombarded with emails and phone calls on how cute/original/awesome they were. One of my friends hung it on her refrigerator because it "makes her smile", and another friend is considering hiring Sara to do a family portrait of her, her boyfriend, and their dog.
In the stressful mess that is wedding planning, it's refreshing to know that your invites/save the dates/thank you cards/whatever else you may need will be taken care of without needing to stress over it or interfere with the process. I wish all wedding vendors were as pleasurable to work with. -

If you think that Stinkerpants only does stationary, invitations, and thank you cards stuff, think again! Although she certainly does a great job with her wedding products, Sara is a jack of many trades, which she proved by making us an amazing advertising poster for an upcoming academic symposium.
We hired Stinkerpants Designs to create a poster for UCLA School of Law's Journal of International Law and Foreign Affairs' 12th Annual Symposium. As you can see from the attached image, she did a fantastic job. Because we are law students and not artists like Sara, we gave her very little direction about how we wanted the thing to look. Well, she took her creative ball and ran with it and ended up making a very snazzy poster! Not only does the poster look great in its tiny gif form, but it also looks awesome blown up to a 3 foot by 5 foot poster!
In addition, Sara's customer service qualities can't be beat. I'll admit it-- we were a pretty demanding client to deal with, because we had her change things around (when various panelists canceled, etc) at least 5 times. She processed all of our needed changes within hours of me sending her an apologetic email about it. Now that's service!
Moral of the story, what ever kind of graphic designing you need, Stinkerpants Designs is the business to have it done. THANKS STINKERPANTS!!!! -

Not only does she have mad designs, but she is sooo cool and accommodating. She created the thankyou cards for our wedding back in February.
I was thinking of using the whole nautical theme, cuz Nick is in the Navy. So while we were brainstorming,I thought, wouldn't it be cool to have our own ship? I suggested having Nick and I pose in front of one with him in his formals and me in my dress... enter the McG-D! Nick had a lot of input too! Not initially though, cuz I wanted to keep it a surprise, but Natalie and secrets don't mix.
I can't believe how much the illustration looks like us! With Nick's chin and my dimples. I'm even wearing my wedding band. My dress is perfect too! When sending proofs back and forth, Sara was kind enough to cover up my dress so Nick wouldn't get a sneek peek!
And on the back it reads "This card was made from Scratch especially for Nick and Nat" I'm honoured!
I'm so in love with the final outcome! Thanks so much Sara for your patience, you are a true talent! Like I said before, If I had it in the budget, I would have gotten the whole wedding suite done... but I know we will work together on the future projects! -

Cute, fun, double-cute! Sara Olsher is incredibly talented! She made me some thank-you cards for my upcoming wedding, and I could not be happier with the result. She is easy to work with, great at communicating before completing the project, and (most of all) has a unique and adorable style in her artwork. This is definitely not the only project she'll do for me!

I cannot believe that I am JUST writing this review. Sara is BEYOND awesome. She did the invitations for our welcome party for our wedding. She listened to my ideas and ran with them producing the most amazing invitations.
Brides, vendors can be a headache. They don't return calls, they don't listen and they overcharge. Sara is a breath of fresh air. You feel like she cares and that she wants your invitations to be a reflection of you, your style and your thoughts about your special day. Hire her immediately! -

We won a custom portrait from Sara and could not be happier with the result! She was quick to reach out to me after I won and asked a bunch of questions to capture our personalities with her drawing. She even added our two wonderful puppies! The process was really easy and I was surprised how quickly she was done. I felt like we were treated the same as all her paying customers. I will definitely recommend her to engaged friends and anyone else looking for something unique!

I can't believe my luck in finding Stinkerpants to design invitations for my rehearsal dinner. The animated version of us was so perfect, it has become one of my favorite "wedding related" projects. Sara, the artist behind Stinkerpants, worked hard to get it exactly how I wanted, the turnaround time was rapid and the quality was excellent. I had such a great experience that I had Sara design our thank you cards too!! And they are just as gorgeous as the invites. I keep staring at them and thinking "this is the cutest thing ever!" My only regret is that I didn't find her sooner, she would have definitely been designing my save the dates as well!!! (and who knows what else?). Don't miss this opportunity to have a fun, unique, high quality design made especially for you. I don't know what the going rate for this type of work is, but I felt she was totally reasonable as well.

Sarah was really fabulous. We wanted to work with her on our save the date cards as well as get them out fast. Since we used one of the backgrounds that was pre-prepared she worked quickly to get us our cards. I think she sped everything along into less than 2 weeks. Pretty amazing for custom design. Later on she also modified the design into thank you cards for us. She was a real pleasure to work with, set realistic deadlines, always met them and communicated well. Her design was a big hit with our guests. We received tons and tons of compliments on the unique save the dates.

When I first saw Sara's design I was so sad that I was already married. I mean I love my husband but her stuff is so cute - and I had already sent out my Save the dates AND thank you notes. So I tucked her into the back of my mind and wondered when I would be able to find an excuse to hire her.
About a year later I had my answer. I found out I was pregnant and I knew that I wanted Sara to design my Baby Shower Invitations. She was wonderful to work with and did a great job revising the original version when my superstitious mother did not like the owl that I asked Sara to put in there, I had no idea Owls were such bad omens - they are such smart and cute animals!! Anyway, I asked Sara to change it and really gave her little direction. I just told her to put another cute animal there (which is pretty ambiguous) and she did it!! Yeah for Stinkerpants! She even gave me some of the illustrations she drew for me so my paper products (favor tags, shower games...) would all match!
Sara is a great deal for the quality of work, custom illustrations and awesome customer service you receive. -

Sara designed the invitations for our recent fundraiser. She was a miracle worker. She took in our ideas and executed them a million times better than we had imagined. She's clever, creative, very detail oriented and very reasonable priced! Such an amazing designer!! We'd recommend her to anyone!

We hired Stinkerpants Designs (Sara) to do our save the dates. I wanted something fun and different than a typical save the date...and this is exactly what I got! They came out better than I could have EVER imagined! She captured the story of our engagement in Disneyland as well as the celebration in SF for our upcoming wedding. She was super EASY to work with. Very organized & extremely responsive. She truly takes pride in her work and has allot of great ideas! I could not wait to send them out. Guest have been calling me saying these are the BEST save the dates they have ever gotten & they love them! Thank you Sara!

Sara is an amazing artist. She had never met me, my fiance, or our dog, and with a few simple photographs I sent her as well as a description of what I wanted, she created the most amazing Save-the-Date cards I have ever seen. The drawing looks just like us and is more than I could have imagined. I was familiar with her work and thought I knew what to expect, but was still extremely pleasantly surprised at the results. I got compliments from so many of my guests. Sara really works with you to make a product she will be proud of and knows you will love.
She does invitations, thank-you notes, and other products as well. You definitely have to check her out! -

I first discovered Sara's talents at her own wedding last year, and ... let's just put it this way, I was floored. I was beginning to plan my upcoming wedding in Copenhagen, Denmark, and once I witnessed Sara's creation I knew I had found our designer! Our first challenge was to notify our guests of our upcoming nuptials - well in advance, so that they could make their travel plans accordingly. Sara created a STD card to acommodate both of our Danish and English-speaking guests, as well as a STD magnet to accompany. Many of our guests, (on both sides of the Atlantic), commented on how they loved the design -- and she was an international hit! Shortly afterwards, we contacted her to design our official invitation, Rehearsal Dinner and RSVP cards. Again, the challenge of designing for a bilingual guest list posed a problem, but Sara proposed a beautiful design of the church we were to be married in which would unite all guests: English on one side, Danish on the other. The design was simple, fresh, creative and ... very much "us"! Sara is a joy to work with, and I highly recommend her to any future bride!

I first discovered Stinkerpants Designs at a Wedding Details event held in San Francisco. My amazing wedding florist Karen of Huckleberry Designs invited me, and I figured, oh why not check it out. It was a small event,but enjoyable nevertheless especially when I came across Sara and her fun, animated, and whimsical designs! It took me all but two seconds to decide that I wanted to use her to make our Wedding Thank you cards! IF I hadn't already sent out Save the Dates, I probably would have requested that she do those also! Her designs are soo fun, unique, and personal to her clients. For our thank you cards, Sara drew a picture of me and my husband in front of Old St. Hilary's church (him in his tux, and me in my wedding dress) in Tiburon which is where our ceremony was. We were sooo pleased with how it turned out. If you want something a little different, fun, cute-sy, and personal to you for your greeting cards, thank you cards, save the dates, invites, etc.- i totally recommend going with Stinkerpants designs!!!
