Still Liquor

A bar on the edge of multiple neighborhoods already has it's work cut out for it. Technically Capitol Hill, not quite Downtown or First Hill. Shit sucks.

But this bar doesn't! This is a beautifully hidden hole in the wall down a wonderfully obscure street that Alice in Wonderland herself would be proud to lose herself in.

Add in the redonkulously amazing customer service from the team that works there and you would be hard pressed not to fall in love.

But. I mean, if you were hard pressed, like just try the "Smooth Operator". A politely sweet and nutty canadian has soothed even the hardest of hearts.

One of the very few places you can dance with good music. Until - you can't actually dance. The small room is absolutely packed to the brim. Want a drink? Too bad. Need the restroom? You're better off going home. I really wish Still Liquor would expand to a bigger space. All that they have going for them is the DJ -- otherwise you're better off staying home.

No stars, bartender with dreadlocks has the nerve to choose the tip included without the option to opt out from picking the tip. I will report to my bank. I did not authorize him to choose his tip !

I live across the street, facing this place. Most clubs are downstairs in a soundproof room to not bug neighbors. Still Liquor blasts music in a tiny space with all windows and front door jammed open because it's a dive bar with no AC. Still Liquor gives 0 ****s about annoying their neighbors. I basically live in the club every Fri/Sat.

LAME DJs who play the same songs every week. Daring DJ setlists include passionfruit by Drake and finesse by Bruno Mars. Go here if you love vanilla R&B. "PUT YOUR HANDS UP. CMON GUYS, LETS GET LIT!" and the crowd goes mild. This is not XS.

Still Liquor had one thing going for it -- that the crowd wasn't as bad as Mint Lounge. Yes, there are fights, yelling, and mischief at Still. But you wouldn't get shot or run over by street racers unless you go around the corner to Mint. Until last week: drive by shooting at 11PM on a Saturday night. Don't believe me, google "Seattle Police investigate after Capitol Hill bar window shot in more nightlife gun violence at the base of Pike/Pine."

Aside from all that... drinks very overpriced and plain. Dirty drab cramped interior. Bathroom tiny, enjoy waiting 30 minutes in line.

I hate to write a bad review but I had a terrible time here. It looked like a janky basement party with rude bartenders and overpriced drinks. I was so shocked at how much my drink was, I questioned if it was just Seattle prices (I'm from the Bay Area though which is pretty similar/comparable) but other bars in the area even sold it for way less. Based on past reviews, it seems like they add a 20% gratuity automatically...although I just had one drink and wasn't notified (I tipped even extra unknowingly.) I curiously asked the bartender and he + the security laughed at me. Plus one star because at least one of the bouncers was nice.

We ended up calling the police because the security guards wouldn't let us go back inside to retrieve our car keys and wallet after we went to step out for some air because the club was so musty inside. It's actually illegal in King county to hold belongings and the security needs to realize they aren't the police lmao. I felt like it was discrimination to not let us back into the club because shortly after other people were allowed back in and the security said "it is because they were nice about it." Extremely pathetic, there's reasons why the more professional atmosphere's have a wristband or stamp system. Then the owner wanted to blatantly lie and say he "watched" the whole thing happen. Seriously take your business elsewhere this place is hilarious. Groups of people were literally leaving to go someplace better. Pathetic to say the least

Cousin's recommendation brought us here. It was fun with good music on a Friday night. My first time going & I couldn't complain until the short fugly bartender with pony tails & tattoos smacked my phone out my hand while I recorded a video of my friends & I taking a shot. I wonder what compelled this being to feel entitled to touching me OR my phone after I paid for drinks & tipped. I hope she sees this, because she needs to be checked for her weird main character syndrome. Out of everything in the bar to fill why on earth would be someone that looked like that?
To conclude, it put a sore taste in my mouth, but we still made the best of it

Waited 45 minutes and the bouncer checked my ID, stood in line for the patdown and then they instantly forgot they checked my ID and told me to go to the back of the line that wrapped the block and gaslighted me saying they didn't check, after letting my group of ten people in.

Rude staff, extremely overpriced drinks, overcrowded, poor ventilation, and pickpockets. Probably more enjoyed by an older crowd. Music was fire although full songs were being played.

20% auto gratuity.

Accidentally walked in here and ordered a drink. The complete lack of people should've tipped me off that this is not a place to visit.

Pay your employees, don't make the customer front your low pay. 1/10 do not recommend.
