My wife and I shared the rib sampler (~$26 for roughly 16 ribs)

The ribs were lightly coated in one of the following sauces (or rub):

Memphis Original (wet)- Solid offering, tasty sauce (4)
Dry Rub- excellent rub, applied in an appropriate ratio to the meat so as not to overpower its flavor.  (4)
Carolina Sweet- good stuff (4)
Habanero Hot- not really 'hot' at all, just ok (3)

Other sauces available included "Tennessee Whiskey" and "Carolina Classic".  I actually liked these two the best.  (4.5 for both)

The ribs themselves were done very well- the meat was not overcooked that it would fall off the bone too easily, but was tender enough to slide off once you bit into it.

Sure, this place is a chain (they evidently sell ribs online...)- but for what they do, they do it pretty darned well.  If I'm back in the area, I'd definitely come back here.

I've tried Sticky Fingers several times over the 10 years in Chattanooga, wanting to like it since it's "southern barbecue" and I live in the South.  But I have to say, I've never been impressed, in fact quite the opposite.  It's unoriginal in its menu choices, and the food has been barely tolerable each time.  I recently met some people for a quick meeting there, and remembering how disappointed I was in the past, I opted not to order any food, but rather went to another restaurant after the meeting was done.  I was confirmed in my choice when the food that my fellow diners ordered arrived.  There was nothing that any of them ordered that I wouldn't have been kicking myself over wasting money had I ordered it too.  Their food is greasy and unhealthy.  Their salads have fried foods on top and even their "grilled" items seem saturated in oil.

I understand that some people consider a good restaurant to equal piles of indistinguishable food, regardless if it's out of a can and thrown straight into a fryer.  And that's fine.  However, especially in this recession, if you want to make that $20 buy not just a dump truck of food but rather quality ingredients prepared well, I would go somewhere else.  Sorry guys!

This place was good. I would recommend the rib sampler or go Sunday because it is all you can eat. I liked the dry and sweet ribs best.

Review based on Catering Service:

Had the catered service which offered:

- Sweet Tea, Unsweet Tea
- Green Beans
- Dirty Rice
- Connamon Aples
- BBQ
- Buns
- 2 sauces (carolina sweet and something else, maybe tennessee mild?, can't remember)

This was a perfect meal!  The green beans and sweet tea were as southern as they come and the BBQ was very tender.  The sauce was delicious

The cinnamon apples were just okay, nothing spectacular.  I thought overall it was a wel-balanced meal but I would have probably preferred the cole slaw over the cinnamon apples.

I took my wife and daughter to Sticky Fingers after a long days of touristy activities.  I had a half rack of smoked ribs, pulled pork and a side of potato salad and baked beans.  We also started it off with a free order of wings (get this coupon from your hotel, i'm sure they all have it.)

The beans were good, the potato salad was too mustardy, but the ribs were fantastic.  I got them with the dry rub, then sampled the various bbq sauces they offer.  While most of them were good, I really like the Memphis Original.  It was good enough that what we didn't finish we took back to our hotel with us.

I'd definitely recommend Sticky Fingers if you're passing through Chattanooga.

Sticky Fingers was one of our first stops in Chattanooga (we were hungry!), and it didn't disappoint.  I don't know how "authentic" it is, but the food was tasty.  I had the pulled chicken, my wife enjoyed a pulled pork sandwich.  The best part was being able to sample all of their various barbeque sauces.  Good stuff.

For $20 for the two of us, I'd say it was a pretty decent first meal in Chattanooga.

You really learn about a place when there is a problem. I was surprised to be served a thin, overcooked half slab at Sticky Fingers in Chattanooga.

When I asked for a new one, wow!, did they ever deliver. With no attitude other than sincere apology, they delivered a FULL slab to me. It was perfect and I was happy. The server and manager were great.

Minus one star for bringing out a bad slab in the first place, but I'll be back...soon.

I am happy to see all the 5 star reviews.
I couldn't give it a 5 star review because; A. touristy. B. not the best sides. C. though quite good, the bbq isn't quite 5 star worthy.
Go here for the ribs. Try all the varieties, and you will leave happy I promise.
This is my favorite Sticky Fingers so far, much better than the one in Augusta.
Occasionally you will find a great special as well.
I will go back if I am up in Chattanooga, go Lookouts.

Yummy!  It was just what we needed for lunch after touring Ruby Fall's and then heading to the Incline.  BBQ sliders were good and the fries were yummy!  Hubby enjoyed the Tennessee Whiskey ribs.

Service was a bit flaky.  We were seated by the hostess, then about 10 minutes later the waiter asks us how long we had been there?  Then afterwards he was really flaky!  When we asked for ribs to go, someone else brought them out on a plate and we had to tell them to go!  lol  hmmmm!

Having lived in Charlotte for a bit, I now view BBQ as the French view wine.  I'm downright BBQ snooty.

Sticky Fingers is a chain.  I had the BBQ Sliders to try and sample as many of the meat selections as I could in one sitting.  The meat was quality.  Their pork, chicken and ribs were tender without being soup.  The service was also very friendly.

But Sticky Fingers strikes one of my pet-peeves.  It's a BBQ place, and has an assortment of BBQ sauces to choose from.  One is called "Carolina Hot" or something like that, and the font is bordered by yellow flame.
It wasn't hot.  None of them were.  Not even the Texas Pete-esque hot sauce had any real kick to it.

I like BBQ.  I love a quality sauce.  None of Fingers' sauces drop kicked my tongue the way I demand.

Best. Ribs. EVER!

When we got there, the place was packed and the line was out the door! When you make reservations, you're actually just putting your name down on the list. Still faster than just walking in though. They do have a separate section with a full bar.

I got the rib sampler for one which came with a few ribs marinaded with memphis dry, memphis wet, tennessee whiskey, and carolina sweet. Honestly, I was hungry and it was way too much food for me. The rib sampler for one can be split for two. All the ribs were tender. I didn't really like the dry ribs, as they were too dry. The whiskey and carolina sweet were ok. I liked the memphis wet the best as it had a bit of kick to it. The cornbread you can ask for is alright. In the end, we were all very stuffed and in food comas.

Service was great, very attentive and accommodating. Drinks were good. The ambiance was nice. Lights are dim and it can be a good date spot. I'd definitely come back for more if I'm in Chattanooga again.

Better than the ribs I had while I was in Memphis!  The ribs are simply amazing.  Perfect balance.  The combo is the best thing to get.  You get two sides, ribs, and chicken for under $20.  I tried all the sauces there, and each one had it's originality.  Loved the spicy one, and would've brought a case back if I could!  The sauce gave me an upset stomach though the next day, but I think it was just me not being used to the heavy sauce.  I would definitely stop by here.  Has a loft-feel, very friendly.

BBQ is pretty darn good here. The service could be a little better, but it's worth it to get your BBQ fix. Try the different ribs they have here and you'll be fine.

This is the best BBQ/Ribs you will find anywhere.  Several of the guys and I in the riding club go here just for the heck of it and to get some nice scenery in while we ride.

I always get the dry rub ribs and use my choice of the sauces to complement the flavor of the dry rub. There are 2 locations in Chattanooga and both are great.  If you love ribs, get the full rack and try to finish them off or bring some home for the day after.

You will fall in love with this place.

Sticky Fingers is my favorite restaurant in Chattanooga, and one of the few things I miss about living in Tennessee. I always ordered the chicken fingers, and they were always excellent -- quality cuts of meat, fried to crunchy perfection. But the french fries at Sticky Fingers are the best fries I've had anywhere: delightfully seasoned and crispy, never soggy. I have to go back there someday for the fries! As if the food alone weren't enough, the inside of the restaurant has a subdued, inviting, classy-casual atmosphere that's just right for a place like this. And the Jack's Alley location puts you in the heart of the city. There's nothing not to like here!

Five stars for a franchise rib place huh, I'm not really surprised at the average rating of this joint but then I guess I am. Didn't really expect to see everyone else givin this place 5 but hey, ya kind argue with quality ribs!

A whole group went after a conference last week, when in the South one must consume large quantities of BBQ or so I'm told. Happy to oblige. The rib sampler is a great deal but I'm in love with their dry memphis rub, sa damn tasty.  Only slight complaint is the effort it took to get our darn cornbread and I do like my ribs a tough juicier overall, but I really enjoyed this meal, and the beers although they did one-pour my guiness.. cardinal sin. Yet it's still getting a 5/5!

Amazing! I was staying in town for business and the only chance that i had to enjoy the sweet town of 'Nooga was for dinner. I had been craving some southern style barbecue and Sticky really hit the spot. Everyone at the table ordered the Ribs, pulled pork and Chicken wings all-you-can-eat combo. I got the ribs with the dry rub to offer the opportunity to try their different homemade sauces. The ribs were cooked with a meat-fall-of-the-bone goodness. And the pulled pork was the best i have ever had. Hands down. i tried all of the sauces that they have, and all were OK, but the Habenero hot barbecue sauce was off the chains. I ended up buying that, the habenero hot sauce, and the dry rub to bring home with me to Chicago. I recommend this one to anyone who has a taste for Barbecue and the propensity to gorge.

The 'Finger has decent BBQ, but the thing they do the best is the wings!  They are great.  Cheesy chicken sandwich is pretty good too.  If you are in town, give it a try.  Jack's Alley is the best locale out of all in "the Nugget."

I add nothing new by confirming that the ribs were excellent.  (I had the dry-rub)  I will expand on my other favorite parts of the meal: The barbeque sauces and the margaritas.  At every table is about 6 different barbeque sauces, which was in itself a feast for me, as this is my favorite condiment.  The sauces were all unique and I declared the habarnero hot the winner.  I also ordered a massive margarita, which was surprisingly excellent and worth going back for even if you weren't interested in the ribs (but who could ever skip the ribs?)

Visited with some friends a couple years back.  The wait was long (about 20 minutes or so) and they gave us a free appetizer as an apology, which was sweet, even though one of my friends was pretty pissed about the wait anyway.  I was happy, though.  The barbecue was delicious.  If Sticky Fingers were in Valparaiso, I'd be a regular.

Wow - truly awesome BBQ ribs. I wanted to try it all so I ordered the rib sampler plate with four different flavors: Memphis Dry and Wet, Tennessee Whiskey, and Habaero Hot. All were bone sucking good. I would definitely return.

Really good ribs!  Very touristy though...crowded...noisy...good food.  The ribs are tender and moist -covered in sweet tangy BBQ sauce.  Should get more ribs for the price they charge.  Can't go wrong here.

Over the several years I driven to Chattanooga to eat at this restaurant, it has never disappointed me. Great food, fun atmosphere, v ery good wait staff.  The only hassle is finding a place to park on the street, and remembering to bring change for the parking meters.
