We always go here to have our art framed before shipping to a show. Everyone is so nice and helpful and always take as much time as i need to find the right matte or frame.
Sticks is not cheap, but they do a great job of framing your most prized art, photographs, and anything you deem worthy of framing. We had several Thangka paintings framed (Tibetan buddhist paintings), as well as a write up of our wedding in a magazine. Each was done exquisitely (with UV plexi-glass) and the owner will give you great suggestions and advice. He really knows what he's doing and when you get your piece, you will have no regrets. Sure, you'll pay several hundred for each frame, but it's worth every cent b/c you know your framed piece will last for years to come!

I've been impressed by the overall custom quality and level of service provided by the owner-operated Sticks. Excellent prices and consulting services ... they don't make fun of my art and do a good job of keeping me within my budget. Far cry from the crappy/mass-market service and poor consulting/matting/framing offered by the chains. Even better, Sticks is conveniently located a storefront down on Salano Avenue in Berkeley from the UPS store ... perfect for a single trip of p/u and ship. My only complaint is that they aren't open on Sundays and as far as I know, do not have a website.
