Stewart's is my new favorite autoshop! Let me list the reasons why:
1) The service is top notch
2) Prices are fair/a good value
3) They are trustworthy and professional
I love my out of warranty Land Rover and when I moved to the Sacramento area I was concerned about finding a trustworthy shop to work on my truck. I have been completely impressed with Stewart's level of expertise and their good prices.
I highly recommend Stewart's and would recommend them to anyone with a European import that requires service. -

If I could quote and restate Jen A.'s review then that would be exactly what I would say. We have a '99 Rover Discovery II and we have gone to this place for a couple years now. Every time we take it in, we have to turn around and go back because something was not fixed right, or another issue came up coincidentally right after we picked our Rover up. It is always the "Service Engine Soon" light and apparently has something to do with the O2 sensors. Anyway, if it were not for Matt, and Stewart's adorable dogs we might never go back. Stewart is rarely appreciative of our business and often pretty grumpy. It is like we are bothering him - he can be short, rude and dismissive. Having been in the service industry for years - we know this is not the way to run your business. I always prefer going to the small businesses over the dealership, but this might be the last time we go here. For the amount of money we have spent here in the last two years we could have bought several disposable cars. I can't imagine anyone bringing their car to this place is dropping less than a $1000 per visit as they are european automotive specialists. You would think he would acknowledge that we are forking over some serious cash and be a little more appreciative of tour business. Maybe we just tend to hit him on his bad days. I would actually give it 3 stars and not 2, except on Yelp 3 stars = "A-OK" and it just isn't for me. A-OK to me means that it wasn't perfect, but I got what I paid for, and was satisfied. That just hasn't consistently been the case for us.

Took our Land rover in and Stewart seemed very short with us and honestly a little rude. He is not very customer service savvy. Matt on the other hand was very nice and helpful..
This place is okay but I wouldn't recommend speaking to Stewart, speak to Matt. Anytime we had questions Stewart talked to us like we were born yesterday..
They inspected our car and "fixed it" but we ended up having to go back the following day since the problem wasn't really fixed. -

If I could give six stars to these guys, I would. I have a 1994 Land Rover Defender 90. Out of warranty? Yes. Quirky built by the British probably on a Friday? Yes. Parts and information easy to find? NO. Needs a mechanic that really knows what he is doing? YES.
If I had to have the dealer work on my truck, I think I would have either sold it or shot myself by now. Stewart, Michael (the service advisor), and everyone else at this place have always been great. They are honest, they don't overcharge, they back up their work, and they are just a pleasure to work with.
If you have a Land Rover or any of the other European brands they service, go here first. You will not be disappointed.
