Yum! Very relaxed atmosphere, was able to hang out and get some work done (they are Wifi) with no pressure to keep ordering anything.
This is a quality micro-brewery (yes it's in a strip mall) with some nice mature, award winning brews. Nothing watery or tasted like they had just flushed the lines with Lysol.
Tried the "Lockjaw DOUBLE IPA"- oh it's a mouth full of hops, finished with the "Drunken Monk", their version of a Belgian Triple. Very well done.
Was here on a Tueday, 1/2 price burger night. Had a mushroom/Swiss, tasty stuff. Friendly/helpful staff. You can see their menu, current brews and specials here:

Hope to pass thru here again!
Seriously, who would think Bear, DE has such a great sports bar! Great beer and the best chicken nachos! I haven't been in a while, but great place to watch the games, grab a beer, and catch up with friends. Highly recommend it.

Definitely a place to go for a beer with friends. Their Belgian White and Irish Reds are my favorite. Can't decide? Try the sampler!
To top it all off their food is good!
Finding myself now in Bear, DE I have discovered Stewarts right around the corner from my house! I had never been in until my friend said, "have you gone yet?" so he took me for my first Stewarts experience.. I think they have a great selection of beers!! Most likely the best brew pub I've been to out here. Its a very laid back setting and all of the servers are great. Its kind of like the local cheers bar I call it. haha.. I love the big bear ale.. it is by far my favorite brew there..

Stewart's won the World Beer Cup Gold medal for their Kolsch blonde. It must be great as they were out. Instead, I had a great Wacky Wheat ale and the husband a Delcastle Brown ale. Beer masters Ric, Eric, and Al seem to know their stuff. However, what won our hearts was the Maryland style crab soup, a tomato based soup with lots of crab and potatoes. Yum. We also split a great spinach salad with a cherry balsamic vinaigrette. It was the soup that won the 4th star which would probably still be there if we had sampled the Kolsch.
