A really nice romantic restaurant for a date or celebration. I've been here a few times, and it was pretty good! It is a little more expensive, but the food and service is great. The menu has a lot to choose from, and from what I remember it was good. I wouldn't say it's a 5 star restaurant, but it's one of the nicer places in the QC, and definitely in LeClaire.

If I could sum this review up in one word....."EXSPEEEEEEENDSIVE!!!!
Yes, it is pricey. The menu starts at $20 a plate and goes to $38 a plate, unless you want to include the rack of lamb for 2...which is $60. Most dishes are around $27-$28, appetizers are around $9-$10, and desserts are $9. There is a full bar with top shelf liquors, an extensive wine list and about 15 types of beer on hand.
Enough of the price info...on with the review.
The view is nice. We(wife and I) asked for a window seat, so we could watch the Mississippi river flow as we enjoyed some quiet time together. The atmosphere was top notch and the service was great...just a great romantic evening type of place. The food was delicious, but servings were small....even for the high price you pay. I had the "Cherry lamb chops" served with potatoes($30). While the lamb was good, it was served with 3 YOUNG red potatoes cut into smaller pieces, and a small salad.
Wife had a seafood pasta thing($24) and a small salad as well. We both shared a flaming Greek cheese appetizer($11), and we both had ice tea($2). Total bill was $69 not including tax or tip.
What I disliked about this place, aside from the price and small portions, was they didn't offer to make things to my liking. I asked if they served a TRUE Caesar salad(with anchovies) , and the waitress said "no". Did not offer to have the kitchen make one for me.
Also, we left hungry....REALLY!!!! When we left, we went to Trattoria Tiramisu, where the kitchen was more than happy to make my Caesar salad, had some coffee and canolli.
But, all is not lost. I was able to find out they have a Sunday brunch from 10am until 2 pm for $19.95. It includes crab legs, prime rib, salads and over 20 types of dessert. We will be returning some day for the brunch. -

The food was decent and the atmosphere was above average but it was way to pricey and not exactly what I expected for the amount I spent.

"The" remaining fine dining establishment of the Quad Cities, with fantastic evening views of the Mississippi river at sunset. Truly spectacular, via the wide and tall glass windows. Romantic, great for groups, special events... this is the spot.
The food is not bad either! Delectable meat dishes, excellent salads, and their REAL flavored butters. Excellent table side specials such as the chops and the cherry jubilee. -

We made 7:30 reservations and showed up at 7:30 to be told we would have to wait for another 15 minutes before we could be seated. The bar service was wonderful. When we were finally seated we had a wobbly table in which my husband had to use napkins from the bar to jimmy it up school cafeteria style. The waitress came by and took drink orders, she did not offer any specials, delivered our drinks and then disappeared for 15 minutes. The restaurant manager ended up taking our order as she was checking on tables. The next time we saw our waitress is when she delivered our salads. Our meals came about 20 minutes following our salads. My husbands steak was incredible and he really enjoyed it. Mine was cooked well instead of medium rare. The waitress was finally flagged down and the error was fixed 10 minutes later. While enjoying my dinner I finished my drink, not once did the waitress stop for drinks after my meal was delivered. When the waitress finally appeared again we were ready to leave. She brought us a full ticket with no comp for the mistake of the steak. When told we will from now on go elsewhere, she offered a $25 gift card and comped the two drinks we had for dinner. They did not comp the $32 steak that was prepared wrong. The food was good when it was prepared correctly, the service was poor and slow(our meal took 2 hours without appetizer or dessert orders). I will from now on go to Red Crow Grille.
