So, moving is not a fun activity by any means. It's up there with getting your teeth fixed. In fact, I vaguely remember some saying about how it's up there with divorce and death on the level of stress involved. Living in NYC for the past 15 years now, I've lost count of how many times I've moved already. Alas, this past winter I add to that list so needless to say I wasn't looking forward to it. I've had some doozies of experiences dealing w/ moving companies over the years so this time, instead of just randomly finding one online as I have in the past - I asked around for suggestions. Happily, my friend referred me to these guys.
From the first moment I called, everything was so easy! I spoke to Mike who took my info and scheduled an appt for Stephen to come by the next day & give me an estimate. While I was a bit wary at first -- the New Yorker in me prepared to have to negotiate a lower price -- so, I was so nicely surprised when he was not only friendly & professional, but also gave me the lowest price around & was able to suggest some money-saving tips too to make my move easier.
Later on, on the scheduled date of the move, the guys actually showed up ON TIME and WORKED QUICKLY. Everything was packed up precisely and nothing was broken or missing. These guys knew their stuff, were very professional and were polite to boot! I would recommend these guys in a heartbeat. They made a situation that I was absolutely dreading into a smooth, easy move and spared me some major headaches. Thank you, Sterling!
I called a few moving companies for an estimate to move my one bedroom Apartment in Queens. Sterling came in with a good price. Not too high or not too low. Most of all, the Estimator seemed very knowledgeable about the business as he had spent considerable time as a mover himself. This made a welcome change from the routine pushy sales pitches I got from the other guys.
The move went smooth, fast and efficient. No damages, no deviations from the price and no hassles. I would recommend these guys based on my experience.
