Keeping this review brief and from an experiential perspective, Sterck, Kulik, and O'Neill Accounting Group is hard to top. Of course, one might ask, how to qualify such a claim.
With fairly complex personal and corporate tax returns on the table with complicated business structure transitions during the year, a strong and dedicated effort was delivered by the firm.
Upon completion of the process, I've never felt more comfortable with such a complex set of tax filings as I have with them. Not only was their interest in assuring that 2010 returns were solid and substantiated, but more importantly, that the stage was set for a sensible approach for future tax filings. Further, my corporate accounting and financial systems were enhanced to accommodate future business operations and growth trends.
On a personable level, Charles and Richard are warm, inviting, accommodating, and dedicated to your individual comfort and success. -

Charles helped our startup business get though some fairly complicated filings. He went as far as to call my investment advisor and push them to get the paperwork completed to allow me to make a contribution as the 2010 deadline approached.
Charles has a passion for his work, and takes the time to walk through your objectives to provide financial guidance that no other firm I have worked with has offered. Above and beyond is the only way to describe the experience I have has with the Sterck Kulik O'Neill Accounting Group. -

I haven't even worked with these guys yet and I am so impressed with their sense of customer service.
I am an early stage start up and really needed a mentor more than a CPA. Instead of just charging me for consulting time they referred me to an organization to help me out. Remarkable service in times when most businesses are grabbing revenue at every opportunity! -

I'm a one-man show... a sole proprietor according to the IRS and a single member LLC in CA.... no matter how you slice it, though, I'm still a solo operation, which means that things get placed on the back burner sometimes. The challenges are extraordinary - and physically draining.
I started my business several years ago, so when I met with Charles Sterck at Sterck, Kulik, & O'Neill, it wasn't under the best of circumstances. We were dealing with nearly a decade of returns, with no documentation, no receipts, no information.
Charles reviewed my situation, and made recommendations, and proceeded to explain in a very pragmatic and straight-forward manner, his plan for resolving passed issues, as well as some suggestions for establishing critical business systems.
Charles and his staff essentially recreated history for me, and represented my best interests in creating the most accurate financial picture for my tax records.
I've worked in senior management positions in manufacturing environments for many years. During that time, I interacted frequently with internal and external accountants and firms. I must say that in the short time since retaining the firm, Sterck, Kulik & O'Neill continues to impress me.
There is absolutely no question that Sterck, Kulik & O'Neill is one of the more informed, knowledgeable and professional accounting firms I've worked with. I'm looking forward to retaining their business development services, as well as establishing core business systems to help grow my business - and sustain existing clients.
How do you manage a successful consulting firm, market your services, create advertising, network and lead development, billing/accounting, AND take on new projects, and actually find time to do the work? I think that's the greatest challenge for any sole proprietor, but the answer is, "you retain Sterck, Kulik & O'Neill."
I'd recommend this firm to any company. -

I have been using Sterck Kulik O'Neill Accounting group for 5 years now.
They are very accurate and thorough. I am a sole propieter and only employee. Charles Streck is very good at asking me very specific questions regarding taxes that allow us to be accurate with my taxes.
I never feel intimidated by taxes anymore. I place my complete trust with Charles. I know that his passion for his work shows! I will continue my realtionship with SKO until my death. -

I contacted this office based on the reviews and I'm glad I did. The gentleman I spoke with was very helpful and referred me to another accountant since as an individual, their firm may be overkill. I appreciated his frankness and although he could have certainly taken me on as a client, he was sensitive of my budget. I bet they take good care of their business clients!

Geoff is a great accountant and a great person. I know how difficult it is to meet with an accountant and how scary it can be to realize what you owe the IRS. However, Geoff makes his clients feel comfortable, works hard to save them money in taxes, and is always there to answer questions and phone calls. It has been great working with him. Sterck Kulik O'Neill Saved my financial life. I just got out of a Business that I was in for fifteen years. The partnership turn bad after years of good times things got bad we owed over a hundred thousand to the IRS thousands to the state of Ca . And much more. Here it is five years later I am debt free. And I owe it to hard work and a good plan. THANKS SKO
