I used Deepika for choreographing a dance for my wedding that included myself and my bridesmaids. I was very impressed by how professional and talented she is. She was very flexible with us and was good at teaching all different levels of students. My bridesmaids and I varied from not knowing anything about Bollywood dance (some of them were not Indian) to having danced in various college cultural shows. However, all of us learned the dance well thanks to Deepika's teaching. And what's more important, all of my bridesmaids and I had such a good time! My bridesmaids have told me that learning and performing the dance was one of the most memorable parts of my wedding and my husband (for whom the dance was a surprise) was so excited about it. I highly recommend Deepika for choreographing a Bollywood dance for your wedding.
I also have to mention that she does teach at various locations, and we met for our instruction at a Mountain View location (The Cheryl Burke Starlite Dance Studio), so I know that she is very flexible. -

It's a great class. Deepika - the instructor was awesome.
Though I was in a beginner class and never took dancing lessons before, I felt very comfortable and confident dancing in front of an audience at the end of the 10 week session - thanks to Deepika's great instruction and encouragement. -

We started our daughter at StepZ when she was 4.5 years. We tried Bharatnatyam and it just did not get our daughter going. She always had a knack for dancing and when we introduced her to StepZ she was hooked. We have enrolled her every season and at age 5.5 she has been on stage couple of times already.
The instructors are good and flexible. Their passion is infectious. Overall, we are glad we found StepZ. (Side benefit: our daughter now teaches us some steps).
This is a great way to get kids introduced to Bollywood dance and music.

Healthy Family Fun
StepZ provides many things to me:
1. Friendship and networking - I have made some great friends in other students and the instructors, and on several occasions expanded my professional and personal network. The people are all friendly and instructors are on a first-name basis with everyone.
2. Joy - physical expression provides an outlet that makes you smile. The music that you dance to is carefully selected to stimulate a happy mood.
3. Exercise - the workout is as intense or relaxed as you want it to be. And while most physical activities involve some kind of sacrifice of working hours, the classes are scheduled on evenings and weekends ensuring that you can stay fit without compromising on your professional commitments. Since the classes are weekly, there is some sense of self-accountability so that you are not tempted to skip the healthy routine.
4. Affordable - many memberships are very poor in bang for the buck. Not so here. For a reasonable price you get 3 months of service.
5. Accessible - there is no stereotypical student. Students include boys and girls and men and women of all ages and all fitness levels. Being male, I was hesitant to join initially but have never looked back or given it a second thought since.
6. Stage Experience - twice a year students perform in a supershow open to the public, gaining valuable experience performing in front of large audiences. This is important in a developing child and in adults looking to build their confidence in front of other people. I just wish I had started performing on stage at a younger age.
7. Memories - every song that you dance to will be recorded either on your personal camcorder or on a DVD that can be purchased. You can build your archive of personal home video for yourself and family to look back on in later life with pride. And each song will act as a musical memory stimulus, transporting you back in time to reliving the endless hours of fun you had. -

I am extremely happy with StepZ. My 5 year old daughter goes to Deepika's class and she very quickly learned all the steps and performed very well in the Summer Funk show. Deepika paid a minute attention to each and every student in the class and made sure that they learn the steps. She has a lot of patience and makes dancing fun. My daughter will definitely continue the class.
Specialties
Offers Bollywood dance classes / lessons to kids 3 yrs above and adults. Adults can also join the Bollywood Aerobics / workout class to keep fit and loose weight through high impact dancing.
We also have a professional troupe that can help with your special events such as weddings, engagements, and other parties.

Dance has always been Deepika's passion since the day she started walking. She's not only a good dancer, but a great choreographer and instructor teaching dance for the past 8 yrs to both kids and adults. Deepika has big dreams for STEPZ and wants to take it to new heights in the years to come.
