I've been going here since I was little. I love the cages, and the people are ALWAY super helpful if something gets jammed.
Good fun!

I had my son's birthday's at stella's.Last year and it was perfect.I rented 2 batting cages(1 hour) and the basketball court (2 hours).I paid less than $300 for everything including food and game token for 15 kids.I paid a little extra for the kids who wanted something else that was not on the birthday party package menu. There is plenty of parking and the staff was very helpful. The food they have here are burgers, hot dogs ,beefs, specialty sandwiches, pizza and ice cream and more.I have never really tried any of the food besides the Italian ice or the nachos and sodas.I spend most of my money on the batting cages not the food.

BATTING CAGES
This place has about 10 cages, 2 of which are for softball. I suggest that you bring some friends, and not only get tokens for the batting cages but for the video games inside too. Food is available so you can make it a whole afternoon deal. I went with my girlfriend but there were a few families there from the ages of 3 on up.
For the afternoon, I spent $10 for 11 batting cages tokens, $5 for the video games, and $3 for awesome italian ice. CHEAP DATE. :)
Make sure you are familiar with a map of the area before you go. I used google maps (it's the best, double true) and it sent me through an alley way. One piece of advice is to look for the river and BIG castle thingy.

I haven't been here in quite a few years, but they have a good number of cages which ensure not too long of a wait. They also have a (small) selection of helmets you can wear if you don't have one of your own handy. Their "arcade" is nothing to brag about, and neither is the food, but they could definitely be worse. They're at nearly the perfect location, but if you're not watching as you're driving down Ogden, you'll drive past and never even know it. Overall, if you're in the surrounding area, Stella's is your best (and really, only) choice, but if you're willing to make a much longer drive, I'd look elsewhere. Stella's is cheap enough to get you coming back, but not good enough to hook you on anything other than price or location.
Definitely a great place to have some nostalgia from childhood (I remember going when I was little with my brother there). The food is typical greasy fair (also good for reminisizing about your childhood). It's definitely a good place to go with some friends to waste away an afternoon.

I'm biased b/c my friend's aunt owns the place, but still the cages are good nostalgic fun! Great for people of all ages, especially those of us that need to hit something really hard w/o getting into trouble.

While Lyons might have changed a little, this place hasn't. This place can give you nostalgic vibes even if you haven't been there before. I don't care for batting cages but, you can get away with spending $5 for a beef and fries and they have great homemade ice. ($1.60 8 oz., $2.25 12 oz., 2.80 pint, $5.25 quart) What would win you over about this place is its location along the Des Plaines river and the nice houses on the Riverside side. (on a side note, I saw a For Sale sign on this place last December, I hope this place won't go away)
