Steak ’n Shake

First time in a few years, for some reason i never think about steak and Shake it is not in my mind but i was out ddriving errands and there they were. The Wait staff could be a little friendlier.

The food was good and the manangement work just as hard as staff.

The main reason we stopped here tonight was to get a milkshake. Steak n Shake has a bunch of different flavor options but we were extremely disappointed when they told us they had no shakes. Steak n Shake has no shakes? Okay... I ordered the $4.44 meal that came with the double burger and fries came with. The burger is the only reason for the stars. The fries were average. They do have a drive thru but the girl over the speaker was incredibly rude. After we ordered she said "okay". No total, no asking about sauces, no apology for the lack of shakes-- nothing. We wouldn't be likely to return to this particular Steak n Shake location.

If I could give a 0 star I honestly would. I haven't had any problems with this place before but I would not recommend it. I purchased a meal online for $44, when they claimed their milkshake machine was broken, I asked if I could receive the money back for said shakes, which was 3 large shakes, they refused. I've noticed this place has been receiving a bad rap, and I now understand why.

Service sucks, Food sucks, business sucks, time to close it down, workers don't even wanna work here anymore...

I decided to give it a second chance but the place is a joke, incredibly rude young lady greeted me at the window without saying a word to me, i asked what the price was and she mumbled my total. They quickly had my order up this time around expect they managed to completely forget to add the bacon to my bacon cheese burger. Best they could do is have me coke back for a reorder but i live +20 mins away

This wouldn't be a big deal expect they always manage to mess up something and be quite rude while doing it. You can get better service anywhere else in jax so go at your own risk

Good shakes when they have the tho!!

Stopped by for lunch and had a hankering for a chocolate milk shake as well. Ordered the Frisco Melt combo. What a disappointment. I used to love the melt, what was served to me certainly looked melted, but by no means anything like the melts of old. It was not served on sourdough bread, or sliced, there appeared to be just one patty, and could not tell what type of cheese was used. The sauce was liberally applied to just one side, and was just a melted, greasy mess. The fries were just as bad, because they were extra greasy with so much salt, they could not be eaten without worrying about a visit to the ER. So why the two stars? The chocolate shake was sooooo good. Sorry to see this happening to Steak and Shake, they used to be really good.

GrubHub driver left our food at the door on the ground. No barbecue sauce. Other than those issue. Hot, fresh and fantastic come to mind. For a quick pick me up one can never go wrong with steak and shake. We haven't been in a while. However, we remember going 3 to 4 times a month. Fast food at its finest. Try saying that 10 times fast.

Got there 35 minutes after opening and doors where locked but employees were inside. They unlocked the doors as we got in our vehicle but they did not look very welcoming when doing it so we left.

This location, on San Jose Blvd, is literally the worst Stk and Shake that I have ever been in. It's dirty and disgusting. The staff is very rude. One employee, a female, was behind the counter cooking, on her phone, complaining about another employee. Service is terrible!!! A man was waiting "several@ minutes for his shake, went to the the just to be told by a male employee, we are all waiting! Seriously??? Plus he had very long, fuzzy hair with no net. It'll be a long time before I go there again, if ever.

I sat at the drive through speaker for about 10 minutes with no response from anyone. Then drove up to the next window and no one was their , it was the middle of the day, and people were inside so they were definitely open. Completely ridiculous are y'all even running a business, this would never happen at my job, and if it did it wouldn't be long till someone got fired.

Steak 'n Shake.......is a restaurant. It's not a drive through, make me a sandwich so I can go home and feel like I made money. It's not......how much gas can we waste today waiting behind ten other idiots whom have done the same.
You dirty dummies don't even tip. It's a restaurant. They provide service. Grow up, go home, make a sandwich, so they can clean up for the rest of us. Why do you even come to Mandarin. We don't like you. We make money in so many ways, you should be paying us to eat sandwiches and drink milkshakes, and you just park....shut your vehicle off......and hand over the keys. You're driving for the wrong purpose. That license is property of The United States Government, not you. You're not an "owner". We shared this with you. Did you earn it?
