Review from John K.
Richmond, VA
If you are going to eat a steak in Richmond, definitely go to a steak house. The family restaurant chains like Fridays, O'Charleys, Ruby Tuesdays... they just don't cut it.
That said, Steak and Ale has significantly better steaks than the aforementioned places. It's not the best in the steak house category.
The prime rib is pretty good, and the garlic sirloin is amazing. -

Pretty good steaks and other dishes. Nice fancy atmosphere as well. Everything I've had there has been great! I always get a steak and the French Onion soup is great too!

Review from Aly D.
not terrible, not fantastic. this steak house provides extremely affordable meat at a decent quality. i had the 10oz prime rip for $15... thats freaking unheard of in steak houses in california. it was decent, though the cut was kind of funky and there was no hard outer crust like i like. baked potato was of course delicious and i can hardly ever complain about caesar salad. all in all not a terrible experience for having wandered through richmond, va in search of dinner. i still can't get over how cheap it was.
