After enduring a 6+ hour mechanical delay in Paris, understandably we missed our connecting flight to San Francisco in Dulles.  The only two options were to sleep at the airport or search out a last minute hotel.  This is what we found.

It was moderately priced considering it was a last minute booking.  After a tiring experience with the plane delays, the wait for the van seemed interminable.  Others had been waiting a while for the van too, because it was packed with lodgers for the night.  Upon arrival the check in was swift but the room felt like it was a mile away.  Mind you we had to trek (outside) well past midnight over the river and through the woods to get to it.  A journey not for the faint of heart.  The next day would reveal that the hotel is situated in the middle of a business park so we were never in any real danger.

The room was clean and came with a kitchen, dining room, living room and a second bedroom.  If you are fighting with your travel companion, then this place is ideal because no one has to sleep on the couch.   When checking in, we noticed that the van service to the airport does not commence before 6:45 am.  Our flight to SFO left at 6:40 am.  Minus two stars for an unrealistic van schedule that leaves guests to find their own way to the airport for an early departure.  Airport hotels should have this eventuality factored into their operating plan.

Stayed here for a weekend trip to DC.  The 2 bedroom suite was clean and nicely furnished, staff were friendly and the hot breakfast was one of the best I've had; lots of choices including yogurt, which made me happy.  The advance purchase rate of $90/night made me happy as well.  If you need to stay out near Dulles, this would be a good choice.
