Being a frequent guest here and this place being my favorite hotel haunt, "The power of Christ compelled" me to write a review.

With only 4 reviews, I took the liberty of reading them to see what other people were writing. Being only 4 reviews, I wanted to address the 2 "meh" and negative reviews.

I was actually at the hotel during the "soccer tournament" weekend. I won't disagree that the kids were noisy, but I don't think it's the responsibility of the hotel staff to police the kids. I would agree, however, that the hotel should call the rooms with the kids/parents, to have the kids keep it down. However, the parents are the ones responsible for keeping their kids under control. If the parents don't enforce anything, what is the hotel staff going to do? Tell the kids to "knock-it-off" at gun point? Unreasonable. I did speak with the hotel staff, who were actually on-call, while I was at the front desk, with the families. The staff mentioned they had called the families multiple times because the kids were disturbing other rooms. You can only tell people to knock if off so many times. It's not like any hotel has ever fined people for making too much noise.

The lone 1-star review is written by a guy who only has 7 reviews. Each of the 7 reviews written by the guy have received 1-star. He uses yelp to gripe about bad places. He has yet to write anything positive about any place. I've been staying at the hotel for business since its inception a few years back. I've had my opportunities to chat with various people during breakfast. If you speak with the business people that use this place as their extended stay hotel, you will rarely, if ever, hear a negative review. Everyone likes the hotel and the staff. Everyone compliments that the staff is courteous and seems to go out of their way to make you feel comfortable and welcome. 1-star, I'm going to have to disagree with you on the General Manager's character as being "dishonest". You only write 1-star reviews.

About my personal stays at the hotel, and there have been many over the years. The rooms are always clean. The staff has been very courteous. Breakfast is free. If 100+ people go for the free breakfast and you miss out because you slept in an extra 20 minutes.. oh well. Snooze you lose. Not really a big deal. It's free anyway. You can't really complain about not getting "free breakfast". The hotel is situated in a nice and quiet area with very little noise. That's totally awesome for business travelers who just want to relax in peace. Oh ya, did I forget to mention the free internet connection? So, there's a lot of "free" stuff to this hotel. It's honestly a great value for what you pay. I choose to stay here over a Courtyard or Garden Inn. I feel the value and quality is much better here.

5-stars. It's pretty well deserved. Too bad I can't go 10-stars to offset Mr. 1-star.

I'm a huge fan of this hotel.  It's a bit of a drive because its located in the business district, but the cleanliness and service is awesome.  It's extremely comfortable and I love how people leave you alone.  I recommend this place if you like to be away from the hustle and bustle while you still get the clean comforting hotel feel.

Stayed here during company training, and just as great as you can expect your hotel to be!  Like REALLY enjoyable, i could have lived here and been fine!

I had an individual room and it had:
a very comfortable bed, a spacious bathroom, a 27 inch crt tv with a dvd player, a loveseat-couch, a coffee table, a desk/desk area, and a kitchen area with a sink, a full size fridge, a toaster, a coffee maker,  and a dishwasher!

An exercise room has 2 treadmills, an elliptical, and a stationary bike. Right next to the laundry room.

The Common Area is spacious and beautiful, Lots of outdoor seating and area - a fountain, a basketball hoop and pavement!  Seriously, if you are not satisfied with this place, i don't know what to do for you.

I read great reviews about this hotel, which is why I left quite surprised and dissatisfied. On a good note, the hotel was very clean with great amenities. My room was tidy and had more than enough for a great time. The complimentary breakfast was a plus, I mean not the greatest food at all, but it was free, including cereal, bagels, and yogurt if you didn't dare to try the fatty bacon or fake rubbery eggs. On a poor note, I had a HUGE problem with the staff. For starters, on my non-smoking floor, people were smoking and the smell infiltrated my room. I called the front desk SEVERAL times from the room phone and NO ONE answered. I called from my cell phone and someone picked up right away... It was interesting how they didn't answer for their actual guests, but they were right and ready for outsiders ready to stay and pay! Anyways, I told them about the problem, and they said they'd check it out. We didn't hear back from them AT ALL, smoke kept coming in, and they didn't even offer air freshener or another room to stay in due to the fact that I'm allergic to smoke. At 4am, there were drunken teenagers running through the halls, knocking on doors and running away. I called the front desk, and they never got back to us OR came up to check on what was going on like they insisted they would do "right away" (I waited by the elevators). Upon checkout, I had to wait 15 minutes for someone to even come to the front desk, only to find out they messed up my reservation. I prepaid online, and upon receiving my receipt, I noticed a HUGE problem. They had my name with a completely different address AND CREDIT CARD information!!! Uh oh... I waited 30 minutes trying to sort it out, while the front desk man just insisted "I'm sure it's okay." I insisted on speaking to a manager, but there wasn't one on duty. The man at the front desk tried to call the manager, who was "still sleeping" and unreachable at 12:00 in the afternoon! After awhile, I decided to give him my number (like he insisted) and wait the few hours it would take for a manager to call me back. My concern was that since credit card numbers were messed up, someone who hadn't prepaid online would be charged on my credit card, leaving me charged twice! I have yet to hear back from a manager... it's been 4 days.
Overall, it's a nice and safe place to stay with great amenities and it's about 7 miles away from all the attractions Irvine has to offer. However, the staff is extremely unprofessional and lazy. If you stay here, just MAKE SURE on check-in day that all your information is correct (don't just initial where they tell you too "real quick"). Also, don't expect a quiet stay. There have been previous complaints about real noisy kids, and with my experiences of people running in the halls and SMOKING and "ding-dong ditching" at 4am... I wouldn't count on a quiet stay. The hotel staff doesn't even try to fix the problem, they really don't seem to care at all actually. Even if they did, there isn't much they can do. I expected the hotel to be a LOT more professional than it was.

As a Travel agent I was courted to book this hotel by the hotel sales rep who promised to pay our travel agency commission. We had booked a movie crew about 500 room nights and they would not honor the commission. Gloria Woo the hotel manager is a very dishonest person.
Since then we have never booked this hotel again as the production company that is our client has filmed several large movies in this area and will not use this property again.
Please stay away from this property as they will screw you over BIG TIME

We went for a soccer tournament last weekend and stayed in a 1br. The room was spacious and clean., complete with a full kitchen. The downside was the noise from the floor above. We stayed on the 2nd floor in 236 and it sounded like a family of elephants were above us most of the night. You could hear their bed squeek when they sat down and got up and every foot step across the room. They were totally unprepared for the soccer tournament crowd in the morning for the free breakfast. Food was snatched up as soon as they brought it. The could have done a better job policeing the noisy kids running up and down the halls. But... for the price, our rate was $119 night a good deal. A word to the wise - demand a room on the third floor. Otherwise very friendly staff and well maintained.
