I have to hand it to Starbucks, they really have mastered the dull atmosphere of a corporate stuffy boring 90's office space at every location.

I tried to spice up the dead zone here by tossing a "pop-pop" noise maker from Archie McPhee's on the floor to amuse a kid.  It just brought way too much life to this brown Hell.

Also, this has nothing to do with Starbucks....but this dude walked by while I was sitting outside with a black t-shirt on that said in pink:  "Rape" on it.  WTF?  He looked normal and seemed to have friends and stuff.  I don't think I'd want to be friends with someone that thought it was neat to wear a shirt that says "Rape" on it.  I don't even understand this.  I hate you guy.

Nothing really stands out about this S-Bucks for me. Very narrow entryway, not a lot of seating. The coffee is perfectly fine. Not a large selection of pastries or of merchandise.

For me so much of the Starbucks experience (yes, I'm being serious) is created by the music, service and space. I like to sprawl out and read the Sunday paper at Starbucks.

I like to feel comfortable, maybe chat with other people, browse the cds for sale, etc. So in a locale such as this, it doesn't really do it for me. Especially when just down the street there are more comfortable coffee houses such as Tully's and Cafe Veritas (Cupcake Royale).

This location is perfectly fine for getting a Vente drip to go, but otherwise there are better options in the area.

This is one of the larger nicer Starbucks.  The baristas can pull shots with the best of the Starbucks family...so not well at all.  I am a little turned off by the fact I need a key to use the restroom.  This is Ballard and a trendy coffee shop not a gas station in Tachoma.  What are you afraid I am going to steal the toilet paper?  At 3 bucks an espresso you can afford it.
