Great location next door to Supercuts.

After a crazy day I needed a little treat to tide me over until dinner during the bfs haircut.

Thanks for actually stirring my drink so all the syrup isnt a cold gooey mess at the bottom. Thanks, also, for not letting my shots sit until they taste like a rotten pecan butt. I really hate that.

And thanks for always smiling here.

I know, I know...reviewing a Starbucks? Ruggy, c'mon! Well, this place is very near and dear to my heart.

As some of you know, I used to work on the morning show at 91X. That meant that I had to wake up at 3:30 a.m. every morning to get to the radio station by about 4:30. It took me about one hour to fumble around my house and get my ass in gear. This particular Starbucks is located right down the street from the station. What I loved about these guys was their dedication to serve the folks in the area that woke up earlier than most. In addition to the station, there is a whole bunch of military housing in the area. Those cats gotta get to work hella early as well. Usually by about 5:00 a.m. The employees decided that in an effort to accommodate us, they'd open a half hour early...at 4:30! This meant all of their employees had to wake up a half-hour earlier than almost all other Starbucks' in the region. Being someone that woke up at these ungodly hours for 7.5 years, I know that an extra half hour can be priceless! That extra 30 minutes definitely saved my sleepy ass from being late to work.

On top of that dedication, the employees never bitched about it. They were always really friendly. I actually really miss seeing that morning crew. Especially Jeff, the manager. That dude is cool. He wears outlandish wigs on Fridays...don't ask me why.

Another cool thing about this location, is it's right down the street from the Chargers training facility. I can't tell you how many times I've seen players and coaches in there. Norv Turner is there every morning. It's pretty classic.

If this were anywhere else but Starbucks, I'd have to give it 5 stars.
