3 reviews for Starbucks Coffee
This is my regular Starbucks. When studying at the library makes me want to kill myself, I head here.
The baristas are generally all pleasant. There are a few exceptions, but that happens at Starbucks. That happens everywhere.
There's plenty of seating, but this place is either packed or dead. There usually isn't an in between. There are also plenty of outlets in the cafe, which is a necessity for me. Parking is generally plentiful too.
This will be like yelling in an empty auditorium...
Reviewing Starbuck's food/offerings is now as pointless as revisiting Michael Jackson's penchant for little boys.
So, until the quality/or lack thereof of the food or products changes radically, the only thing worth reviewing is their customer service and their physical location.
This particular Starbucks has lousy customer service. The cashiers, manager and bariste are not particularly rude; they just talk too much about nothing with each other and with their customer friends. To the point that it gets in the way of their work. The worst offenders are a skinny girl who will not leave her co-workers alone or shut up for ten seconds; and the manager (or assistant manager?) who seems to enjoy the mindless banter, so I don't expect that to change any time soon.
If there are two people ahead of you, expect to be in there for 20 minutes or more. Plan ahead.
Because of its location, this Starbucks attracts many work-at-home professionals that are there to be seen working. They take up the very limited parking spaces and the limited seating for a lot longer than it takes to drink a cup of coffee. Too many hipsters in such a confined space make my eyes burn and my head hurt.
Location, location, location. That's why this Starbucks will never be short of clientele. I have been a loyal Starbucks customer for over 15 years and the fact that I'm stuck with this particular store right next to my office pisses me off (somewhat beyond reason).
This Starbucks is located on the SE corner of Highway 1 and Broward. It's close to the Las Olas restaurant, but not on the same same street. There are plenty of seats and tables and outlets to recharge your laptop. There is limited parking in the small parking lot.
